Chapter 2 - Nick's Return
The next morning, Chloe and Liam were at the airport. Liam was looking out the window! He wanted to see Nick get off one of the planes! But Chloe was watching the other people coming and going.
Chloe: There sure are a lot of people here! I wonder where they are going.
Liam turned around and saw what Chloe was talking about.
Liam: They must be going to somewhere special, wherever that is!
Just then, the two friends heard a loud BUMP! They turned to the window and saw that a plane door was open. In the doorway was a teenage boy in a brown hoodie, black cap, and sunglasses. Liam recognized the boy!
Liam: (gasps) It's Nick! He's back!
Nick: Hey there, TenderVille! Your cool kid is back!
As Nick entered the airport and picked up his luggage from the terminal, he was singing a song.
Nick (singing): One minute, I've been to Central Park
Then went down on Delancey Street
From the Bowery to St. Marks
There's a syncopated beat
I said whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm street-wise
I can improvise
I said whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm street-smart
I've got the city in my heart
Why should I worry?

And even when I crossed that line

Nick, Airport People (singing): Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo (etc.)
As soon as Nick finished the song, he found Liam and Chloe waiting for him.
Nick: Hey, Liam!
Liam: Welcome home, Nick! It's been kind of lonesome without you.
Nick: Feels good to be home!
Just then, Nick noticed Chloe who was speechless when she saw him.
Nick: Well, who's this, Liam? Is she a friend of yours?
Liam: Yes, this is Chloe, my new friend! She moved to this town four days ago.
Nick heard what Liam said, but he was lost in his thoughts.
Nick: (thinking) Chloe! What a beautiful name! And that pink hair! It's like a gorgeous sunset shining so bright.
Liam looked at Nick and was worried!
Liam: Nick, are you alright?
Nick: (snapped out of his thoughts) Huh? Oh, uh, yes!
Chloe: Is it true that you and Liam are friends?
Nick: Why, yes! (takes off his sunglasses) Now, I don't like to brag or anything, but we're like a duo! I'm the cool guy and Liam is the brains.
Just then, they heard a screaming sound! Nick turned around and a group of people coming towards him.
Nick: Uh oh, screaming fans! We better get going!
Nick, Chloe, and Liam hurried out of the airport just in time.
