So I will take this time to rant about a few things. I recently re-watched the entire Inuyasha series in hopes that it would inspire some writing. My views of the series have changed since I started it back when I was 13. Haha. Example, I love Kikyo and Kagome equally now whereas beforehand I hated Kikyo to the point where I would curse at the TV. Teenage fangirls are scary, man.

Also for the sake of my sanity let us all assume that everyone in the story is on school break. I know I haven't mentioned them being at school since the first few chapters. This entire story is a freaking mess and if it was up to me I would just delete it and start over. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to do that due to being an adult and going to college.

Any who, enjoy!

The week was coming to an end and Miroku would leave soon. I wanted to devote the rest of the week to spending time with him because I wasn't positive when I would be able to see him again. This was proving to be a hard task considering Kouga and Inuyasha were constantly trying to get in contact with me.

I was still very hesitant to speak to Inuyasha considering all that had happened. I kept in touch with Kouga but did not see him.

That day I was planning to go on a hike with Miroku and possibly ride my bike through a rural area. I was getting a backpack ready when my phone rang. It was Inuyasha. I internally sighed and debated whether or not to just answer it. I glared at it before I finally answered.

"Yo." I know I sounded rude and at the moment I could care less.

"Kagome, you answered." Inuyasha was surprised. Naturally. I had been ignoring him.

"Yes, I did. How may I help you?" I was not interested in any small talk. If he had something to say he was going to get right to the point.

"I-I wanted to see how you were doing. We haven't talked since that day in your room."

"And for good reason. What is your point, Yasha? What did you expect?" I was nearing hanging up on him. Miroku was feigning sleep as to eavesdrop. I was getting impatient. The day was wasting.

"Kagome, I ended things with Kikyo the night that we talked. When I told you I was falling in love with you. It's over." Well, he sure did not sugarcoat that.

"Wha..? Are you joking?" My head was spinning and I didn't know what to think.

"I don't want to pressure you into anything but I really wanted you to know. Please keep me in mind." He paused for a second and the silence on the line was deafening. "I better go. Just keep in touch with me, yeah?"

"I-I will." I stuttered. "Bye."

The phone beeped signaling the call had ended and I practically collapsed onto my bed. Miroku stirred next to me. "So when's the wedding?"

"What?"

"Kags, please. Inuyasha is obviously the correct choice. I know how you feel about Kouga but I also know that you and Yash are freaking made for each other. Stop fighting it, man." He rolled off the bed onto the floor. "I'm going to change so we can get going."

I glared at his back as he left my room. What the hell did he know?

Miroku and I had finished our third mile when we stopped for a water break. My phone hardly got any service and I had been trying to send texts to Rin all morning. As much as I hated to admit it, I needed her advice.

"After this let's head back and get a feast of pizza." I looked over at Miroku and practically died of laughter. He looked hopeless.

"You want to engorge on pizza after this lovely morning of exercise? Shame!" I squirted some water at him from my water bottle and got ready to run.

"I need sustenance!" He went in to tackle me but I successfully dodged him. "You betray me! We're supposed to be twins. How dare you!" He dramatically fell to the ground.

"Oh gosh, let's head out before you pass out from hunger." I chuckled and rolled my eyes. "I need to talk to Rin, anyway."

"It's so far, I might die before we reach civilization."

"Don't be such a drama queen. There is a transport service around here that will take us back to my bike. C'mon."

"Sweet salvation! Pizza will soon be mine!"

Miroku and I were at our favorite pizza parlor when RIn finally texted me back. "I'll be right back. I'm going to call RIn." I looked up at Miroku who was stuffing his face. He wasn't even paying attention.

I headed outside when she finally answered. "Hey, Kags."

"Rin, I'm hopeless."

"What's going on?" I proceeded to tell her all the events that had transpired over the last few days.

"Kouga, huh? Kagome, I have to tell you something that I found out before you went into the hospital when I was visiting. Remember?"

"Oh yeah, it was about Kikyo. You wouldn't tell me after that stupid stunt I pulled. What happened?"

"She knew about the Kouga thing. She is the one that sent Megumi after him. I was going to tell you but I saw how you were with Inuyasha. I knew you were over Kouga and I didn't want to ruin what you had going on. I'm sorry."

"I'll kill her." I started shaking and realized I needed to get back to Miroku before I ran off and did something stupid. "How did you find out?"

"She called me in distress after she saw how close you and Inuyasha were getting. She thought you had figured it out and was trying to get back at her. Idiot. I don't know what possessed her to think that I wouldn't tell you. No matter how upset she was."

"I'm with Miroku right now so I'm going to go."

"Oh, thank God. He'll keep you calm. I'll talk to you soon. Bye."

I made it back to our table without breaking anything and sat down. Miroku looked up at me and instantly knew something was wrong. "Uhm, you're pissed. I already paid. Let's go."

I shook my head in acknowledgement and stood up to leave with him.

Miroku and I made it back to my house before I began to let my anger out in slurs of curse words. Miroku left the room to get me a glass of water and a sat on my bed trying to control my rage.

"What happened? Did Rin say something?" He handed me the glass and sat next to me.

"Kikyo sent Megumi after Kouga, dude. What the hell. She's worse than I ever imagined." I took a bug gulp of the water and placed it on my nightstand. "She confided in Rin after InuYasha and I started getting close. Like if Rin wouldn't tell me. What an idiot!"

"Are you joking? We need to confront her." Miroku got out his cell phone and started to call Kikyou.

"Miro! Are you in town? What's going on?" I could hear her shrill voice even though the phone wasn't on speaker. I've never really explained their relation. Kikyou my cousin on my mother's side and Miroku is from my Dad's side, of course. The sane side.

"I'm staying with Kagome. We actually wanted to see if you could come over. We want to talk to you."

"About what? I'm kind of busy." Funny how she was so interested in seeing Miro up until he said he was with me.

"Just things. InuYasha.. Kouga.. Megumi." Miroku's voice grew darker with every name. Any one who knew Miroku was aware that he was a hard person to upset but when he got there it was really really terrifying.

"Why them?" I could hear the slight panic in her voice.

Miroku chose to ignore her question. "We'll be expecting you in 30 minutes. Have a safe drive!" With that he hung up the phone.

"How are you so sure she'll show up?" I asked.

Miroku gave me a look that said I'm pissed and she knew it. I rolled my eyes and lied back onto my bed. This would be interesting.

Well there you go. Until next chapter!
