Hey you guys, like I said I was making a new chapter and here it is! It may not be that good but I haven't been on this for a very long time. I'll continue to do my best so please bear with me. I just hope you guys don't start hating on this story, I was inspired by other stories I read. I also tried typing this in a new way, let me know if you like it or would you rather it be in classic paragraphs? Anyways without any further interruptions, here's the new chapter!!

"Alright, what should we start with?" asked Ulysses while scratching his chin.

(Well first things first we gotta find some wood and make some planks or something.) Dante replied.

While they were thinking, Ulysses thought about a plan that could cover everything. "I got it, I still have my money that my parents gave me, I can just use it to buy tools and planks at a hardware store back in the city, but it might take awhile since Lumiose is kind of far."

(Dont worry, we'll be ok here.) Ally said with a confident look while clenching one of her paws infront of her.

(Yes but I would recommend that someone go with you so you don't get hurt or attacked.)

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea Dante." Ulysses thought for a moment.

"I don't want Amber going since she might see her old trainer there."

Ally, Dante, and Eevee all looked at each other with a confused look.

"Oh yeah I guess we never told you how we met." He said while scratching the back of his head. "Do you want me to tell them or do you Amber?"

She looked at the ground blankly. (I'll tell them) She said while looking up.

(I'll just summarize it so we don't have to stand here for long. It all started when my old trainer couldn't stand the thought of losing anymore on TV, I was just a Fennekin then. I guess she lost it when she ran off at the last performance. I chased after her to see if she was ok, but when I caught up to her near the edge of the city she just told me to stay or else.. It made me really sad to think that she was just gonna ditch me. After that I heard someone running toward me, picking me up and yelling at my trainer. He stood up for me and i'm very grateful for that. And the rest is history.) Amber smiled.

Ally walked closer to Ulysses and tugged on his shirt, (I know what abandonment feels like, trust me but I'm glad that you're you. And you saved me and Amber from terrible trainers.)

He petted them both and smiled. Dante put his hand on Ulysses's shoulder and said (You're a good man, I hope you know that.)

"Thanks. Alright so who wants to come with me then?"

(Umm how about Dante goes with you and Ally stays here with me and Eevee. I'm pretty sure we can defend ourselves and each other, besides you and Dante should get to know each other.)

"I guess so but are you sure you guys will be ok here?"

(Yes I'm sure.)

"Ok then but we'll be back before dark so don't do anything stupid."

(Ok dad sheeeesh.) Amber said sarcasticly.

"Well we're off then, come on Dante." He nodded and followed.

(Stay safe!!) Eevee yelled out and we waved back.

"Do you think they'll be fine on their own?"

(Im sure they will be, as long as they don't seperate from each other.)

"I guess you're right." They walked for a little over an hour and we're coming up on the city. "Hm.. So we need planks, some tools, nails, and paint? How are we gonna carry it back??" Ulysses wondered.

(I suppose so but can't you ask the person at the shop about all that?)

"Oh yeah." As soon as they made it to Lumiose city they searched for a hardware store. Dante caught a glimpse of a sign that had a hammer on it.

(Would that be it over there?)

"Nice eye man! Lets head over there."

(Thank you.) Dante was suprised by the compliment.

When they reached the store Ulysses raised his voice a little because no one was at the register.

"Hey is anybody here!"

A man responded from the backroom, "Just a minute!"

He walked over to the counter and greeted the both of them.

"Hello there! My name is Rob, how can I help you this afternoon?"

He was a man looking like in his 40's but well built, looking like he can hold his own.

"Yes um we were wondering if we could buy supplies to build an entirely new cabin, you see my old cabin was burned down in an unfortunate accident." Ulysses said.

"It might be a bit difficult but I'm pretty sure I can gather up plenty of the supplies that you need!"

Rob looked happy just to help them out.

"Thank you! And do you do delivery by any chance? I don't have anyway of transportation, we just walked here."

Rob replied, "Oh sure! It might cost extra, but I can give you a discount since you've been nice."

Ulysses looked at Dante with a smile, "You were right!"

(Well I guessed to be honest.)

"Wait what?"

Rob then pulled out a map, "Do you mind marking where you live so I know where to deliver these items?"

"Oh yeah sure, it's umm... Let's see.. Oh! It's right over here! When you get there you should be able to see black marks on the ground so.." Ulysses replied.

"Ok so you're total will be hmm.. About 500 but with a discount that I promised you, 350."

"Thank you soo much!!" Ulysses sounded really excited.

"Ah it's nothing, just happy to be of service. Machoke get ready we have another order!! All right, it shouldn't take that long to get the things into the truck. Would you like a ride back to where you'll be building this cabin? We're gonna head over when it's time to close though."

Ulysses then looking even more happy said, "We would love a ride back! Thank you! Well we'll be back later, we're just gonna explore the city a bit."

"All righty, sounds good then." Rob replied.

"Come on Dante, let's go see if we can buy anything else."

(Ok sure, it might even be something cool.)

They kept walking until Ulysses couldn't help but remember how Amber talked about her abandonment and Ally's harsher story.

"Hey Dante?"

(Hmm?)

"Do you think I should buy a form of defense, like a knife or something? I need to protect myself to, plus I want to protect you guys in case you can't use your moves and it's a really serious battle, like in one where I.. We.. could lose our lives. I want to be able to fight to, and fight till the end.." Ulysses said in a sad tone.

Dante turned towards him and put his hand on his shoulder, (If you think you really need to then do it, buy one, train with it, and become a great fighter. I can only help you train in hand-to-hand combat. You could apply that with your knife in your alone training time.)

"All right, I'll do it. To protect myself and others." He said in a serious tone.

They found a sort of Blacksmith shop that crafted all sorts of things. Armor, shields, swords, and even different types of knives. Ulysses looked around in amazement at how many things there were and how nice they looked. There was a man at the counter who called towards them.

"Hey, you looking for anything in particular?"

"Well sort of. I'm just looking for a knife or 2 that would be good in up close fighting, and maybe one of them I can throw in a tight situation? Im only going to use them in defense and never attack another on purpose or for fun. I just want to protect my friends in the event that they can't defend themselves."

"Ah, a man of honor. Well if you're looking for a knife that you can throw, I would recommend a kunai. It's good for both fighting up close and throwing, but another one specifically just for fighting up close? Oh, I have just the thing! It's a kunai that's worn like brass knuckles. It should be perfect for what you're looking for."

"That sounds great! I'll take them both." Ulysses paid for them, thanked the man and left to return to the hardware store.

As they were walking Ulysses put them away behind him so he wouldn't get any wierd looks. It was getting dark and they arrived the hardware store.

"Did you find anything that you liked?" Rob told Ulysses.

"I sure did, are you ready to head out?" He replied

"Yes let me just close up and we can leave." Rob then locked everything up and they all walked out towards a truck.

"Hey Rob, where's your machoke from earlier?" Ulysses wondered.

"Oh he's back in his pokeball, I let him take a good rest, he did most of the lifting today so it only seemed fair. Plus I wouldn't want to leave him alone at the shop. Why did you want to see him?"

"No it's ok, I was just wondering."

They drove back and it felt like it didn't take long. Amber, Ally, and Eevee were coming into sight with a lit fire.

Ulysses poked his head out the window and yelled towards them. "Hey! We're back!! And we brought all the things we need!!"

They turned toward them and looked very happy to see them again. (Yay you guys are back!!) Eevee said while jumping.

Rob parked nearby and asked them a question. "So do you just want the stuff over here then?"

"Yeah don't worry we'll move them when it's all unloaded, come on Amber, Ally, and Dante, lets help unload it all."

(Got it.) They all replied

"Eevee you can just sit and watch since you don't have hands, I'm sorry you can't help."

(Oh don't worry, it would probably be too heavy anyways.)

As soon as it was all unloaded they said their goodbyes to Rob and he drove off.

"Well it's night time, we need to get some rest so we can start building tomorrow morning. Do you all want to go inside your pokeballs? You'll be safe in there."

(What about you master?) Amber asked looking down.

"I'll just make a makeshit bed and sleep next to the fire."

(But won't you be alone?) Ally asked

"I've been alone before. I lived out here a couple months before I met you guys." Ulysses said in a fake confident tone.

(Riiiight, ok so they'll all sleep out here with you while I form a protective barrier from my move protect, and don't worry about me, I'll just meditate while I do it, which basically the same as sleeping for me.) Dante said in a brave tone.

"Uhh ok then sounds like a plan. Just wake me up if you need my help with anything."

(Will do, now get some rest.) Dante said while he was making the barrier, getting into a meditative postion and Ulysses got into a sleeping position and the other pokemon were laying right near him to keep him warm.

"Good night everyone!"

(Good night master!) The 3 pokemon said while yawning.

(Good night Ulysses.) Dante said as he started to close his eyes and float.
