It was a few days later when a typical breakfast with her grandparents started spiraling into an epic adventure.
"We only had a minute till the mob arrived, our previous partners, the pirates having betrayed us once we located the temple. In order to steal the ancient alabama temple's treasure for themselves." Her grandma said reminiscing about her glory days.
"Well what happened? You don't have the treasure now, uh do you?" Takachi said, listening intently.
"We know what happened to it." Her grandpa said, adding his two cents.
"We'd never be able to find it again with our age." Her grandparents shared a look.
"But you could." Her grandpa smiled and Takachi felt foreboding. She was not going to let herself be pressured into embarkinking into the wilderness, but they just looked so hopeful and it was a weekend after all.
"If I were to uh, say, go look for it. Where would I do that?" It might be fun, considering how much her grandparents talked about it. Not to mention how happy they would be if she found it.
"Alright! Just follow this map, the mystery's part of the fun." Her grandma said, all too ready to send her on her own. With nothing but a bag of necesites, clothes, and a map. Not counting her camera and wallet which she always took with her. She was suited up in her regular outfit which had a few minor changes, her blue sweater was subbed for a turquoise one and her single flip flop for boots.
Her grandparents watched with teary eyes and wrinkly faces as she walked away. While she was walking she unroled the map, amongst the region's landmarks was Mt Hakobe's summit, marked 'clue'. She decided it was her best bet to head there.
The mountain was cold and treacherous during the winter and other seasons. Takachi knew it was the way to go, so she headed north, thanks to her new found compass.
She managed to catch the Cat bus soon after. The cat bus took people to and from the mountain, a lot quicker than walking she might add. The scenery that flashed by the busses windows was quite chill in her opinion.
When she exited the bus she was greeted with the mountain's base camp. The mountain climbers were easy to locate due to their heavy gear. She approached them, as it was the obvious solution to getting to the summit.
"Do you have uh, room for one more?" Takachi said. The mountain climbers' looks were lethal.
"You just showed up, and you're not even prepared!" A tall guy said. He had a red ski jacket and unruly brown hair held back by ski goggles.
"Uh I have cookies?" She said, sweat drops freezing against her palms.
"Well you should have led with that!" A blond woman said. The rest of the group seemed to agree judging by their expressions. Takachi reached a hand behind her and into her pack, grabbing a tupperware container filled with cookies.
"Here." She said, paying her dues (the cookies). Ski goggles sighed at this.
"Well you should at least slip some ski pants over your shorts, there's some extras in the supply tent, grab yourself some gear too" He said gesturing at the tent next to him.
Takachi went into the tent and slipped a pair of black ski pants and a harness carrying several tools over her shorts. She then walked out. The blonde woman and the ski goggles guy were smiling at each other.
"We're excited to have someone else joining us, you're in for a real treat." The woman said before introducing the group. "I'm Jamaica, this is ski goggles" Apparently that was his actual name. " This is Bro, Dude, and Legendary." She said gestures to the other mountain climbers, who's only notable difference was their jacket colors. Which were blue, green, and black respectively. They all had short choppy black hair with goggles and face masks concealing the rest of their faces.

They proceeded to climb the mountain. Scaling a large cliff face made of ice. Everyone was paired up, one of them would climb up a bit before hammering a piton into the cliff face, which the carabiner of the closest climber would then be attached, followed by the climber's partner climbing further up and repeating the process.
Takachi was more than thankful for the gloves she had found in her pack when she hammered yet another piton into the cliff face.
"What do you call it when a snowboarder scrapes all the powder off a run?" Legendary, who she was partnered with asked.
"A uh, snowboarder?" She said.
"Exactly!" He said.
"Well skiings a lot easier, so you wouldn't get it." Bro said.
"Oh, please. Skiing takes a million times more skills." Legendary said.
"Does not!" Bro said.
"Does too!" Legendary said. "What do you think, Jamaica?"
"I'd say skiing's better." She said thoughtfully.
"That's because you're biased." Ski goggles said.
"You're name's Ski, I think you're biased too." Dude said. Everyone was pretty close to the ledge by now.
"What about you?" Legendary said. "Takachi, skiing or snowboarding?" Takachi thought for a moment.
"I don't know, I've never, you know, skied or snowboarded before." Takachi said.
What!" Everyone exclaimed.
"You need to try skiing, it's the best." Legendary said.
"Or snowboarding." Bro said.
"We can decide whether Takachi should try skiing or snowboarding once we summit, but we need to keep it down. We're entering avalanche country." Ski said, before he heaved himself up. Everyone else followed suit.
Once they were on top of the cliff they realised something. They had company, and from the looks of it, it wasn't the pleasant kind.
