Chapter 7 – The clubhouse
The next day after school, the eight friends went down a path on a hill outside of town. On the other side of the hill was a small forest!
Chloe: What did we come here?
Nick: There's something in the forest we want to show you!
And there was! In the forest was a golden house with musical notes on the walls! The door had a rainbow heart above it!
Melvin: After so many years, it's still here!
Nick: Chlo, welcome to the TenderVille Kids' clubhouse!
Liam: This is where we hang out after school!
Chloe: Wow!
After the door was unlocked and opened, the eight friends went inside!
Nick: Welcome back, everyone! I know it's been a long time since we've been here. But we've got a lot of rehearsing to do!
Spike: Uh, Nicholas! There's no way we can rehearse with the place like this.
And Spike was right! The furniture was covered in sheets! There was dust on the floors and stairs! There were cobwebs on the ceilings! The windows were dirty! And the backyard garden was full of weeds! The clubhouse was a complete mess!
Liam: Good point, Spike! But if we all work together, we can get it clean in no time.
Nick: Good idea, Liam!
All through the afternoon, the eight friends worked together to clean the clubhouse. They swept the floors and dusted the stairs. They washed the windows and got rid of the cobwebs. They weeded and watered the garden! And they uncovered the furniture!
Nick (singing): Come on everybody, let's clean up the house
Nick and Liam (speaking): Let"s go
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Come on everybody, let's clean up the house
Spike (singing): Clean up the house
Dereck: (speaking) Clean up the house
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Everybody, clean up the house
Nick (speaking): That's it, guys!
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Clean up the house
Stacy and Melvin (singing): Tidy it up, Tidy it up
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Clean up the house
Stacy and Melvin: Tidy it up, Tidy it up
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Everybody clean up the house
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (speaking): Let's take it upstairs
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Clean up the house
Liam (singing): We got to clean it up
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Clean up the house
Nick (singing): That's right now clean it up
Dereck (singing):Everybody clean up the house
Nick (speaking): That's right!

Felicity (singing): Clean up the house

Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Everybody clean up the house
Melvin (speaking): Oh baby, baby
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (singing): Everybody clean up the house
Nick, Liam, Felicity, Dereck, Spike, Stacy, Melvin (speaking): Lets clean up the house
By nightfall, the clubhouse was all clean and the eight friends were all tuckered out.
Nick: Great job, everyone! Now, let's go home and get a good night's rest! We start rehearsing after school tomorrow!
Liam: You got it, Nick!
And the eight friends went home, tired but confident!
