A police officer is driving a police car down the road in the daytime. He adjusts the rearview mirror in his car to look at the passenger, Lee, a rather scottish man who is handcuffed in the backseat..

The policeman sighs, opening his mouth to say something..
"Well, I reckon you didn't do it, then."

Lee looks up at the view mirror and back at the Police Man from the backseat.
"How come dae ye say that lad'?"

"Y'know, I've driven a buncha fellas down to this prison. Lord knows how many. Usually it's 'bout now I get the "I didn't do it.." Not some scottish ones.. That's usually a rare one to get around here. You from here?"

"No."

"That explains something, i guess." The Police Officer says as he looks back at the radio near the steering wheel, flicking a switch as Radio Chatter could be heard.

"n' what do ye say? "
Lee asked the Police Officer as he looked at the Rearview mirror, occasionally seeing a few Police Cars heading into the city.

" I say, "Yep, you didn't do it." "
The Police Officer replied to the scottish convicted man in the backseat.

The Radio starts to let out some chatter, "We've got what looks like a 10-91E near Peachtree Exit of 285. All cars asked to keep on the lookout for a 91V in the area."
Lee would look back into the Rearview mirror as he saw a few Police Cars followed by an Ambulance.

"You know, i followed your case a bit.. You being a scottish macon boy and all'."
The police officer said as he looked back at Lee while driving.

"So ye'r fae macon then." Lee said.

"Yep. Came up to Atlanta to be a city cop in the seventies. Always wanted to work a murder case, like that senatorial mess you got yourself mixed up in, with all due respect. A real shame, that is." The Officer replied.

- a long conversation later.. -

" Thir's somebody in th' road, stoap th' fucking motor! "
Lee yelled out as the Police Officer turned his head to tell another story, completely oblivious to the Walker crossing the street slowly..

The Car then began to spiral out of control, eventually crashing into a deep part into the forest..

"Ugh... Oww...shit.

"Druthy... Ahh! bugger, mah shank ."

Lee looks at the large, bloody cut on his upper leg. He looks out the back window and sees the officer lying facedown on the ground with blood smeared behind him.

Lee then turns to the side window and grunts as he continually kicks it until it falls out of the car as he then proceeds to crawl out and slowly stand up.

Lee approaches the officer and takes the keys. He tries to unlock his handcuffs but drops the keys..
" Bloody Hell! "
Lee leans down to pick up the keys that have fallen next to the officer's face. He unlocks his handcuffs and rubs his wrists.. But then.. The officer starts groaning faintly.. What the hell?

" Uh, boaby?.. "
Lee falls backward as the officer growls and tries to grab him!

"Ahh! Bloody o' mercy!"
Lee would begin to scoot back away from the Officer as he bumped into the car door of the Police Car, looking down at the shotgun and the shotgun shell on the ground.

"What in the bloody hell?!"
"Whit th' bugger urr ye!?"

Lee picked up the shotgun and loaded it with the shell, dropping the shell as he hurried to pick it up and load the gun.

BAM!

The Police Officer was dead, his head blown off!

Lee took a few breaths as he threw the shotgun down to the ground.
" Awright, are ye deid?! "
He's in disbelief- he sees a little girl in the distance as he calls out.
"Hulp! gal' git someone! there-there's bin a shooting!"
The little girl runs away. Groaning, slow-moving zombies emerge from the forest. Lee tries to run, but trips over the officer's body and falls.
"Pumpin' body god bugger!"
He gets up and limps away as he is chased. He climbs over a fence to escape, crawling backwards as the zombies pound on the fence. Shots are fired in the distance, and the zombies leave to chase the sound..

Lee gets up and looks around, noticing he is in the backyard of a house in a small neighborhood.. It seems so.
"Awright? a' body?"
"This wid' normally get' a jimmy liftit'... Again. "
After a while of exploring what was the backyard of this home.. Lee knocks on the sliding glass door and looking in through the glass as he saw nobody.
"Awright? Any lassies' home? am needin' a bawherr help."
"Comin' in. Dinnae shoot, okay?"
Lee opens the sliding glass door as he steps into the house.. man.

Lee would enter the house as-well as closing the Glass Door behind him-
He'd suddenly hold his leg in pain as he looked around the room.

"ahh, jobby. Awright? ah'ament an intruder...or yin o' thaim!"

Lee then notices that the furniture in the living room is knocked over and there are bloodstains on the floor and wall of the kitchen.. Jobby.
"Thae fowk might' need mair help than ah' do."

Lee spots a bowl of fruit, finally some-
It is fucking fake.
"Tis' be fake!"
"..Damn."
Lee looks over to the kitchen as he proceeds to enter into the kitchen as he would slip on the pile of blood!
Lee would painfully get up as he looked around the kitchen.. Opening various cabinets and drawers.
"This steid haes bin ransacked. Juist aboot anythin' worthwhile is gaen!"

Lee opens the drawer near the fridge and takes the radio. The answering machine beeps until Lee turns it on..

Three Messages Later…

The answering machine would shut off as lee just makes a shrugging motion..
Lee picks up and looks at a picture near the phone, which shows Clementine and her parents. Then his walkie-talkie activates..?
"Daddy?"

Lee would reply with just a "Huh?" as he takes out his walkie talkie and walking over to the glass door and looking outside.

"Who are ye' lassie?"
Lee speaks into the Walkie Talkie..

.. Clementine didn't quite get that-
" My name is Clementine, this is my house."

"Guid day, clementine. A'm lee."
Lee says as he walks over to the living room looking out a few of the windows..

"You're not my daddy…"
The Girl on the Walkie Talkie says in a somewhat dissapointed tone.

"Yer damn right ye wee little gal'."
Lee enters the kitchen, avoiding the puddle of blood and then stands over by the window.. Looking out to see if clementine is outside or something.

"Whaur are' ye?"
Lee asks the girl on the other side of the Walkie Talkie..

"I'm outside in my treehouse. They can't get in."
"See?"
Clementine would open the door of the treehouse, and then waving at lee through the window- But then suddenly screaming as she jumped back into the treehouse.

Lee turns around and sees a zombified Sandra behind him. She growls and tries to attack him, but he pushes her to the ground. As he tries to run away, he slips on the puddle of blood and hits his head on the counter. His vision is blurry, but he can vaguely see Sandra crawling toward him and he kicks her aw-

10 - 20 minutes later..?

Lee would be getting his leg patched up by Hershal Greene as Lee and Clementine had just gotten away from the walkers in the neighborhood, and out into some farm with the help of shawn.
"Nice to meet you, Lee. I'm Hershel Greene."

Hershal would begin bandaging the wound on the leg as he noticed Lee wincing in PAIN.

"So then, how did this happen?" The man asked lee as he was patching the leg up.

"Ah was getting oot o' atlanta, lad."
Lee winced in pain a bit more as it was still being bandaged.

[ cant understand a thing this guy is saying.. Hmgh. ] Hershal thought as he raised a brow.
" Are you.. From here?"

"...no." Lee answered back while looking down at his leg which was still being patched up and then back at Hershal.

"That explains something then."
Hershal says as he'd almost be finished bandaging up the leg.

"..So, how did this happen?"
Hershal said as he looked down at Lee's injured leg and then back at the scottish man with an Eyebrow still raised.

"I wis' getting out o' atlanta."
"Well.. the news says to stay."
Hershal said as he'd still be bandaging up the wound and stuff.

"Aye, weel, that's a bloody mistake'."
Lee replied as he waited for hershal to be done with the bandaging, he didn't sign up for this apocalypse shit.

"So.. who were you with? The girl?"
Hershal asked as he's still at it- bandaging the poor man's leg.

Lee would look over at Clementine, who was just kinda standing there waiting.
He then looked back at his leg and then at Hershal, opening his mouth to say something. "i' was wi' a polis' officer. He wis giein' me a hurl."

Hershal had a skeptical look but just kept bandaging the leg to make sure it was fully patched up.
"Awful nice of him."

"I' an awfy nice' lad."
Lee says in response as he noticed the man was done bandaging his leg up, now looking over to Clementine.

Hershal would be done as he stood up as he began to speak..
"House is full up with mine. We've got another displaced family of three sleeping in the barn. You and your daughter are welcome to rest there, when we're done here."
Hershal would then turn over to Clementine as he took a look at the girl, wondering why on earth she was being cared for by a random Scottish Guy.
"I didn't catch your name, darlin'."

"It's clem- Clementine."
Clementine would say as she looked up at the old man with a straight face.
"Can't imagine what you've been through, Clementine.."

"I'll keekin' after her 'til we find' her parents. Lee would say as he was about to get up-
Shawn would come onto the porch and walk behind Hershal as he was gonna suggest a thing that could help out the barn.
"Hey Dad, so i'm thinking.. first thing tomorrow, we gotta reinforce the fence around the farm."

"That doesn't seem really necessary, shawn."
Hershal said as he looked over at shawn with a stern face kinda.
"I don't know what you saw on TV, or heard on the radio, but there's some serious…"
Shawn then looks over at Clementine while talking.
"SHIT hitting the fan. I don't think anyone knows how big it is yet."

"Yer son's right. Ye'r gonnae wanna fortify this steid."
Lee suggested as he was agreeing with shawn to reinforce the fences.

"Stuff like that doesn't even happen around here, Shawn."
Hershal said as he was confident they were fine without Reinforced Fences, they should be fine without those kinds of fences.
"Dad, I'm serious. Lee, come on, tell him what you saw out there, man!"
Shawn said as he looked over to Lee for backup to convince his Father to reinforce the fences first thing in the morning.

"Aye, Teenage lassie wi' her guts spilled oon' on the floor stood up fae the dead n' tried tae bite me."
Lee explained as best as he could of what he witnessed during this whole Zombie Apocalypse thing.

"Well, do what you think you should. We've got plenty of chores as it is."
Hershal says as he looks at Shawn with an eyebrow raised before looking back at Lee's leg to make sure it was actually patched up correctly.

"Lee and those folks in the barn can help out in the morning. We gotta do it, really."
Shawn says as he looks over at Lee and back at Hershal.

"I already said okay."
Hershal says as Shawn would walk inside the house while closing the door behind him.
"Well, i'm done here. It should feel better by tomorrow at most."
Hershal says as he stands up.

"Thanks Lad'."
Lee thanks Hershal as he too stands up off his seat, his leg still kind of hurt but not as much.
But it should feel better by tomorrow, hopefully.

"If your leg gets hot or the swelling doesn't go down, you're probably dealing with an infection.." Hershal says.

"What dae we dae then?"
Lee asks curiously as he wanted to know what to do if he had an infection, which he's sure he doesn't.
But just incase, just incase.

"Well.. We'll probably just have to shoot you."
Hershal says jokingly as he expected a shocked reaction from the guy.

Lee looks surprised at the fact they'd have to literally shoot him, but he doesn't know it was a joke.

Hershal chuckled as he then says, " Don't worry, We'll clean it, re-dress it and you'll be fine."

"Okay, that'd be preferable."

"There's blankets and such in the barn. We'll be seeing you bright and early. Come tomorrow, which way you think you're headed?"
Hershal asks as he looks at the scottish man.

" towards macon, ah suppose."
Lee answers the question as he looks back at the older fellow.

Hershel nods as He'd then turn over to Clementine and smiles at her before going inside the house and closing the door behind him.

"Alright then."

Lee and Clementine would head into the barn as they lie'd down on makeshift beds in the hay-covered barn.. The other' family of three is already asleep on the upper floor of the barn.

"It smells like.."

"Shit."

Clementine would gasp as she looked over at Lee who was also laying in another makeshift bed across her with a glare.

"A'm sorry; shouldn't blether lik' that lassie'."
Lee said as he realized he just said a swear infront of a child.

"That was a swear."
Clementine said as she looks over a-bit with a somewhat saddened expression on her face now along with a single sigh.
"I miss my mom and dad."

"I bet, lass."
Lee says as he turns over to look at her to see if she's okay.

"How far is Savannah?"

"Pretty Far.."

"Oh, okay."

The two would then fall asleep on their makeshift beds after that.
To be continued, probably.
