"WAAAAAAAAHH!"

Stryka groaned and covered her ears, desperate to block out the cries coming from the nursery of Zenna's baby brother. "Sorry, girl, but this is something we're gonna have to put up with until El's a big boy, which will take a few years," Zenna yawned as she got out of bed.

Stryka gave a disgruntled rumble as if she was saying, 'Had I known that the hatchling would do this at an ungodly hour, I would've wished that it had stayed in your mother's womb.'

"Oh, come on, Stryka. El's not doing this to annoy us. He probably just needs something," Zenna chided her one-eyed dragoness before leaving her room. Not surprisingly Zenna found her parents, Henna and Edgar, in El's nursery.

The youngest member of the Fiersome family was crying up a storm, his little face scrunched up and all red as he let out another piercing wail. Serpent and Serpentine, Edgar and Henna's Hideous Zippleback, was peering through the nursery's window and cooing at the baby boy to try calm him down.

"No diaper to change…He's not hungry…What on earth could be bothering him…?" Edgar muttered, worried about his son.

"He probably wants some attention, love," Henna said softly, rocking her son in her arms but failing to soothe him.

"Waaah! Waaaahh! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Elias II Stoick Fiersome wailed, hiccupping on his own tears.

Zenna quietly crept into the nursery, her parents noticing her moments later. "El's having another one of his night fits again?" Zenna asked softly.

"It's the third time this week…" Henna sighed as El let out another piercing cry.

"If this keeps up, your mother and I are officially going to be sleep-deprived," Edgar yawned.

"Technically, you two already are," Zenna pointed out, noticing their eye bags.

Most of the time, Henna and Edgar preferred to take care of El themselves because they didn't want to trouble Zenna that much, their daughter now an adult and well on her way to living her own life. But Zenna knew that her parents weren't as young as they used to be when she and Elias, her older brother, were little and would always insist on helping take care of El.

That's when Aurora flew into the room through the window, "Crying again?" Aurora asked gently, earning a nod from her parents.

"Hey, Mom, can you give him to me? I might have an idea on how to calm him down…" Aurora suggested politely. Without protest, Henna handed El to Aurora.

Little El's loud wails instantly ceased and turned into small whimpers the moment he was in his big sister's arms. Smiling gently, Aurora rocked her baby brother back and forth as she began to sing…

With a sleepy coo, El snuggled into his big sister and closed his eyes. Serpent and Serpentine warbled in amazement as the little tyke fell asleep just seconds after Aurora had finished her lullaby.

"Thor's beard, well, that was quick!" Edgar chuckled.

"Shhh…!" Henna shushed her husband and smiled lovingly at her daughter.

Then the door creaked open and Stryka poked her head into the nursery. The one-eyed Night Fury let out a confused gurgle. "The crisis has been averted, girl. See?" Zenna chirped as she showed Stryka her sleeping baby brother in her Queen's arms. Stryka let out a relieved sigh and ducked her head out of the room, intent on catching up on her beauty sleep.

"Goodnight, Ms. Grouchy," Zenna giggled and refocused her gaze on El. Her little brother looked so cute sleeping, so peaceful and content.

"Well now, I guess it's time we put him back to bed," Henna said softly and expectantly held out her arms. To Edgar's amusement, Aurora pouted and held El closer to her chest.

"Nooo…" Aurora whined, imitating a little girl who wouldn't give up her favorite doll.

"I think our little girl wants to be the big sister here and look after our little boy, love," Edgar chuckled. Aruroa nodded. "You and Dad deserve a break, Mom. I'll keep an eye on El till morning."

"Me too." Zenna added, but Aurora declined, "No, Zenna. You take a break too."

Zenna was surprised, "But-"

"I'll be fine.." Aurora reassured.

Sighing, Henna shrugged and conceded. "Alright, Aurora love. Just don't tire yourself out," she said gently before she and Edgar left for bed. Zenna wanted to go to bed too, but she was still concerned.

It was only a week after he was born and two months after Aurora had become Queen of all Dragons.

Being Queen took it toll on her. She had to keep watch over all of the dragons now on Berk and ensure no fights would break out, that the dragons behaved. Even though it doesn't sound like much, it was alot of work. Work that she preferred to do herself rather than burden her friends and family with it. She wouldn't even allow Viggo, Shear, Scar and Shadow to help her.

She would offer come home late at night and just plop on the ground cause of exhaustion, prompting Edgar to carry her to bed.

"I'll be alright Zenna.. promise.." Aurora reassured her big sister. Finally, Zenna sighed and nodded. "Okay Aurora, night..."

"Night.." Aurora said as she sat in the rocking chair with her sleeping baby brother in her arms.

The Next Morning...

Zenna, Edgar and Henna entered the nursery and found Aurora asleep in the chair with El cooing happily in her arms. When El noticed the three of them, he squealed happily and reached out to them. Edgar and Henna chuckled and Henna gently grabbed the tiny baby from Aurora's arms.

Zenna, on the other hand, sighed at Aurora's sleeping form. "Zenna.." Edgar called, knowing what his daughter was thinking.

Zenna sighed, "I wish she would just let us help her.."

"You know how Aurora is when it comes to her new duties as Queen.." Henna chimed in.

"I know, I know, but... sigh... I just don't want her to see exhausted like this.." Zenna added.

Edgar and Henna smiled at their daughter as their second one stirred, "Huh? Oh... yawn... when did you get in here?" Aurora asked groggily, rubbing her eyes.

"For a couple mintues." Edgar stated. "And it looks like you need some rest.."

"N-No, I'm good. I have to go and check on my subjects. I'll be fine..." Aurora said as she got up and started to walk out the door... only to run into the door. "Ow!" before she opened it and walked out. "I'm good..!" she called.

Zenna and her family sighed.

Later that morning, Aurora staggered into the Great Hall where Zenna, her parents, Stoick, Gobber, Hiccup and his friends were eating some chicken and stew. Aurora sat next to her sister and slumped down into my seat.

"Aurora, honey are you alright?" Henna asked Aurora with concern. Aurora did look like a wreck. Her hair was messy and sweaty from all the flying, her clothes were a bit ripped from having to break up some dragons fights and she looked like she was would from exhaustion at any minute. "I-I'm Alright." Aurora sighed.

"Being Queen still rough huh?" Hiccup guessed.

"Ugh, you have no idea." Aurora groaned, rubbing her eyes before she broke into song

Woke up this morning feeling tried and small

I must be twenty feet tall

I have to worry bout making mistakes

Aurora slammed her head onto the table with a groan. Edgar and Henna came over to her "Oh honey, I know this must be hard for you, but you'll be a great Queen." Henna reassured.

Aurora lifted her head and looked at them. "You really think so?"

"Of course. Your grandmother wouldn't have made you Queen if you weren't ready." Astrid added.

I sighed and gave a small nod. Hiccup came over to me along with Hiccup. "Don't worry lass, everything will be fine."

"I know.. it's just I have new responsibilities now and I'm worried that I won't be able to handle it." I said.

"But you will which is something we both have in common now." Hiccup said and he broke into song once again.

El let out a tiny squeal, reaching out to Aurora. Aurora chuckled and came over to her baby brother, "Hi there little El.. Hi.." she cooed, making El giggle happily.
