Chapter 10 – Nick finds out something about Chloe
The next day after school, Nick was on his way back to Gnome Manor. Nick was upset because earlier, he had been teased by one of the students.
Nick: Who does that Vickson think he is? Brittany is not my girlfriend! She never leaves me alone! That insult mouth was never my girlfriend now and she is not going to be my girlfriend. EVER! Trey can have her back! I'm not a chick magnet, anyways!
Just as he walked in through the front door, Nick heard a sound he recognized.
Nick: It's singing! And it sounds beautiful!
The more he listened, he forgot he was upset. Nick wondered where the singing was coming from.
Nick: It sounds like it's coming from upstairs!
Nick followed the singing up the stairs to the second floor, where he noticed the bedroom door was slightly open. Nick peeked through the open door and there was Chloe sitting on the bed, singing.
Chloe (singing): Gave you some tough talk, hurt your ego
Trip off that cool walk
Was it our show?
How does it feel down on the floor?
That's just how it goes when you don't know
You underestimate us
You think you're untouchable
And you don't know what we're made of
But now we're gonna let you know

Liam: Our Chloe can sing?
Felicity: Oh, my goodness!
Dereck: But, why?
Liam: I think I know what happened!
Spike: Really, how?
Liam: We were so busy with our shopping and rehearsing that we forgot about her.
Stacy: You mean-?
Nick: Yep, she felt-
Nick and Liam: Left out!
Nick: She must be planning to enter the competition herself.
Stacy: Oh, poor Chloe!
Melvin: What are we going to do?
Liam: There's got to be a way to cheer her up.
Suddenly, Nick and Liam looked at each other.
Nick and Liam: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
