5. Storeroom Rescue.

Crystelle knows just where the Tardises are stored on Gallifrey. During the four months that she was on Gallifrey (see episode 9, Gallifrey Exhumed in this series), the Gallifrey Librarian showed her a few things, one of them was just where the Tardis storeroom was.

Crystelle tells the Tardis her plan, just where and when she wants to go. "We went to Gallifrey to pick up thousands of people, and I was one of them," Crystelle says. "There is a Tardis storeroom below the Library, can we find it?"
A plan of the Tardis storeroom appears on the Console monitor. Crystelle affirms it. "That's the storeroom. Can we visit it and extract one Tardis just before the roof falls in? We can rescue one Tardis from an ignominious fate." She appeals to the Tardis's desire to rescue another Tardis.

The Tardis grinds.

The Tardis encapsulates another Tardis in the storeroom, just before the roof falls in. There is no chance of returning it as the time is critical and last second.

"Can we put the rescued Tardis in a prepared room in my laboratory?" Crystelle says. "I love the Doctor and Ommera. I would love to give them a holiday, or time to settle down and have a family, if the Doctor would ever permit. I can take the Doctor and Ommera somewhere nice for a romantic holiday. Somewhere the Doctor can really enjoy and share with Ommera."

The Tardis grinds.

Crystelle is surprised to find that her rescued Tardis becomes just a door in one of the walls of her laboratory. It makes itself look exactly like one of the other doors.

Then she returns the Doctor's Tardis to the Tinsel Park where it had been.

"Thank you, Tardis," Crystelle says. "I knew you would understand." She hugs one of the Tardis's pillars. "This means so much to me." Crystelle has shared her plans with the Tardis. What can the Tardis do? But they are plans for good. The Tardis decides to allow her out!

Crystelle walks back to her bungalow. She lets herself in quietly. Devyon is asleep on the settee and it is nearly morning. Crystelle is pleased. She has a highly skilled and driven friend who is close to her. Crystelle goes into the kitchen and starts preparing breakfast. No sleep tonight. But what a secret to keep!

What is Crystelle building up to? Her own Tardis? Not even a Time Lord! It certainly wouldn't be allowed by the Doctor! What about rescuing a Tardis? How much is Crystelle bending the rules? Will the Doctor notice? Will the Master notice? She did steal it from under his nose! How many risks is she taking? Crystelle may regard it as a rescue, but the Tardis isn't hers, she doesn't own it!

Breakfast.

The Doctor, Ommera and Crystelle sit down to breakfast. Left over BewilderBeast from the new BeestThorne restaurant. Very tasty!

"I do hope you enjoyed my party," Crystelle says. "Doctor, I called you using the pager, Was that okay?"
"On this occasion, yes. I'll let you off," the Doctor says. "You did say it was for a party. I could have ignored it."
"What were you doing when the pager called you?" Crystelle asks. "Were you in the middle of something?"
"Only a game of VibraTile!" Ommera says. "I didn't mind the interruption."
"Yes, but I was winning!" the Doctor jests.
They all laugh.

"So, tell me about the yellow swirls last night," the Doctor asks.
"I didn't see that," Ommera says. "What happened?"
"Crystelle's friend, Joe, sliced his hand," the Doctor says.
Ommera shudders, "Yuk."
"But then yellow swirls rose up, like the regeneration mist," the Doctor says.
"How did Crystelle explain it yesterday?" Ommera asks.
"She said that there is a new healing balm available just now," the Doctor says.
"Then that's what it was," Ommera says flatly. "Now, would you like a helping hand in the kitchen, Crystelle?"
Ommera really steam-rollered that conversation!

Although the Doctor can see that something isn't right, he doesn't want to hurt either of these girls feelings. How long before the Doctor finds out, though? And how might he find out? And what might he find out?
