Dimitri

"Can you believe that?" Tasha was saying the next morning as she was filled in on what happened last night with the dinner. Only Lissa, Andre, myself and Viktoria went with our parents. Viktoria was talking about how Rose got drunk before she was legal, almost admiring it. "She's such a drunk, isn't she Dimitri?" I ignored her. Mama scolded us on the way home, saying we only judge people based on what we see, that Rose isn't a bad person because she drank alcohol. A car pulled up and Rose got out.

"Oh, here she is. The drunk of the centry." She looked pale and shaken. She took a look at me, moved her hair so it was covering her face as she walked towards the school doors alone. Lissa sighed. I grabbed my bag, ignored Tasha as she spoke again about how much of a disappointment Rose was and I followed Rose into the school.

I spotted her at her locker, changing books out slowly. I went to my locker down the hall, changed my books and went up to her, leaning on the locker beside hers.

"Hey." She jumped, looked up and closed her locker.

"Hey." She replied, pulling her bag onto her shoulder. "I'm sorry about last night – I don't do very well in crowds." I gave her a wary smile.

"Did your boyfriend get his jumper?" I asked as we walked towards her class. She looked up at me with creased eyebrows.

"Who? Adrian? Mason?" She asked, shaking her head. "None of us are together. Like, I'm not in a relationship with either of them." She babbled. "We're just really close friends." I gave her a smile as we made it to her first class. We shared some classes, but she was taking more advanced classes than any of us.

"See you at lunch?" She gave me a smile and nodded. I walked away, went in the opposite direction towards my class, meeting the others.

"Is she okay?" Lissa asked. "I know you went in after her." I nodded.

"Yeah, I think she's a little embarrassed. Neither of the two guys are her boyfriend." I replied and looked at Andre. He waggled his eyebrows.

"So, I got a chance!" I rolled my eyes, an unfamiliar pang in my chest. What was that? "Come on, if we're late, we'll get skinned." Lunch couldn't come around fast enough. Tasha came in giggling, Lissa with a scrawl on her face, dumping down her bag forcefully on the table.

"What's wrong?" Christian asked worried. She rubbed Lissa's shoulders but she shrugged him off.

"Her. She's going around telling everyone Rose had to leave her old school because she was caught hooking up with two guys at once while being drunk." Christian gave Tasha a disappointed look.

"Tasha!" She laughed, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

"Where is she?" Mia asked. Lissa and Tasha both shrugged.

"She left, I lost her." Lissa replied. "Should I call daddy? Maybe he can call Abe and-"

"She's fine, she'll show up." Andre shrugged off. That didn't seem to be true the longer the lunch went on and Rose didn't show up. She didn't show up to any of our afternoon classes that we shared, no one seen her and when the final bell rang, we went out into the parking lot and there was still no sign of her.

"I think we better call Abe-" Rose walked out of the school doors, looking paler than she had this morning, dark circles under her eyes. Her hands were shaking as she clenched books in her chest, keeping her eyes level with the path until the sound of a car made her walk forward. Mikhail opened the door for her.

"Is she okay?" He asked us after he closed the door. I shrugged my shoulders as an answer. He drove off.

"She didn't look healthy, did she?"

"I think she's bulimic." Tasha sang as she walked up to us, she was met with dirty looks. "Heard her throwing up in the bathroom after lunch." We looked after the car as it drove away.

"Maybe we should tell Abe." Lissa nodded and that's what we did. We followed Mikhail back to Abe's.

The drive was silent as we split ourselves in our cars. Tasha wanted to come along to see what would happen when Rose's secret was exposed, everyone else seemed worried. We were met at the gates by another car that was let in, not Mikhail's. We were waved in, parked and got out at the same time.

"Hey, I'm Mason." Said the red-haired boy from last night. "This is Adrian." He pointed to the other. He slammed the door closed.

"You go to that school? The one with Rose, right?" I nodded and we walked up towards the front door, knocking and waiting for it to open. Mikhail opened the door, Lissa walked towards Abe's office, walking right past Mikhail.

"He's busy Lissa." She scrunched her nose, waved her hand and continued. We all followed. Mason and Adrian, wanting to get involved in the drama, followed. Lissa opened the doors, Abe was sitting in his chair, Eric was leaning back as they talked, both men looked up as Lissa slammed the doors open.

"Lissa?" Eric shot up worried.

"Somethings wrong with Rose." Lissa said, Abe looked at her, raising from his chair.

"She just got home from school-"

"Yeah, we followed her."

"Rose is bulimic. She was throwing up her lunch in the bathroom today." Tasha said, looking at her nails.

"Oh, shit!" Adrian blurted. As we turned to look at him, he and Mason had gone pale. "Where's her room?" Neither of them waited for an answer. They both bolted and ran up the stairs. Abe followed motioning for Mikhail to follow. Eric got up and we all followed.

There was knocking on the doors as we walked up until they eventually made it to one, where a sound came out. Adrian and Mason both looked at each other, opened the door and walked in. I pushed my way so I was behind Eric and Abe.

On the bed, there was lump under the blankets. The black-out curtains were pulled, the room dark. The lump under the blankets moved as Mason and Adrian sat on the bed on either side.

"It'll pass." Said a small weak voice. Adrian squeezed the blanket and felt Rose's forehead as she peaked her head of the covers, "I'm fine."

"Was there blood?" Mason asked as he walked into the bathroom for a few seconds before coming back into the room, shaking his head. "You're supposed to call us if that happens."

"Sorry." Rose's eye lids started to drop. Mason patted her forehead.

"What caused it?" She pointed towards her phone. "Alright, you rest now okay?" She nodded. "Looks like were staying here tonight." Adrian said, giving Rose a kiss on the forehead, grabbing her phone and pushing us out of the way closing the door after Mason came out.

"What is going on?" Abe yelled. Mason sh'ed him, moving his hands up and down trying to tell him to be quiet.

"You'll make it worse." Mason cocked his head and led us a few feet from the door. "Rose gets really bad anxiety because of what we told you last night." Mason motioned to Abe. "If she can't control it and it's bad, her body can't handle it and she gets sick. The last time that happened she was in hospital for two weeks – as long as she's not vomiting blood, it's more manageable." Mason went on. "She gets migraines after, the best thing for her to do is just sleep it off." Abe pulled a hand threw his hair. Tasha snorted.

"She's a mess." Adrian glared at her, poked Mason's arm and tilted the phone in his direction.

"Guess who's coming to town?"
