Chapter 13 – The TenderVille Kids' performance
The other TenderVille Kids were so happy to have Nick, Chloe and Liam back.
Stacy: Thank goodness you're okay!
Melvin: And just in time too!
Spike: We're next!
Dereck: We're ready when you are, Nick!
Nick: Are you ready to perform, Chlo?
Chloe: I don't know about this!
Liam: Don't worry, Chloe!
Felicity: We'll be with you every step of the way.
Chloe: Thanks, guys!
The TenderVille Kids got onto the stage while the Emcee made the announcement.
Emcee: Ladies and Gentlemen! Representing TenderVille Middle School, it is my great pleasure to welcome back our hometown band, the TenderVille Kids.
And with that, the TenderVille Kids began the performance.
Nick (singing): We're soaring, flying
There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach
Chloe (singing): If we're trying

Nick (singing): You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than who we are
Chloe (singing): Creating space between us

Nick (singing): Flying
Nick and Chloe (singing): There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach
Nick (singing): If we're trying

Chloe (singing): Ohhh
The audience was rocking out as the TenderVille Kids sang.
Liam (singing): Can you feel it building
Like a wave the ocean just can't control
Felicity (singing): Connected by a feeling
Ooh, in our very souls
Dereck (singing): In our very souls
Stacy and Melvin (singing): Rising 'till it lifts us up
So every one can see
Spike (singing): We're breaking free
TenderVille Kids (singing): We're soaring, Flying

Nick and Chloe (singing): Oh, we're breaking free
TenderVille Kids (singing): Running, Climbing

Nick and Chloe (singing): And together

TenderVille Kids (singing):Both of us
Breaking free!
Just then, Dereck saw a cat wearing a blue jacket with a rainbow heart on it in the audience. Dereck recognized the cat.
Dereck: Trevor!
Trevor got onto the stage. The TenderVille Kids were happy to see him.
Felicity: Trevor, you're dancing!
Liam: You're moving great!
Nick: Welcome back, Trev!
Stacy: We really missed you!
Melvin: Great to have you back!
Spike: Wasn't the same without you!
Dereck: So, did you miss us?
Trevor: Of course I missed you! You're my friends!
Chloe: Glad you could come, Trevor!
Nick: I see you've already met him, Chloe.
Chloe: I sure have!
Nick: Ready to sing, Trev!
Trevor: You better believe it!
Trevor joined in with his friends. And all nine TenderVille Kids sang!
TenderVille Kids (singing): Soaring, Flying

Boys (singing): Breaking free
Girls (singing): Breaking free
TenderVille Kids (singing): We're running, climbing
To get to the place
To be all that we can be
Now's the time

Now is the time to free us
To touch the sky, to reach for the highest star
You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than who we are
After the TenderVille Kids finished the song, the audience clapped and cheered as loud as they could. Some of the audience members even hold up signs that say 'Welcome back TenderVille Kids!', 'We missed you!'
Stacy: They really missed us!
Melvin: They even remember us after all those years.
Dereck: What ever happened to Blackmailer Boris?
Nick: Don't worry! He's gotten what he deserve!
