"It should be it." Takachi said, staring into the abyss.
"You should grab a flashlight." Legendary said, after he grabbed his own. Takachi followed suit. Once the cave was lit up it didn't seem as bad. Between the ice and stalactites that is.
"Into the unknown." She said. Proceeding to step forward.
"Indeed." Legendary said, as he followed behind. The floors were clear of anything but ice, as were the walls. The dark was freaking Takachi out a bit.
"You uh, don't suppose those monkeys from earlier might uh, live here?" She asked.
"That's a very good question." Legendary said, carefully observing their surroundings. Takachi was by no means rest assured by this. They both jumped every time they heard a droplet fall from the caves ceiling.
"Um, do you think they eat people?" Takachi asked.
"Probably, why else would they attack us?" He said.
"For our money?" She said.
"Yeah, because monkeys have their own mafia." He said.
"I wouldn't uh, go that far, It's a good idea for a book though." Takachi said.
"I was being sarcastic." Legendary said.
"Oh, right." Takachi said, before she heard something other than water droplets. Her and her unofficial sidekick hid against the cave wall, hoping that whatever was around the corner was vegan.
It was a, wait for it, keep waiting... a mouse. Wait they were wrong, it was much worse, it was a rat. The rat was chewing on the leg of a table, never mind how it survives such cold temperatures. Whatever's on that table might be a clue.
They approached the newly found area, specifically the desk. Inside the desk was something unexpected. A game of clue! First edition at that, now that was luck.
"Sweet!" Legendary said, picking up the game board. "Everyone'll be stoked if we bring this back." Holding it up.
"Huh, I was expecting more of a uh, X marks the spot, sort of thing." Takachi said as she examined it for herself. "You can keep it if uh, you want."
"Sounds good." He said, happily placing it in his bag. "This sidekick thing is really working out for me."
"Now we just uh, have to go all the way back up." Takachi said. Thus they left the cave, and hiked all the way back up the slope. However painful it might be.

Whatever Takachi had thought they were setting up for, this was not it. Tshi was a wedding. With folding chairs, and Ski goggles and Jamaica in their suit and wedding dress.
"You're uh, married now?" She said, surprised.
"Getting married." Jamaica corrected, finding her surprise amusing.
"Well, uh congratulations." Takachi said. Feeling a bit out of place as she sat down in one of the few chairs.
"Is everyone ready?" Ski goggles said smiling at his fiance. Everyone nodded. Bro standing between them.
"Did you prepare vows or do you want to use the standard ones?" He asked.
"We were going to, but we forgot." Jamaica said, a bit sheepish.
Bro cleared his throat and began."Last year when they tied while racing, no one thought their many rematches would lead to a relationship. However, I can't imagine things going any other way. Us brothers reuniting, even the kid coming along. We join today to participate in a matrimoney of the ages."
"Do you want to get married?" He continued.
"I don't think that's how it's supposed to go." Legendary whispered, before Dude shushed him.
"We do." Jamaica said.
"I do." Goggles said.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, Ski and Jamaica Goggles. Do your thing." Bro said, and Takachi averted her eyes away from the thing. They all clapped, and Jamaica tossed the bouquet behind her. A little too far since it rolled off the mountain top.
They erupted into even more cheers, so much so that the mountain's cliff sides rumbled, snow rolling down. They paused before continuing.
"Neato right?"Legendary said.
"Uh, very neato." Takachi said, snapping a picture. Once the cheering died down they noticed something, approaching the displaced snow was the rune knights.
"Lets go guys!" Jamaica shouted, taking her skis and ski boots out of her bag.
"Take these." Ski said, handing her similar equipment. "I thought this might happen."
Takachi wasted no time in taking off her current boots, placing them in her bag, and putting on the ski boots. She proceeded to put her ski boots into the skis, pushing them down so they clicked into place. She ski waddled over to the ledge like the others had done.
"How do I uh, ski exactly?" Takachi said.
"Just make lots of turns, and turn extra hard to stop." Ski goggles said, pushing his snowboarding self onto the slope. Takachi followed suit, experiencing a burst of speed as she started down the slope.
Following Ski's advice she made a large turn to slow herself down, nearly falling over. That didn't stop her from making another, and more after that. However unskilled she was, she was skiing.
It was invigorating, scary, fun, and challenging. It wasn't too long before they reached the bottom, well everyone but Takachi and Legendary. Takachi being incredibly inexperienced and experiencing quite a few falls, and Legendary being the good adventure buddy he was, made sure she wasn't dieing.
There was a problem with the others though. The area they skied into was already surrounding.
"Don't worry, they've escaped prison plenty of times." Legendary said, turning in another direction to avoid the ruin knights. Takachi, not wanting to get arrested, followed his lead.
Together they managed to avoid the rune knights, before catching the cat bus a little off the beaten path.
