Sarah awoke two hours later to the sound of birds singing. She sat up in bed.

She decided to explore the castle, maybe even find Hoggle. She got up and walked out the door. She slowly walked down the hall eyeing the walls covered in lit torches. She came to the ballroom door and stepped inside.

She saw something glittering in the corner. She moved towards it and bent down to grab it. She gasped, it was the ring.

She felt her heart drop. It was beautiful, she hadn't realized that before.

"I need to tell Jareth, I need to tell him I will marry him! And with that she rushed to his bedroom. She ran down the halls grasping the ring in her hand until she came to his door. She knocked twice.

"Come in." She heard. She opened to door slowly and saw Jareth standing by his window. She walked towards him and he turned around.

"What is it, Precious?"

She stopped and held the ring up, "Jareth, I came to tell you that I will marry you. I do love you, more than anyone I have ever known..."

Jareth raised an eyebrow and smiled. But then it dropped to a frown.

"You're trying to deceive me, aren't you? How could your mind change that quickly?" He demanded.

Sarah was shocked by his sudden change in mood.

"W-what do you mean?" She questioned as her hand dropped to her sides.

"What do you think I mean?" He sneered, "You're using me, aren't you? You're using me for the things I have! The power I have!"

"How could you say that?" Sarah mumbled?

"You don't know? You stupid girl!" He shouted, "Get out! Get out of my room!" He shrieked pointing to the door.

Sarah dropped the ring in fright and ran out the door, down the hall, and out the castle doors, crying all the way.
