Chapter 15 - The TenderVille Kids' Finale

Meanwhile at the school, all the groups had performed and now it was time to announce the winner.

Emcee: And the winner of the Battle of the Bands music contest is... The TenderVille Kids for TenderVille Middle School!

The audience clapped and cheered as loud as they could.

Emcee: On behalf of the music contest, I hereby present you with the prize money and the Gold music note trophy.

Nick: Thank you!

Liam: A little something for the music room and the music classes.

Spike: Ladies and Gentlemen, it's good to be back!

Melvin: We're so glad you remembered us, even after all those years.

Stacy: Not only did you witness our return tonight.

Felicity: You've also witness the debut of our new band member, Chloe!

The audience clapped as Chloe took a bow.

Emcee: Chloe, it's amazing that you can sing!

Chloe: I've been doing some singing by myself. But tonight was very special to me!

Emcee: There you have it! Chloe really does love singing.

Dereck: But not as much as Trevor likes sleeping! Look at this, everyone!

Everyone turned and there was Trevor, fast asleep while standing up.

Chloe: Uh-oh! He's gone back to sleep!

Liam: I don't believe this! Even after all this years, Trevor is always falling asleep.

Nick: Do you guys know how to wake Trevor up?

The audience remembered how it's done.

Nick: Looks like you do know! Okay, when I count to three, let's all call out 'Wake up, Trevor'. Are you ready? 1...2...3...

TenderVille Kids, Emcee, audience: WAKE UP, TREVOR!

Trevor wakes up and blubbers as he shakes his head.

Nick: Well done, everyone! Thanks for waking Trevor up!

Chloe: Now to end this evening, we ask all the other competitors to join us for one more song.

And all the competitors joined the TenderVille Kids on stage for the song.

TenderVille Kids (singing): Treat your friends nice

When you're playing at school.

It's okay to play hard,

But always play by the rules.

TenderVille Kids, competitors (singing): It's not if you win or lose.

It's all how you play the game.

Always be a good sport

Cause everybody's trying the same.

TenderVille Kids (singing): It's a fact of life -

You might not always win.

But just go on back out

And try it again.

TenderVille Kids, competitors (singing): It's not if you win or lose.

It's all how you play the game.

Always be a good sport

Cause everybody's trying the same.

It's not if you win or lose.

It's all how you play the game.

Always be a good sport

Cause everybody's trying the same.

The crowd cheered after the song was over.
