Sarah ran down the hall as far and as fast as her feet would carry her. Wiping away her tears with her sleeve, she sniffled.

It was far too soon. Far, far too soon.

She made it too her bedchamber door and opened the door and slammed it shut after she entered.

She flopped onto her bed and began to sob as hard as she could.

"It isn't fair! It just isn't fair!" She screamed as she threw a pillow at the wall.

"Happy with yourself?"

Sarah looked up to see a fuming Goblin King. He was glowering down at her, and crossed in front of himself.

"J-Jareth! Please, forgive me! But it's just too soon! I can't marry you now!"

"After all I have given to you, after all I have done for you! Do not defy me, Sarah Williams!"

Sarah didn't know what to think.

Jareth conjured up a crystal ball and threw it at the wall. It broke into thousands of pieces. Sarah screamed in shock.

"Jareth! Please! Reason with me! It's far too soon to get married, can't you see?"

Jareth took a step towards her and grabbed her by the chin, "I said, 'do not defy me, Sarah'." He sneered. He released her. And she dropped onto her stomach. She looked up at him with even more tears in her eyes.

Jareth began to soften his hard stare.

"Oh, Sarah, my love... what have I done?" He slumped on the bed and she climbed into his lap and nuzzled into his neck. He hugged her as tight as he could, his eyes watered.

"Sarah, Precious, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you and frighten you. I never wanted to hurt you like I did. I was just so mad, I felt so rejected and I-"

"It's ok, Jareth. I-I love you!" She exclaimed.

Jareth laughed and placed his hand on her cheek. They looked into each other's eyes and kissed passionately.

Jareth felt like he was flying. Their first kiss was good, but this? This was better. She loved him! She actually loved him!

Jareth pulled away and picked Sarah up and laid her back down in bed.

"Why don't you take a nap? I think you need a little time to yourself." Jareth said as he pulled the covers up to her chest. He kissed her forehead lovingly and walked out of the room shutting the door behind him.
