'They say the bond between a dragon and its rider very strong, but when that dragon is one that you raised from babyhood. That bond goes far beyond what vikings expected.'

Two weeks later...

It was raining heavily with lightning striking down from the sky and thunder booming through the air. Everyone was inside at this time. Aurora, Zenna was with Hiccup and Stoick in their hut along with the dragons. Zenna was looking out the window in worry. Edgar and Henna went sailing to gather some fish and they should have been back two hours ago.

"Mom.. Dad... where are you?" Zenna asked in worry.

Hiccup came to her and put a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry Zenna, they're fine. If I know your parents, which I do, nothing can get in their way." he reassured.

"I know.. but... I'm still worried." Zenna said and she wasn't the only one. Serpent and Serpentine, Edgar and Henna's maroon Hideous Zippleback, Serpent and Serpentine, were worried for their riders as well. The Fury Family, Shadow, Styrka and Toothless reassured them but the Zippleback still wasn't convinced.

Stoick came up to the Fiersome girl next, "Come on Zenna, let's get some sleep. I'm sure they'll be back by this morning." he said.

Zenna sighed but took the Chief's word for it, hoping he was right.

Unfortunately, the Chief couldn't be more wrong...

In the storm, Edgar and Henna fought to try and keep their boat under control with the rough rains, wind and thunder. "Ugh... Edgar..." Henna whimpered as she held onto the side of the boat

"Ugh... don't worry honey, we'll be fine.." Edgar stated, holding the rope to the sails. Thunder and lightning crashed from above and one struck the sail, ripping it and setting it a flame. "Woah!" Edgar leaped out of the way of the flaming sail that now set the deck aflame. "Edgar!" Henna helped her husband up to his feet.

"Odin's ghost, this is bad.. really bad.." Edgar grumbled.

"Um... Edgar..." Henna whimpered, pointing to the east and saw a large wave, heading towards them. "Oh gods... take cover, honey!" The two of them rushed below deck and Edgar slammed the hatch before he and his wife hugged each other tightly, bracing themselves as their ship was engulfed by the wave.

Thunder was still booming and the lightning was still crashing through the sky during the night.

Downstairs, Serpent and Serpentine, were the only ones not asleep. The two were still worried about Edgar and Henna. The two had raised them from when they were abandoned. The two heads looked at each other and nodded.

They had to find them.

They got up and quietly and slowly walked past The Fury Family, Shadow, Styrka and Toothless, knowing if they woke up, they would most likely try to stop them from going out into the storm. The two made it to the door and Serpent pushed the door opened with his head and they walked out and Serpentine closed the door with his head.

The two spread their wings and flew due West... the same direction Edgar and Henna sailed off in.

The rain and wind made it a bit hard for the two-headed dragon to fly through but they wouldn't stop until they found their riders. The two flew down near the water for any sign of the ship.

They flew for a couple yards before they found pieces of wood in the water. They warbled and looked at each other in worry. They continued flying and found more and more wood pieces. They looked ahead and gasped.

On of the pieces of wood was Edgar and Henna, both unconscious!

Serpent and Serpentine flew over to their riders and nudged them, trying to wake them up, but they were both out cold. Serpent grabbed Edgar and Serpentine grabbed Henna and they both started to fly off until they heard a rumbling sound behind them. They looked behind them and saw a large water spout! And it was heading straight towards them!

Serpent and Serpentine roared in horror and quickly flew away from the water spout. They saw an island in the distance and quickly flew towards it and took shelter inside of a cave. They both landed and gently placed them up against the cave wall.

The Zippleback knew the two would be famished when they wake up and to be honest, they were hungry too. So despite knowing they were on new and unknowingly dangerous grounds, the Zippleback has to go and find some food. The Zippleback looked left and right for any sign of danger to their riders... luckily there was none.

The Zippleback walked out of the cave and scanned the trees for some food. They found some apples in the trees and flew up and grabbed some in their mouths before they flew back to the cave and placed them on the ground. Then Serpent and Serpentine came over to their unconscious riders and slept right beside them for the night.

The Next Morning, Edgar and Henna, groggily woke up.

"Ugh... honey..?" Edgar groaned.

Henna groaned, "Ugh.. Edgar..?" The two of them had bad headaches and were feeling a bit woozy. Serpent and Serpentine woke up and cooed softly at their riders. "S-Serpent?" Edgar said.

"Serpentine?" Henna added. The maroon Zippleback nuzzled their riders gently and cooed at them. Edgar and Henna both tried to sit up, they felt very woozy. Serpent and Serpentine gently nudged their riders to lay down again.

"Ugh..." Edgar and Henna groaned.

Serpent and Serpentine licked the lacerations the two had on their faces and their arms, no doubt from the shipwreck. Their Zippleback nuzzled them and laid them against their stomach, using their wing to partially cover them. The couple had fell asleep again and their Zippleback curled around them, relieved knowing their riders were alive and soon-to-be well again.

Back on Berk, Aurora and Zenna were in a panic! "Where are they... they should have been here.." Aurora muttered to herself.

Stoick and Hiccup tried to sooth her worries but the Fiersome girl wouldn't calm down. "That does it! I'm going out there! Stryka!" "Shadow, we're heading out!"

Their loyal dragon companions came over and the sisters mounted them.

"Aurora, Zenna wait, I can't let you do this... without me. Toothless." Toothless came to his riders' side and he mounted Toothless and the two Night Fury riders and Dramillion rider took off.

Edgar and Henna both woke up once more, more awake this time.. and very sore. "Ugh... what the-What happened?" Edgar groaned, rubbing his head.

"I-I don't know, dear." Henna replied. "I-I just remember the ship... ugh.. and that large wave.." Every muscle in their bodies hurt really bad, "Ugh... man I'm sore." Edgar groaned, moving his right arm resulting in pain.

"Tell me about it dear." Henna said, trying to move her legs, it hurt too much.

Edgar and Henna looked around, "H-How'd we get here?" Edgar asked still feeling a bit woozy. Their semi-answer came when a certain maroon Zippleback entered the cave. "Serpent?" "Serpentine?" they both called.

The Zippleback turned to them and cooed happily, wagging their tail. Edgar and Henna gathered the strength they had and tried to stand but their legs were still a bit weak, luckily their Zippleback supported them with their heads.

"Ugh... thanks.." Edgar groaned. Serpent and Serpentine easily let their riders sit back down. Then they both grabbed an apple and placed it in front of them.

"Huh..? For us?" Henna asked. Serpent and Serpentine nodded. The couple grabbed the apples and managed to eat them, regaining some of their strengths. Serpent and Serpentine cooed and nuzzled their riders.

"Thanks boys.." Edgar said before he tried to stand again along with his wife. With their Zippleback to support them, Edgar and Henna managed to slowly walk out of the cave and the four of them reached a small river.

Edgar and Henna both drank from the river, thankful for a source of water. Their Zippleback drank from the river a little as well. When the four were done, they all looked around at the new area. Sure they've seen forest back on Berk, but this one was extremely large compared to the ones on Berk. "So.. where are we?" Henna asked, looking at her husband.

"I don't know honey." Edgar stated. "But we're not in Berk anymore."

Suddenly, the four heard some footsteps coming towards them. Serpent and Serpentine hissed and coiled protectively over Edgar and Henna, who were prepared for what was about to come out of the bushes... what came out was a Titan Wing Zippleback.

Not just any TW Zippleback... it was the same one that Serpent and Serpentine dominated years ago...!

The TW hissed at them, no doubt wanting payback for dominating over it, but Serpent and Serpentine couldn't risk their riders safety. So they carefully picked the two up with their mouths and flew away with them. The TW, not willing to let them go that easily, chased after Serpent and Serpentine!

The Zippleback saw its Titan Wing counterpart and rival chasing after them and took evasive actions, diving into the forest below and swerving in and out of the trees, know the Titan Wing would have difficulty performing the same trick. And they were right. The Titan Wing Zippleback's wings clipped some of the trees, but he kept on flying.

Serpent and Serpentine then spotted and cave and flew inside of it along with the Titan Wing. Their maroon coloring made them hard to see in the cave so the two sped ahead and took the right tunnel. The Titan Wing made it to the crosspath and looked at either path. The Titan Wing then took the left tunnel.

Serpent and Serpentine flew down the tunnel for a minute before they slowed down and entered a cavern before landing. They gently placed their riders up against the cavern wall and cooed at them. "Ugh... thanks Serpent." "Thanks Serpentine.." Edgar and Henna grunted.

Their Zippleback cooed at their riders before they gently nuzzled them.

Meanwhile, Zenna, Aurora and Hiccup were flying over the sea looking for Edgar and Henna's ship. "Where are they..?" Zenna kept muttering to herself in worry.

"Don't worry Zenna, I'm sure they're fine.." Hiccup reassured.

"Um... I don't think so.. look.." Aurora said grimly and the trio saw the completely wrecked ship! "Mom! Dad!" Zenna called but there was no sign of them. "They... They can't be...!"

"Now Now Zenna, don't jump to conclusions..." Hiccup said to her. Aurora sniffed some the board pieces and picked up a scent. "Hey, their dragon was here!" she called.

"Serpent and Serpentine!" Zenna gasped.

"They must have snuck out to search for them." Hiccup said. "They must have found them and took them somewhere.. but where?"

Aurora then spotted an island ahead. "Let's check that island.."

Zenna and Hiccup nodded before following their friend to the island. Landing on the beach, Zenna immediately saw dragon footprints. "Zippleback prints. Serpent and Serpentine were definitely here..." she said.

"And if we're right. Wherever they are, Edgar and Henna are too." Hiccup declared. Zenna sighed in relief, knowing her parents were safe with their Zippleback. "Now let's find our parents." Zenna and Aurora said in unison and the six friends ventured into the forest in search of Edgar and Henna.

Edgar and Henna, meanwhile, were being cared for by their dragon.

Serpent and Serpentine had gathered some food for the couple and stayed nearby, keeping an eye out for the Titan Wing opponent. Serpent and Serpentine licked the lacerations, despite the protests from their riders, "Serpent, I'm alright.." "Serpentine, its okay.." Edgar and Henna told their Zippleback, but the two headed dragon didn't hear any of it.

Edgar and Henna sighed until they heard a roar coming from the tunnel. Serpent and Serpentine hissed at roared at the cavern enterance, ready to defend their riders. "Mom! Dad..!" Zenna's voice called through the cave. Serpent and Serpentine calmed down as Zenna, Aurora, Hiccup, Stryka, Shadow and Toothless entered the cavern!

"Mom! Dad..!" Zenna gasped in relief as she rushed over to her injured parents and checked them over, "Oh.. are you okay...?" Zenna asked frantically.

"Ugh... we're fine love.." Henna replied with a grunt.

"You two don't look alright." Hiccup stated. Stryka warbled in great concern for her riders' parents. "W-We need to get you both back to Berk, now!"

Zenna nodded but before she could help her parents to their feet, Shadow turned around sharply and growled just as the Titan Wing Zippleback entered the cavern! "Oh no, you again..!" Hiccup groaned.

The TW roared at the group and Toothless fired a plasma blast at it.

"Zenna, Aurora, g-get your parents out of here, I'll be right behind you.." Hiccup said as he got out Inferno. Zenna and Aurora helped their parents stand up and got them on Stryka and Shadow before they flew out of the cave with blinding speed along with Serpent and Serpentine. Hiccup waved Inferno in front of the TW, who growled at the two, irritated.

The Titan Wing lunged at the pair but Toothless, tackled the dragon, knocking it into the side of the wall, "Nice work bud." Hiccup praised, "Now Plasma blast!" Toothless blasted the top of the cavern's entrance and Hiccup mounted his best friends before they flew out of there just as the caverns entrance was blocked by rocks.

Arriving back on Berk, Hiccup and Toothless immediately went to Zenna and Aurora's hut and found them outside with Zenna holding El in her arms, "Zen, Aurora, how are your parents?" he asked.

"They're with Gothi now. So far, there no severe injuries on them. which is a good thing.." Zenna stated.

Hiccup stated and Toothless went over to a worried Serpent and Serpentine. The two headed dragon was pacing back and forth, worried about their riders condition. Toothless cooed at them.

Hiccup came up next to Zenna, "They'll be alright Zen. I know they will..."

Zenna nodded while El cooed, oblivious to what was going on.

It wasn't until the early evening that Zenna, El and Aurora heard the door to their house open up, revealing Stoick, Gobber, Hiccup... and her bandaged parents. "Mom, Dad!" Zenna and Aurora said with great relief and the two hugged their parents.

"It's alright love, we're okay." Edgar said.

"We'll be fine.." Henna added.

Zenna and Aurora smiled at the two of them... before Zenna decided to yell, "DON'T SCARE US LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN! DO YOU HEAR ME!" and lightly bonk her parents on the head, using her battle sticks.

"Ow, yes yes, love, we hear you.." Edgar said, rubbing his sore head.

"Sorry dear." Henna apologized. Serpent and Serpentine, who were sticking their heads in through the window, happily cooed at their riders, happy to see them alright. Edgar and Henna rubbed their Zippleback on their heads. "Your parents told us that Serpent and Serpentine flew out in the storm and found them." Stoick told Zenna.

"T-They were willing to risk everything to protect them..." Hiccup added. Serpent and Serpentine licked their riders happily.

"Gothi said they need to rest for about a week to heal up." Gobber stated. "So make sure they don't sneak out and try training..."

Edgar and Henna looked at Gobber, "Don't say you don't do that cause everyone on Berk knows it.."

'Yes they say dragons' have a protective instinct to protect their riders, but Serpent and Serpentine are a special case, risking everything to save Zenna and Aurora's parents from danger. That's a bond that can never be broken'

Edgar and Henna rolled their eyes. "And... there's someone who wants to see you..." Aurora cooed, bringing over a cooing and happily babbling El over to his parents. Edgar and Henna smiled at their baby boy, who was happy to have their parents back.
