Hello. I'm Back. *cheers of invisible crowd*
Yay.
Anyways, this will dip into other fanfiction media like GMW.
WARNING: Mentions Child Abuse!
Just sayin...
Continue.
First of all: Some parents are just portrayed incorrectly.
For example, Katy Hart from GMW. She never struck me as the "abusive" type that would get drunk and hit her daughter.
So what, she has to work overtime at a diner and barley gets to see her daughter, but, she would never abuse Maya.
Seriously, see Girl Meets Master Plan. She obviously cares for Maya. Do your research folks.
BACK TO PJO!
ANYWAYS...
Other Frequently Incorrectly Portrayed Parents:
-Athena:
She wouldn't hurt Annabeth (too) emotionally or physically. ANNABETH IS HER FAVORITE!
-Poseidon:
He wouldn't force Percy into marriage. DUH.
-Zeus:
He doesn't strike me as the abusive type...
(BTW: so far Spelling Check has grilled me for two of those names above. Guess... -_-)
-Annabeth's Step-Mother (SEE THE TITANS CURSE PEOPLE!):
She was nice enough in book three. Seriously. That whole "spawn of Satan" thing was all Annabeth's opinion and in reality she wasn't too bad; even saying to Percy to tell Annabeth that she still has a home with them and that Annabeth can come and stay with them again, if she wished.
-Hades:
He'd just be that dad that you never see because he's always in his room. (BTW: I never see Persephone as the Step-Mom anymore, although that is the actual case...)
Next: I hate the way Luke is sometimes portrayed as the "girlfriend abuser" that makes Annabeth run to Percy. Seriously. He's not that bad a dude. He killed himself to save Olympus AND accepted the fact that Annabeth didn't love him as anything other than a brother.
) le sigh
ANOTHER THING:
Just saying that two people DO NOT meet, talk, kiss, argue, make up, kiss, date, kiss, marry, kiss, kids. (then kiss.) Just no.
ALSO: Sally Jackson is awesome in every fanfic I read, just saying ;) #SallyForPresident #SallyIsLife #WeAllLoveSally
Finally, In reality it would not be PERCY that was out of Annabeth's league, but the other way around. How is Percy the only one who notices the "invisible" Annabeth and her beauty? ANSWER ME! She should be the popular(er) one! (DUH.) Thought I admit to liking invisible Annabeth stories. Te-he-he...
QUICK QUESTION: If I wrote an (obviously some-what clichéd) fanfic, would you all read it and love/like it? Or read it and call me a hypocrite? Or just read, be like eh, and read an actually good fanfic? Just askin.
BYE!
Percabeth and Blue Food,
Lizzie
