"Richard is our number one patient," Miranda Bailey says.

"Let's get started, Neuro you got anything?" Catherine asked.

"I have consulted Koracick and our department is working it out, Dr.Webber is getting every scan in the hospital as we speak," Amelia said as she swiped her tablet.

"Good, Trauma?" Bailey asked.

"We haven't seen any trauma to the brain or any other part of his body, we are currently testing his blood work and working with General Surgery to match all symptoms," April states.

"Get that blood work ASAP, General?" Bailey asks.

"Like, Dr.Avery, stated we are waiting for all the results and currently making copies," Meredith said.

"A report came up," April said as she looked at her tablet, She pulled it up on the T.V.

"He was reported to have had hand tremors," April stated

"Alright everyone write that down, does it say for how long?" Bailey asks.

"About one month," April says she reads off the report.

Jackson noticed the surge of anger in his mother's eyes.

"I don't want your interns getting these reports, I want you all to go get them, the blood work? The attending's on the case get it, Everyone get to work and get those reports, everyone is staying in tonight, All the chiefs please stay in here," Bailey says.

Other attending's stood up and left.

"Dr. Sloan, have you come to any conclusion?" Bailey asked Lexie.

A very pregnant Lexie.

"He May have multiple sclerosis, vascular dementia, Alzheimer's, The list goes on but So far we haven't gotten anything due to the blood results, We aren't one hundred percent sure and We do need to get those scans in," Lexie replies.

"Alright," Bailey said as everyone got to work.

...

Different departments conversed with each other.

Especially, Lexie, April and Maggie.

The scans came back as Lexie and Derek examined them.

After about three hours, Bailey got everyone to group up again and they discussed their discoveries.

"Kepner, Speak," Bailey starts.

"Okay, So we did the drug test and he has been taking some beta blockers, most likely to treat the tremors, We have gathered some medical history and he did have a minor surgery a few years back due to electrocution, He has an excessively high blood pressure, which is what cause may have contributed the stroke," April said.

Catherine tensed up.

"Dr. Shepherd and I discussed his scans. As you can see, there is a tiny little blood clot...which caused the stroke..the blood pressure only added to it," Lexie says.

"He has a small brain tumor, That have caused all of this and the aphasia, which is what Dr.Pierce saw, His inability to speak," Derek says.

"or a disease that causes progressive, permanent damage," Lexie says as the scans are passed around.

"We can stop remove the tumor to see if it helps," Derek says

"Prep an O.R," Catherine stated.

...

As Lexie and Derek preformed, Surgery, everyone else was trying to figure out everything else, If this bleed didn't solve the issues they had to keep working.

Everyone was drained and Catherine encouraged some to bring their kids into the conference room.

So they did.

"Daddy?" Harriet asked her father as she touched his stubble.

"Yes, Hun?" Jackson asked as he kept his eyes glued to the paper work.

Catherine was taking care of the two twins, Micah and Michelle.

April had their latest addition to their family,Gabriel in her arms.

"I miss, Grandpa Richie," Harriet said with a slight pout.

"Me too, Honey...But he's a little icky," Jackson explained, excluding the details.

"M'kay, can Gabe, Michie, Micah and I make some cards for him later," Harriet asked.

"Of course," Jackson replied as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

She let out a slight squeal.

After a good eight hours, Derek and Lexie walked in.

"He pulled through surgery, we will have to wait 72 hours...He will need some speech therapy," Derek said.

Sighs of relief came from the room.

Everyone decided to stay at the hospital, The surgeons checked up on their patients and boosted themselves with coffee.

Most couples were either on rounds or slept in On-call rooms. But no-one went home.

April and Jackson were at the daycare, spending time with their children. Derek and Meredith decided to go home for a quick run and stay home for a few hours. Lexie and Mark went home to review the case a little bit.

April was right behind Micah helping him build his little blocks with his chubby fingers.

Next to her was Harriet, asking her questions.

"Hm, We can some ice cream later," April answered.

Jackson was sitting cross legged, next to her with Michelle playing with doll and Gabriel asleep, leaning against his chest.

"He's out like a light," Jackson chuckled. Gabriel just turned 8 months old.

"He was eating a lot today ," April said as a smile appeared on her lips.

They spend as much time as they want to with the kids, of course it is limited due to work, but they do their very best, some days they take a few days off just for the kids.

April ran her fingers through her son's light brown curls as he babbled some random gibberish to her.

They finally got to go home after a few minutes but unfortunately that wouldn't last long.

Jackson unlocked the door to the house.

All the kids fell asleep in the car.

They placed the kids in bed and kissed them Goodnight before taking showers of their own, the two fell asleep.

"Love you," Jackson muttered sleepily as he wrapped his arms around his wife.

"Love you too," April replied.

...

"Lex," Mark started.

"Hm?" Lexie hummed as she had her eyes fixed on the CT Scan.

"You need to take a break," Mark said as he got into bed, next to her.

"I know but I have to review this," Lexie said as she wore her glasses.

"You need sleep and our child needs some rest so please, let's sleep," Mark insisted.

"I really hope he pulls through the night," Lexie said as she put the scan down.

"You did everything right, Don't stress out, You did the procedure correctly,"

"I know but anything can happen overnight," Lexie said before she pulled the comforter over her.

She felt her baby kick her again as a smile appeared on her lips.

"Can't wait for her to be born," Mark smiles.

"Mhm," Lexie hummed.

"I have to pee!" Lexie squeaked as Mark let out a laugh.

She immediately got out of bed to go use the bathroom.

...

Jo laid on the couch. It was too painful to lay in bed. Alex left.

Alex Karev is gone. She no longer takes his last name. She remembers when he said that they were forever. He lied to her and crushed her heart in a million pieces.

So she cried.

She cried until she couldn't cry anymore.

Afterwards, She drank some wine and read the letter he sent her over and over again, hoping he would show up at her doorstep.

...

"Wake up," April nudged her husband.

"Mhm," Jackson grunts as he wraps his arms tighter around her so she had no escape.

She wasn't even going to bother trying to get out of his arms.

"We've been in here for an extra hour," April says.

"Do you think he'll wake up?" Jackson asked.

April's eye softened.

"I hope so," She replied.

"He makes mom happy, sure there's been a strain lately, they argued at their anniversary party, but he'll make it...I hope...He's the closest thing I've had to a...dad...He has to make it," Jackson said.

April felt horrible. Jackson never grew up with a dad. He finally has a father figure and it may not last long.

"I talked to Mom, she said the same thing...I found her crying...She's not okay...First, She lost Robert.." Jackson started.

"Then, Grandpa...Now we might lose Richard," Jackson said.

"She's gonna break," Jackson finished.

...

Everyone met back at the hospital, the next morning and got to work.

"So, we have all the scans and although we removed the tumor, We started him on antibiotics, just in case this is an infectious case, Although, it most likely isn't, we have 60 more hours to wait for him to wake up, We have our top nurses watching his vitals," Derek says.

"We have eliminated the possibility of any type of cancer," Lexie says as Derek passes around the labs.

"That's a start, General?" Bailey asks.

"We've been working with Trauma because they started with the case, He had a stroke and as Dr.Pierce stated, He had lost his memory, he couldn't speak and wasn't aware of his surroundings, Trauma stated the same thing and He mentioned the name Adele," Meredith says.

"Sixty-five-year-old male suffering from memory lapses and erratic behavior," Bailey states.

"This is not the Richard you all know and love," Bailey warns.

"Is it due to the tumor?" Catherine asked.

"Unfortunately, Dr. Fox, If he does not gain his memory after waking up, It May be Alzheimer's," Derek explains.

"He may have Lewy Body's, It May be the tumor that has been doing all of this, It would explain the tremors and the hallucinations," Lexie suggests.

...

"Any scans?" Bailey asks. It's been nearly ten hours since the last meeting.

"Neuro and Plastics, don't believe he has any tumors as none are detected," Mark says.

"Oh," Lexie said.

Everyone looked at her.

"What's wrong, Grey?" Bailey asked.

"My water broke," Lexie said calmly.
