Juvia's morning definitely didn't turn out how she expected it to be. She didn't expect to be throwing up in her Fairy Hills dorm. Her hair was messily, tied up in a ponytail. A handful strands of hair hanging out, a couple of splotches of throw-up stained her over-sized shirt. She let out one last batch before collapsing on her bathroom floor.
Juvia truly didn't know what was wrong with her. What could possibly be wrong with her?
Maybe she ate some bad food? But all of the food she recently ate were cooked by her, so that couldn't be the problem. That's when Juvia felt nauseous again.
That's it. She had had enough. She had to go see porlyusica. She stumbled her way to her feet and made her way to her closet, desperately in need of a new outfit. Once she was changed, she careened her way out of fairy hills and through town. After about twenty minute of walking, she made it to the forest where Porlyusica remained. It was in the afternoon when she finally made it to Porlyusica's house, secluded in the forest.
Out of breath, Juvia knocked on the seasoned woman's house.
"What?!"
"It's Juvia, I've been feeling sick all morning and I wanted to see if you could figure out what's wrong with me?"
After a minute or two, Porlyusica eventually came to the door and opened it, letting Juvia in.
"Alright, I want this to be quick. What symptoms have you been having?"
"Well, I've been nauseous, dizzy, light-headed, throwing-up, and I've been getting lots of headaches." Porlyusica gave Juvia a look that read: girl you are stupid.
"Alright, let me have a look at you." She placed her hand slightly above Juvia's stomach and a small magic circle appeared. Subsequently, she removed her hand and she nodded. "Just as I thought…" She walked away, before coming back with a small glass container that held what it seemed to be, Tea leaves.
Juvia's mind was racing. What if she was dying?!
"What's happening to me?! Am I dying?"
"Calm down, kid. You're not dying, you're just pregnant."
Juvia couldn't believe what she just said. Juvia was pregnant!
"You've got to be kidding me, right?" Porlyusica shook her head. That's when reality came crashing down on Juvia. She was going to have a baby. And the worst part is, she didn't know who the father was!
Porlyusica handed Juvia the glass container. "Here, this will help with the baby. These tea leaves are filled with lots of vitamins that are good for pregnancy. Now go! Shoo! Get out!" She kicked Juvia out of her house. Before leaving, Juvia mumbled a small 'thank you' and went on her way. She arrived back at her apartment shortly.
She laid on her bed and went into deep thought. She had to think. Who has she slept with? Sadly, it wasn't with grey. If it was, she would've for sure remembered it. There was a guild party four weeks ago. She remembered getting drunk and waking up in someone else's bed. Blonde hair.
She remembered blonde hair.
It couldn't have been Lucy, because she didn't swing that way. The only possibility left was Laxus. Juvia felt like she was punched in the gut. It wasn't that she didn't like him or anything. It was that she felt as if he didn't like her.
She had to admit, Laxus was an attractive man, she just felt intimidated by his presence. That's all.
Juvia gulped. She was pregnant with the baby of the grandson of the master of the guild.
What would everyone think?
Would they think of her the same?
Questions were racing through Juvia's mind as she was lost in her thoughts. However, she interrupted when she heard a knock at her door.
"Hey, Juvia, are you okay in there? You haven't talked to anyone today. Do you maybe wanna come down to the guild?"
It was Cana.
Juvia snapped out of her thoughts.
"Yeah, I'll come down in a minute, I just gotta….umm do a few things."
"Alright I'll be at the bar if you need me." She walked away. Juvia sighed in relief. Maybe she could keep her pregnancy a secret? But that's when she realized….
She couldn't go on the high-paying missions anymore. All of the high-paying missions were dangerous and could potentially harm the baby. She had to get help. Juvia sobbed and dried up her tears quickly.
Now was not the time to cry. She was a future mother for pete's sake! She had to stay strong for her unborn child.
If she wanted help from anyone, it had to be the father. She had to find Laxus.
Juvia made her way out of her apartment, relieved that the morning sickness wore off for the meantime. On her way to the guild, Juvia made a mental note to stay away from the rest of the dragon slayers. They could possibly find out her pregnancy. She opened the doors to the guild and made her way to the bar where Cana was seated.
"Hey, girl, wanna drink?"
"Sorry, I'm gonna have to decline that offer."
"Your loss," Cana shrugged.
Juvia casually, scanned the guild for Laxus., but saw no signs of him. That's when Cana got a little nosy.
"Hey, who are you looking for?"
"No one," Juvia lied. It hurt her to lie to her friends. But it was for the best. Juvia waited an hour, but there were still no signs of Laxus. Juvia called it a day and decided to try again the next day. She left the guild and went to her favorite nearby lake. It was the lake she went to when she wanted to sit in silence. She hadn't been there in a while though.
When she finally made it there, she saw Laxus. He was sitting down in front of the lake.
Juvia timidly walked over to where he was sitting and sat down next to him.
"Laxus….. I'm pregnant."
