When Lily woke up, she was in the Hospital Wing with the Marauders, Alice, Mary, and Marlene sitting around her bed. She felt absolutely horrible. Her throat was dry, she had a splitting headache, and when she looked at her hands, she was incredibly thin. None of them seemed to notice Lily was awake. The Marauders were messing with the same piece of parchment they'd been toying around with in DADA and her friends were whispering quietly to each other. Finally, James realized she was awake.
"How are you feeling Lily?"
When her friends heard him, they nearly jumped on her.
"How are you?"
"What happened?"
"Are you okay Lily?"
"Whoa, one at a time", said Lily, overwhelmed by all of the questions."First, what happened to me?"
"Snape, he hit you with a prank spell that gives you a headache and makes you lose a lot of weight very quickly."
"Who came up with that spell?"
"Us", said James sheepishly
Lily rolled her eyes and groaned, if the Marauders hadn't made up any of their prank spells, she wouldn't have been to the hospital wing for the past two years. But of course they had to invent new spells, and everyone kept using them on each other and she ended up in the hospital wing from the particularly dangerous ones. Everyone but James left for Charms a few minutes later, but James decided to skip off class using his badge.
"You okay Lils?"
"Yeah"
He scooted his chair closer to her, "The others and I wanted to tell you something. The truth about us."
Lily was confused, "Okay?"
James took a piece of parchment out of his pocket, "I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good"
He showed her the parchment and she gasped in amazement. It showed every nook and cranny of Hogwarts grounds and Hogsmeade and it seemed, everyone there.
"How did you guys make this?"
"A few tweaks to the Homunculus and Homenum Revelio spells"
"So this is how you four don't get in trouble all that much even though you pull all of those pranks"
"Yup"
"I have another question, but it's okay if you don't tell me why. Why do you four call each other Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs?"
"I'll tell you anything", he said, leaning over and kissing her for the first time
Lily blushed furiously, her face was now rivaling her hair.
Just then, the other Marauders walked in.
"Flitwick gave us the rest of class off", explained Sirius
"Cool, I was just explaining to Lily why we're Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs"
The Marauders looked around and saw they were the only ones in the wing besides Madame Pomfrey.
"Stupefy", muttered James, and Madame Pomfrey fell to the ground
The Marauders turned into their Animagi forms, including Remus, who had become one the year after the others. When they changed back to human form, she began bombarding them with questions.
"When did you learn?"
"How do you do it?"
"Why did you do it?"
"Who helped you?"
"The answer to your first question is, they learned in 5th year, I learned in 6th", said Remus
"Second question is very complicated, brew a few potions, have a Mandrake leaf in your mouth for a month nonstop.", said Peter
"The third answer is so we could go with Moony when he turned into a werewolf", said Sirius
"An the last one is, we didn't get help. We did it on our own over a span of two and a half years", said James
Lily pointed at them each in turn."Moony because you're a werewolf.", she pointed to Remus. "Wormtail because you're a rat", she said to Peter. "Padfoot because you're a dog", she nodded to Sirius. "And Prongs because you're a stag"
"Yup", they all replied
"Y'all are unregistered aren't you?"
"Why would we register ourselves?", asked James in mock horror, "It's so much easier to sneak off grounds as an animal"
Sirius removed the spell from Lily and she went back to feeling normal
Remus pointed his wand at Madame Pomfrey, "Ennervate", and she got off of the ground, confused
"Evans, you can go now", she said, seeing that she had been healed
By now, Lily could see that it was dark, so she went to bed thinking about the Marauders' secrets
