Chapter one The Passing
Disclaimer: I don't own card fight vanguard. This is a remake of my fanfic to seek a new life that would hopefully be better. This is going to be a fem Aichi x Leon. One of the changes is that Aichi will tell someone who she is. Thanks to YaoiFan22
Aichi's POV
I watched as my final attack was about to hit Dragon Overlord the Rebirth. I looked at Kai just to see that he was quite stoic about it. I could tell by the look in his eyes that something bad was going to happen. I decided to ask about it.
"What's with the look in your eyes, Kai?"
Kai looked away. He didn't even glance in my direction.
"What's with the look in your eye?" I asked again. Kai then explained. "After this fight is done, I'm going to disappear."
I couldn't believe what I heard. Kai, my idol, is going to disappear when the fight is over. There was nothing I could do when the damage went through. He didn't even get a Heal Trigger.
Dark energy came out of his deck and headed straight for him. Out of fear for my friend, I grabbed his deck before it got to him. The energy came straight for me. As soon as it touched me, a scorching pain filled my body. I couldn't hold back the scream as what felt like a surge of electricity hit me.
My vision blurred as a result of tears, but I could see Kai running towards me. I felt my knees buckle as the dark energy left me. I didn't hit the ground but something much softer. Kai must've caught me.
"I don't feel so well," I said weakly. My body shook with Kai's worrying. He was shaking me. "Please, Aichi, stay with us. Don't go to the other side."
I smiled weakly at that. "Please tell Leon that I love him."
"You can tell him yourself. I am so sorry; I never thought my choice would do this."
I smiled as my eyes closed. Weightlessness engulfed my body as I felt myself pass.
Kai's POV
I kept trying to shake Aichi awake even as I saw her eyes close. She wouldn't wake up no matter how hard I tried. I stopped after what felt like hours upon realizing that she won't. My vision grew blurry with tears as I picked her up. I carried her to down the stairs as fast as I could.
Upon leaving the building, I saw everyone. I looked away at their looks. Soon, someone took Aichi out of my arms. I looked to see she was now in Tetsu's.
"What's wrong with her? What happened up there, Kai?"
I mustered the strength to tell them what happened after Ren left. It was hard with the tears that threatened to spill over.
After retelling what happened, I saw many expressions. Some were shocked, some were angry, Ren and Leon wore understanding looks. They understood as they have also traded something for power in the past. The one that struck me most was the anger that Misaki showed. She was the most furious at what had happened. She saw Aichi as a little sister, her naïve little sister.
I looked at Leon as I remembered Aichi's words. Her final words.
"Aichi's final words were for me to tell you that she loves you."
The blonde's eyes widened in shock. After a second or two, he closed them and walked away. I did the same.
Third Person POV
It's been a month since Aichi's death. Nearly everyone has forgiven Kai because they knew what their friend would have wanted. Misaki was the only one who couldn't forgive him though. Kai couldn't blame her for it either, after all, how could he when he couldn't forgive himself.
Aichi's mom and sister, Emi, became depressed upon hearing the news of Aichi's death. They are going to therapy to help with the loss. Kourin, Rekka, and Suiko kept their memories due to something that Takuto did.
On planet Cray, something is happening. A girl with blue hair was laying down in a field of grass. She opened her eyes before she started to stretch. A voice called to her as she did so.
"Aichi Sendou, it is time to decide your fate."
"Is that you Takuto?" Aichi asked. Takuto's spirit materialized in front of the Card fighter. He was smiling. "Yes, it is. I'm here to give you a choice, Aichi Sendou."
Aichi nodded before the choices were given to her.
"I could either return to Earth with a different appearance or become a unit," Aichi repeated. Takuto nodded. "I will go back."
Takuto nodded. He did give the Card fighter a warning, however: "Be wary, Aichi Sendou, you can only tell one person who you are. You will disappear if you tell anyone else after that. The only exception is if they find out who you are in their own variation."
Aichi's POV
As soon as I gave a nod of agreement, light engulfed my body and vision.
I felt that I was in a very different place from the field I was in before. Opening my eyes, I found I was right. I was in the park. A familiar park too. This place is close to Card Capital. I went toward the lake and saw my appearance, I had somewhat dark lilac hair, green eyes and I was the same height or maybe shorter than before.
I smiled as I remembered what Takuto told me. The person I will tell my secret to is…
