It was great to know Tigran was going to help us. But I also knew we needed a Froster to help Diane with her training. So I went to the only Froster only I knew. Juline. When I show up at their house. I go up to the door and knock. Juline answers. "I'll be there in a second please come in." I think I here her curse under her breath. I walk in. Juline is wrestling with the triplets trying to get them to calm down. "I want you all on your best behavior. Okay." "Yes mother." the three 13 year old triplets say. Juline turns around satisfied. When she sees me she runs up and hugs me. This I was not expecting. "Where have you been?" She asks me surprised. "You know wreaking havoc in the Forbidden Cities." Juline pauses for a second to look at me. "I guess you did wreak enough here. Come with me let's have some mallowmelt." Me being the person I am went with her willingly. We sit down and she pushes out a plate of mallowmelt. "So how have you been Sophie I haven't seen you in months. What's been going on." I pause rethinking my choice of coming here. Juline was pretty busy with the triplets. Should I really ask her. Too late I'm already here. Thank you slow common senses. "I've been in the Forbidden Cities for the last couple months. And I found a elf living among them. Completely oblivious of her being an elf. Much like me. She only knew she was different." I pause waiting to see Juline's reaction. She looked fairly interested so I continued. "After I saw her using her talent. I decided to have her come into the Lost Cities. When we separated her from the Forbidden Cities. I was faced with a problem. The Council can't know of me returning and Diane being being here. So I couldn't put her in a public school. And I wasn't going to get some random tutor for her. So I got Tigran to tutor her. Know all we need is a mentor for her ability. So I came here to ask-." She cuts me off. "To know if we can get a mentor for her. It depends. What is her ability." She lets me continue. "Froster." I squeak out. "Oh." She gets very quiet. "So I came here to ask if you could mentor her." She starts to zone out like in deep thought. "Why me." She whispers. "You are the only Froster I can trust. I can understand though if you say no. With the triplets and everything—." She cuts me off again. "It's not that I'd love to do it. But first can I see her."
Diane POV:
Me and Tigran started talking after Lizzie left. He explained to me how elven culture worked. It was so confusing. I could see what Lizzie meant about forgetting everything I knew. Like when light leaping your jumping on beam of light. So your pretty much traveling at the speed of light. He also talked about how nexus's worked. They kept my body together during a light leap. It was so much that I didn't realize Lizzie came back, said something to Tigran, and leaped back to where ever she came from. When we appeared at a icy manshine that I fainted.
When I woke up again I was in a very comfortable bed. When I fully woke up Lizzie was in a corner talking to a very beautiful woman. "When do you think she'll wake up." "Soon she must of fainted from all the information Tigran told her. I don't blame her." At this point I was trying to get up. Lizzie noticed me and came over. I got all the way up. "Good morning Diane you've been asleep for quite awhile. We'll let you get ready before we load you with anything more." They left. Me wanting to know more got up. Maybe a bit too quickly. There was some small water bottles on the nightstand. They tasted kind of sweetish. I drank all three of them from lack of thirst and how good they tasted. When I was done I looked around and found some clothes in the closet. They were like the ones Lizzie's friends where wearing. Really fancy. I tried them on. They were a perfect fit somehow. I didn't really want to know how they knew my size. But I had a feeling it was more than a guess. I pushed the thoughts of them measuring me in my sleep away and tried to find a bathroom. When I went in it was crowded with beauty products. I was able to brush my teeth and hair and get out alive, but it was close. I left the room and tried to find Lizzie and the women. They were sitting on the couch talking about something with the Council I'd heard Lizzie talking about. But it was too complicated to follow so I gave up and waited for one of them to notice me. About 5 minutes later Lizzie noticed me and waved me to come over. "Good Morning Diane how did you sleep." Lizzie asked me. "Great!" I said sarcastically. "How long was I out for." Lizzie answered. "About 5 hours. You must of been tired." "I was. So are you going to explain what the hell happened when I woke up." Lizzie sighed. "This Diane is Ms. Juline Dizznee and she is your Froster mentor." "I thought Tigran was my mentor." "No Tigran is your tutor. Juline here is going to teach you how to make ice and shit." "What ability does Tigran have?" Lizzie sighs. "This is off topic but he is a Telepath. Are you ready to get learned Diane." I stop to think about this. "Why not." "Good enough" Lizzie sighs again as she takes my hand. "Where are we going?" I ask. "To your first lesson with Tigran." She says as we walk out the door and says goodbye to Juline. "What am I doing?" "I don't know yet let's see." I was going to ask another question but we leaped away. We reappeared a Everglen and Lizzie knocked on the door. "Why do they have this huge door gate?" "Privacy Lizzie answers quickly. I pause and think up another question. "Where are you from anyway?" She inhales quickly. And breathes heavily. "Sorry I didn't know it was a soft topic." I whisper. "It's not." She says turning towards me. "But you'll see where I came from in your lessons with Tigran. Let's say I played a very big part in this world." At that the gates opened and Alden and Tigran walk out greeting Lizzie. I walk up awkwardly not knowing what to do. They break their hug and turn towards me. Tigran speaks first. "I guess it's time for you and me to start our lesson." "I guess so." I mumble. And walk towards Tigran. "We'll be near the lake I'll leap her to Juline in a few hours." Nobody says anything as we walk towards lake a couple 100 feet or so from here. I guess I'm going to interrogate Lizzie later.
My lesson with Tigran was easy. We talked about, well he mostly talked about elven history. It was interesting to see how humans and elves interrupted history differently. He mostly skimmed through history. Making sure I knew it enough. Eventually we got to more modern history. We ended my few hours with him on the NeverSwan War. It had only ended the year before after the death of their leader in a light leap. Pathetic. But the interesting thing about it was about a girl named Sophie Foster who had disappeared after the war. I thought about this. I knew Lizzie had been living with elves for a couple years but didn't know how many. Maybe she was in the NeverSwan War. Maybe she knew Sophie Foster I knew it was wishful thinking but I would have to ask her later. I return my attention back to the lesson. Tigran was talking about how the two sides. The Black Swan and the Neverseen were two rebellions against the Council. They believed in the same causes but the Neverseen took more 'violent' tactics. Eventually the three main leaders. One of them went straight after a incident in Atlantis. Another elf. Was turned into the Council. And the third was the one who died in the leap. I ask him. "What were you in the War." He blinks. "I was a very strong supporter of the Black Swan." He pauses again. "Now Where was I, oh yes the Gnomish Plague. This plague was directed for plants. And sense gnomes being half plant, got infected. Many died from this epidemic. It started back when…" Tigran looks at his watch. Oh you're almost late we have to bring you to Juline." He holds up his pathfinder. "Come on you can't be late." He grabs my hand as we travel at the speed of light to our destination
