Introduction: The Beginning of the End
Tensions have erupted among the greatest nations in the world. As China's ever-growing industrial power continued to expand and it's monopoly over the manufacturing front became assured, its desire for expansion grew as well. The Chinese Government, led by its new and incredibly ambitious ruler, Chao Cheong, began a land grab on the North Eastern border of India, thrusting the world into a new age of war and almost immediately devastating the economies that depended on China for trade. Within days, Russian and North Korean troops, now allied with the Chinese, also began invasions of Belarus and South Korea respectively. These aggressors began calling themselves New Asia.
Within weeks, large scale fighting broke out in India, Lithuania, Mongolia, Southern Japan and the Northern Philippines as well as numerous other smaller locations. The US, Canada, England, France and several of the other Western European countries mobilized their troops towards the conflict. With countries continuing to take sides in this international conflict, with quirks being introduced to the fray, and with pro heroes leaving behind their cities for the front lines in order to do their civic duty, this war may very well become the bloodiest known to humanity as a whole.
Already, the death count is in the thousands and rapidly climbs as a new mix of trench warfare and direct combat is used in this war. The most powerful quirk users, some even being pro heroes, dominate the battlefield, more dangerous than any man-made weapon ever used in combat outside of the atomic bomb. As this war continues to rage, many will fall, and the fate of the entire world is left in the hands of the men and women on the front lines.
The world away from the fighting watches anxiously to see who will emerge victorious, and change history forever.
Hello to everyone reading this, it's WhyDidIDecideToMakeThis (Obviously). This is't completely my first rodeo, I have done a little writing here and there and even had another SYOC story, but it was very rushed, so I decided to start anew, clean the slate. I do hope you all enjoy this new story I have created and I honestly can't wait to see just what kind of characters you're going to send me!
A little backstory for exactly what your characters will be getting into. This war is set some 40 years after the events of MHA, and the characters of the platoon we will be following will mostly be fighting on the western front in the area around Hungary and Poland, not all cities shown will be real though. That being said, with all the countries involved, I'll accept characters from all nations except:
-China
-Russia
-Kazakhstan
-Mongolia
-Georgia
-Turkey
-Either of the Koreas
These are all nations belonging to "New Asia" and will not be accepted for the Allies.
This is again, a SYOC story, and that being said I have to lay down some rules, which I insist you read before submitting. This character sheet can also be found in my Profile.
Rules:
1) No Gary Stu's or Mary Sue's, you should know this by now. Everyone has a weakness. Powerful quirks are OK but your OC can't be perfect or a god.
2) No characters from the countries listed above until I open submissions for New Asian forces.
3) Never in any way, shape or form am I accepting a character from the review section. PM SUBMISSIONS ONLY.
4) Please title submissions as "WDB (Last Name), (First Name) (Quirk)" to make things easier on me.
5) Please make your quirk creative, nothing stereotypical and if it is, make it INTERESTING.
6) You must fill out the entire character sheet and ONLY this character sheet, if you send me someone else's character sheet, your OC will NOT be accepted.
7) Be sure to review! You don't need to do so every chapter but it helps me stay motivated to write.
8) Any character not accepted into the main platoon will be moved to what I'm calling"Platoon 2" these characters will also see plenty of action, and will be fighting more on the Eastern Front. If you want to submit to this platoon directly, please put "WDB2" in your submission title in the place of "WDB"
9) If I feel the need to reject your character I will, but I will also tell you why.
10) Any AFO/OFA quirks or those similar to them are immediately OUT
11) The deadline is Jan 15th, so take your time! A prologue will be released some time before this deadline!
