Magic Tricks
Chapter 2
"Run!" Faith told Sakura.
She did as she said and ran and hid somewhere while staying close by for Faith.
Faith on the other hand had to focus on these people.
"Come at me." She said.
The three knights charged at her, but she only got one of them.
The owner was throwing things and Faith had to keep this princess off of her at the same time.
Fighting hard to keep them off, she got the princess, but then the others disappeared. The owner stayed but he-sorry. It, went after Sakura.
"Sward!" She shouted.
She summoned one of her cards, and got the owner easily.
Soon it was just quiet.
"Are they gone?" Sakura asked.
"Nope. There are still two more knights and the fake Toya." Faith said putting her weapons away.
Her sai blades slid back into their place and the dagger was sheathed.
Sakura took back her card fast before Faith did something.
"What now?" She asked.
"We need to explore the hotel. We need to find them. If we don't we might be in this...limbo state for a while." If not forever. Faith thought.
The two headed back up to their room and had to figure out what their next move was going to be.
"I hope Toya's okay. And Tomoyo too." Sakura sighed.
"I'm sure they are." Faith said.
She began to focus on the magic to track this fake Toya. If only she knew who it really was. She may need to go back and check the list.
There wasn't much other people in there with Tomoyo, frozen in place.
But there wasn't a few other people there. Maybe they should check the other rooms.
"I'm going into the hall for a minute. Stay here." Faith said. Sakura didn't get a chance to speak before Faith was out the door.
She closed it shut and looked both ways making sure she wasn't getting ambushed.
With the coast clear, she headed down and checked each room.
How? She used her watch.
Checking her watch to see where the magic might be coming from, just in case this fake was in the room next door, or above her, or on the same floor at least.
But there didn't seem to be any sign of the magic.
Was it gone? No way! It was here. They basically are in a spirit world of things.
I guess another word would be "void" world of sorts. But either way, there was no sign of it.
Faith headed back and Sakura was fast asleep.
"It's supposed to be dark. I'm sure this whole thing will be over soon." Faith said while sitting in the chair watching Sakura sleep.
There had to be something. Faith then was getting something. She closed her eyes and let herself be taken away on wings.
When she opened them, she was in some clouds at a gate.
"Clow Reed?" Faith questioned.
"You know it's never going to be the master."
This tall woman came out of nowhere. Faith rolled her eyes. She hated this woman. But she had to respect her. Being close to him and all.
"What is the meaning of this call, Mamya?" She asked.
The woman scoffed but turned to face her. "You've messed with the wrong people. You know what that magic is?" She asked.
"A void spell?" Faith asked. She didn't care what it was. She just needed to know what it DID and then take that object and destroy it.
The woman glared at her. "This RING is the RING of POWER! You know that among these magical items there seven lucky pure gems. And the two CURSED rings." She said.
"Yes. the lucky pure gems were lost over millions of years ago before Clow Reed was ever born and such. The two rings-"
"Are the most DARKEST of all magics. You know the difference between white and black magic. This is similar to that." The woman said.
"Yes. But among those were other magics. Such as attacks, defense, shields, swords, and even stealth magic's. I know these books. I gathered them as part of my training."
"YOU took training books. History of them with simple spells. But you don't have any actual magic in you. And now, you've found one of the two rings." She said.
Faith didn't care. She rolled her eyes and was ready for this to be over.
"You know these rings of Power and Chaos are the darkest and the most powerful objects of destruction. And you also know, they cannot be destroyed." The woman said.
Mamya was just over reacting. Faith knew that those were impossible to de-spell. But if anyone could do it, she could.
"Good to know. I think it;s time for me to go." And Faith went on and left. She couldn't stay anyway. She'd been gone too long from Sakura and was getting worried.
Once Faith was back, she felt pain in her arm.
"What?" She looked at her arm in the mirror, and would you know it, she had the mark.
No one else would see it. Unless you looked in the mirror.
A small thing when you've been cursed yourself. The mark, of the Dark Horse.
"No." When her arm hurts this much, it means there is someone here who is part of the Dark Horse army.
They are a group who fight wars against, pretty much anything, but for her case, she is a cursed and this mark is a warning that she will die by dark magic.
Guess that's a sign that she'll die by those rings.
"Great. But I'm not stopping." Faith told herself.
"Faith?" Sakura woke up.
Faith fixed her shirt and turned her attention to Sakura. "Hey. Ready to go and save your brother?" She asked.
"Sure. Where is he?!" She asked.
"I believe this fake is somewhere on the other floors. So, let's head up and look. Hopefully, we won't run into any other possessed guests. But those other two knights are still out there. And they'll need to be dealt with." Faith explained.
Sakura nodded and they headed out.
Walking down the hall, they found the stairs and headed up.
