Don't own Harrison Wells (more's the pity) or the Flash - this is just a little bit of my brain
Harry Wells stepped through the breach and into the cortex of Earth 1's Starlabs. It was late and the labs were quiet. He walked through the corridors until he reached the control room and then stopped. Caitlyn Snow was at her desk fast asleep. A slight smile touched his lips as he reached across to save her work. There was no reaction from the dozing brunette.
"Snow?" He whispered gently as he shook her shoulder. "Time for you to go home." Again there was little response. He gave a small sigh and gently picked her up, cradling her in his arms. With her still asleep he traversed the lab's corridors and on reaching the makeshift quarters he carefully placed her on one of the beds. He removed her shoes and covered her with a blanket.
"Sleep well Snow." He muttered before returning to the lab and the work he had to do.
Caitlyn woke later and muzzily pushed the blanket free. The clock on the wall said 1:30am and she wondered how she had managed to get to one of the beds. Her shoes were neatly placed beneath the bed. She dragged them on and moved towards the lab. A tapping sound reached her ears as she walked through the door. Harry Wells sat at the computer he had unofficially adopted as his own. Lit by the monitor he did not seem to notice her and for a moment she stayed in the doorway watching. It was strange how he could seem so like the person they had known as Harrison Wells and not at the same time. Like the original Harrison he had an attractiveness to him that she found strangely captivating.
"Go home, Snow." He didn't take his eyes of the screen as he spoke. "It's very late."
"Yeah," She countered. "And yet you're here."
"Well," He turned to face her and a small smile twitched the corners of his mouth. "All my research here won't transfer over to Earth 2 so to work on it I have to come here." He waved at the screen. "And as I can't let anyone at the lab know about the breach I have to work late." He stood and walked towards her. "What's your excuse?"
"I had a couple of things to finish and…"
"No, you didn't" He removed his glasses and stared directly at her. "I saw the last calculations you'd entered. It wasn't necessary work or even recent data." Caitlyn shifted uncomfortably beneath his gaze. "So why are you here Snow?"
"I…"
"Take some advice." He took another step closer. "Deal with your power in the open and with help or…"
"I don't have any…"
He gave a snort, rolled his eyes and lifted his meta-human detecting watch towards her. "Please," A bleep echoed through the lab. "I've known for a while, what I don't understand why you haven't told the others."
"I'm trying to deal with it alone…"
"No, you're trying to suppress it." His fingers settled onto her shoulder. "If there's anything that will turn you into Killer Frost it's that."
"I don't…"
"Right now you're hiding and suppressing so much that eventually it'll explode." Caitlyn swallowed as his blue eyes bored into hers. "And, I know you don't want that."
"I can't tell the others… they…"
"They all care about you Caitlyn and they'll help."
"Like you asked for help…"
"That was my mistake." His voice was rougher with remembered pain. "I thought I couldn't trust you with Jessie, just as I thought that you couldn't trust me after your Wells betrayed you. I was wrong Caitlyn."
"But how do I?" the ice rose to her skin and he winced as his fingers cooled to painful degrees.
"You open up to the people that love you." Despite the pain in his hands he continued to maintain contact. "Make yourself open again. For make no mistake your powers are tied to your emotions and you will eventually resent your friends for not realising your pain, but by then it will be too late."
"Harry."
"I'll help."
"You?" Disbelief coloured her voice, but the frost in her subsided slightly.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because Snow, I care too."
