"Fuck!" Laxus groaned and went to his bathroom to splash some water in his face.

This wasn't real. Was he really about to become a father in nine months? No. This couldn't be real. He had just convinced himself that it wasn't real when he saw Juvia sitting in his living room. He sighed. This was real.

"I don't know what to do, Laxus."

"Well you can't go on any dangerous missions, meaning you'll need my help with your living expenditures. And all of that stuff."

"Well I know that," Juvia rolled her eyes. She hated having to depend on other people. She was an independent woman. But in this scenario, she had to. Laxus grunted after her response and she quickly apologized. "Sorry, I'm just frustrated." Laxus nodded.

"That's understandable considering our situation. So, what are you gonna do?"

Juvia scoffed. "Me? Don't you mean we? We're in this together. Don't be a jackass now, this is serious!"

"Don't you think I know that, woman? Don't you think this is hard for me, too?!" Suddenly, Juvia couldn't handle it anymore. She simply walked out of his house and began her way back to her apartment. It hurt her feelings that Laxus didn't even bother coming after her.

Why'd she have to get pregnant by such a jerk?!

Juvia made it back to fairy hills and avoided every 'hello' her guildmates threw her way. She decided to calm down her nerves and make some tea. She took her tea leaves and made her way to the fairy hill's kitchen. Boiling some hot water, she didn't notice Lucy, Wendy, and Levi standing there watching her from the entrance.

"Hi, juvia," Levi finally spoke up. Juvia was startled. She practically jumped out of her boots. Juvia turned around to meet face to face with Lucy, Levi, and wendy. But the thing was…..

Wendy was a dragon slayer. Juvia tried her best not to panic and wore a classic Natsu grin.

"Sorry to startle you," Lucy apologized. Lucy rubbed the back of her head.

"No, worries. May I ask what it is that you three wanted?"

"Well, the girls of fairy tail were going to go to the hot springs, and we wanted to know if you wanted to come with?"

"Well that sounds wonderful, I would gladly come but, unfortunately I have matters to attend to." She wasn't lying. She actually had to find a way to deal with Laxus.

"Oh, well we hope you get everything sorted out," Levi gave Juvia a big smile. And with that, they left. Juvia turned back to her boiling water and placed her tea leaves carefully into the pot. Juvia sighed in relief as she thought Wendy hadn't noticed anything unusual about her. Suddenly, a small hand was planted on her shoulder. Juvia turned around to see who it was.

Wendy.

"Juvia, may I talk to you?" Juvia tried to act as normal as possible, but that couldn't be accomplished. Tears started to build up in her eyes, her nose got stuffy, etc. Her legs collapsed as she broke down into sobs. She had promised her child that she wouldn't cry! Wendy pulled her into a hug, assuring her that everything will be fine.

"I-I can't e-even remember w-what happened!"

"Shhh, it's okay. I already know what's going on with you. It's okay, juvia. Whoever the father is, I'm sure they'll accept you and the child. You'll be a wonderful mother, I know so."

"Really?"

"Positive." The two continued on hugging and there was a comfortable silence in the air.

"Hey, Wendy?"

"Hm?"

"Could you maybe keep this a secret, like until I'm ready to tell the guild." Wendy nodded in agreement, signaling that she'd grant her wish."

"Ok I have to go, have to head to the springs." The two got up onto their legs. Wendy dusted off her clothes, while Juvia wiped her tears away. Wendy headed to the exit right before giving Juvia one last goodbye.

Juvia's lips were still quivering from the shock. Breath in. Breath out. After a minute or two, she eventually calmed down. She turned her attention back to her tea. It was done. She set down the kettle onto a tray with teacups and tea plates. She carried it to her room. Setting the tray down on her coffee table, she poured herself a cup and sat down on her bed.

*

The sun shined through Juvia's curtains, awakening the sleeping beauty. She tossed and turned until, eventually it was time to get up. Walking into her bathroom, Juvia looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess, a handful of hair matted to her forehead with sweat, eyes were bloodshot, eyelids looked like sausages from how much she had cried the night before. She couldn't believe how fragile she was! She broke the promise she made to her unborn child. And she would never forgive herself for the mistake she made. She quickly got ready for the day and was about to leave when a knock at her door caught her attention.

"Coming!" Juvia sprinted to the door and came eye to eye with the person she really didn't want to see. "Oh, it's you," Juvia's face wore an expression of disappointment on it.

"Let me in, woman I didn't sneak in for nothing." Juvia let him in.

"Why didn't you just teleport in?"

"Because, that would've been rude."

Juvia scoffed. "Since when did Laxus Dreyar not do anything rude?" Laxus gave her a look that read 'shut up.'

"Listen, I wanted to apologize for what I said."

"Umm, excuse me?! Did she just hear THE LAXUS DREYAR apologize?! Can you say that again?" Juvia knew she was being petty, she just couldn't help herself. Never in a million years would she have ever thought that the dragon slayer would be attracted to her. Not in a million years.

"I want to make this work between us, I don't want my kid growing up without a father. So I say let's give it a try?" His hands occupied his pockets, while his expression on his face was serious. The light from the sun shone down on his beautiful greenish blue eyes. Juvia had to admit, she did find him attractive. It's just that she'd been fawning over grey for so long, that she never paid attention to any other boy. Wait. What about grey? What would he think about all of this? Well it didn't matter anymore. All that mattered was her and laxus's relationship for the baby.
