With Love ~Dresner

The Supreme One hangs her cape up after a long day of meetings with her Think Tank and her generals. Once again the prospect of invading the moon was presented to her by them and she turned it down once more. There wasn't anything important up there besides the refugees from the mass exodus caused by her own personal world war launched by her legions of robots, synthodrones, and soldiers. They weren't a threat to her and really she could care less about them. The terrorists on her world were slowly becoming an issue, but she personally didn't care too much about them. She was becoming complacent after every victory and some could see it, but didn't dare question her.

A drone brings her a cup of Coco Moo and leaves her be. She takes a sip and begins to smile as she remembers sitting in a cafe with Kim and her fool Ron after she became good. With a chuckle she begins to recall the conversation and how awkward Kim initially was as her change of personality.

God Kimmie, you didn't know what to do at first.

She remembers her brothers at that moment and thought about what might have happened to them once she took over. But after 20 years it doesn't seem that they figured out how to work together, even with her becoming the absolute ruler of the world. Maybe she should have someone keep an eye on them?

Nah, not worth the time.

Team Go was built on her tactics and her initiative, without that they were nothing. The terrorists were well equipped and intelligent, but without Kim they were nothing. Shego smiles and chuckles in admiration as she swirls the coco moo around in her glass.

I wonder what you would be if you were mine? With that thing you call a boyfriend you're almost complete, but are you? Are you really at your best?

The Supreme One appears again lounging in a chair with a glass of red wine that appeared more like blood than wine. Her jaundice eyes cast upon her and she sips her wine with contempt for her other side.

"Was she ever at her best?" The Supreme One asks Shego.

"No." Shego replies honestly.

The Supreme One smiles and stands up to close with her other side. "Even with her fool, Stoppable, gone or even when they were together. Who could really push her to her best?"

Shego doesn't say anything and only sips her coco moo as her other side stares into her. The Supreme One's hand grabs her chin and they lock eyes. "Me. Remember the Neuro-compliance chip? Remember when Drakken used it on you? I remember. She will NEVER join me or you, so you must be the one to put it on her."

Shego rips her hand off of her chin and with fire in her eyes she growls, "I'll never forget the hell of that chip or Drakken's stories. I'll never put Kim through that again."

"Oh so sympathetic, so caring, You'll make a good leader one day Shego." The Supreme One taunts her. "So you'll put the whole world under the collar, but not Kimmie?"

"I hate the world." Shego replies, gripping the wrist of The Supreme One like a vice. "The world is a cruel place and no matter whose side you are on, There is always someone trying to make you something you are not. Hego, Drakken, it doesn't matter. I'm evil because I won't lose myself, I'm evil because it's the only thing on this earth that lets Shego be Shego."

"Then let Shego become the one and only Supreme Ruler of the world." The Supreme One says with an evil grin. "20 years in the making and here you are. Leaders of the world swore to you, Armies of the world destroyed, and the only thing in this world that can defeat you is Kim Possible. Either ERASE her or CONVERT her."

"Absolutist filth!" Shego smacks the Supreme One to the ground, shattering the wine glass on the floor. "I will do what I SEE IS FIT!"

The Supreme One rubs the side of her face as the feeling returns to it slowly. A sadistic smile comes over her face as she picks herself up. "There we are… Now you sound like a Supreme One. What do you see fit then, Oh mighty Supreme One?" The sarcasm dripped off her tongue like poison.

"I won't do to Kimmie what my brother or Drakken did to me." Shego says as she sips her Coco Moo. She turns to the Balcony as the sounds of alerted drones catches her attention. As the two sides of Shego step outside they see four or five people scooped up by her drones to be taken to the re education facility. "Neither will I force her there for a collar."

"What about her family? Her Mother and Father?" The Supreme One asks as she stares at the beauty of the green sky. "Reports from General Dael, from what I could recall, said the Possible family are on the moon. A team could capture them and force them to serve us or-"

"No." Shego says firmly. "I'm not enslaving or killing her family, Her brothers maybe because they have made themselves a burden to my rule. But her mother and father? What have they done to me or my empire?"

Shego recalls the times she stayed at the Possible home, both as Ms. Go and herself, and the impression she gathered of them was that of a loving family. Her brothers were a bit annoying, but they were young then. Even Shego's own brothers were annoying at that age then. She recalled all the fighting and teasing she would do to them when they were younger. Though she did recall the Wego twins being just as annoying, just not with rockets and other super science experiments level of annoying. Her own folks were working too much to be around her and her brothers. Mom was a college professor and Dad worked as a stockbroker in downtown Go city, Not exactly the most parent friendly career paths.

"I wonder how they are doing since Kimmie left them?" Shego asks openly as a cool breeze caresses her face. "They can't be taking the fact that their daughter is trapped in the time stream well at all."

"When did you become so sentimental?" The Supreme One asks taking the coco moo from Shego. She takes a sip and, to Shego's surprise, she smiles. "This is good coco moo."

"Since I started thinking of Kimmie." Shego says as she takes back the cup from the Supreme One. "I've been having flashes, nightmares sometimes, of us together."

"Sometimes I dream as well," The Supreme One replies. "I dream of a world where she's gone for good. I dream of a world where my face is seen from Earth to the stars beyond. Oh wait it's JUST A DREAM BECAUSE MY OTHER SIDE IS TO WEAK THINKING ABOUT SOME GIRL!"

Shego ignores the sharp disrespectful tone of her other side and sips her coco moo as she tries to recall some of her dreams and nightmares. They varied wildly but always had something in common: Kimmie.

Some, like the night before, were actual nightmares where something gruesome happened to either Kim or herself. The dream in the valley felt so real she could almost feel the cold rain on her bones.

"I remember one of the nightmares vividly." Shego replies with a ghostly tone. "I recall the stormy October night she kicked me into that control tower. Except it didn't end with me going into the back of a panel van covered in blood and a bad hair do. She came to me this time and she would pick me up. It wasn't the Kim I knew but a demon it seemed. Her eyes were black as night and void of all emotion besides one… Hate. It sounded like her, It moved like her, but it just wasn't! That suit of hers changes her hand into some kind of blaster or something and she puts it under my chin. "I hate you." She would say over and over and over again till the world goes black. I still shudder when it rains after that night… She hated me then, but I don't think it lasted."

"She tried to kill you." The Supreme One says with contempt. "Isn't it obvious that she hates you after that? I don't know why you have any thoughts that believe otherwise."

"If she hated me then why did she take me into her home? Twice." Shego argues, facing the Supreme One head on. "I spend Christmas with her and her family. WE spent the holidays with them as if we were their guests. We stayed in her home when we had nowhere to go. She doesn't hate me and I don't want to see what would happen if she ever did hate me."

The conviction in her voice was heavy and filled the air around them. The Supreme One could almost feel it in the air as she breathed and saw it in Shegos eyes burning like a forest fire.

"But you would want that, wouldn't you?" Shego accuses The Supreme One. "Wouldn't you?"

"I have no idea what you're getting at, Child." The Supreme One replies arrogantly.

"Oh so bold of you!" Shego growls, clenching her fist. "You would love for her to hate me, to reject me, to degrade me. You would love it and you know you would! And you know what? I thought I hated her. But no… No I don't hate her, I'm jealous of her. I'm jealous of her picture perfect life and everything she has! Princess and her perfect world... It makes me sick. She's so perfect with her perfect friends, perfect family, and her perfect life. It makes me sick to my soul to see her have it all just given to her! Is this what you want to hear? Is this what you want from me?"

"I don't want to hear you say you HATE her." The Supreme One says with an evil grin. "I want you to accept the fact of life Shego! The fact that you ARE BETTER THAN HER AND YOU MUST PROVE THAT TO HER! You won! You dismantled her perfect world piece by piece, brink by brink, and you defeated her."

The Supreme One turns her to the Shegoton Skyline. "You defeated her. This was once Middleton and now it's SHEGOton. This world is ours! Her perfect friends? In jail, on the run, or one of our worker drones. Her perfect family? On the moon or underground. And her perfect life? Smashed to atoms by our fashionable boot. You did this. You did ALL OF THIS! Yet you still believe that you are less than her, why is that? I think I can answer that question rather easily. YOU. ARE. WEAK."

Shego's hands melt the glass with burning plasma. Her rage boiling under her skin with the intensity unheard of by any mortal. With a swift movement she strikes in the direction of the Supreme One only to hit the wall closest to her shattering pieces of concrete as if it were glass. Thankfully she felt no pain, but her ego was bruised for sure. She retreats into her chambers to lick her wounds in peace. Today was taxing on her to say the least between the mental battle with The Supreme One, her staff, and herself she was tired.

The time was 2232 at night and usually around this time she would be watching reruns of her favorite Reality TV series from the Pre- Supreme One days. Even the ruler of the world was still human. But tonight she didn't feel like watching mindless psychopaths argue over who was dating who or who drank all the booze last night.

No tonight she needed her beauty sleep. She needed to rest. She needed to escape for just a little while.

"I'm not weak." She says to herself as she pulls the picture of herself and Kim from the drawer. She stands it up against the lamp so it would face her. "But you make me weak. Maybe I won the battle between us, just for now…. But God damn it you might just win this war of ours."

Shego lays down staring at the picture till she begins to calm down enough to close her eyes and rest.

When she opened her eyes she found herself barefoot along the coast of a river in the middle of August. It was warm out but in the distance she could hear the sound of crashing waves. The smell of muggy freshwater gave way to the thick scent of sea salt and it possessed her to go towards it. The sand between her feet was gritty but satisfying as she wiggles her toes in it. The sun was blinding but felt wonderful against her pale skin as she began to walk along the river side. Shego noticed that her usual attire as the Supreme One was replaced with a black and green bikini with a light green scarf cover up tied around her waist. As she walked down the beach she began to see the ocean finally. Nearby she could see a couple of towels besides one another along with a couple of beach bags.

Shego smiles and once she reaches it takes her place to finally tan in the sun for the first time for what seemed to be forever. But the sun was just too much and to much of her irritation she digs through the bag to find a pair of sunglasses.

"Shego here." A voice says handing her a pair of black sunglasses.

"Thanks." She says taking them and laying on the towel, not thinking about the voice at all. After 20 years of being waited on hand and foot by legions of drones you tend to forget about things such as that.

"Shego." The voice says again, this time catching her attention. Shego prepares a stern glare as she raises her sunglasses to scold whoever was interrupting her time at the beach. But to her surprise the voice came from another woman with long red hair in a white bikini.

"Kimmie?" She asked in disbelief.

"One and only!" Kim replies with joy. "It took you long enough to come back from your walk. How's the Supreme One?"

Shego is taken aback and tries to turn away from her but Kim stops her and gazes into her eyes, "Shego, Don't be like this."

"She's… She's…. Fine. A bitch, but fine." Shego says reluctantly. She takes a deep breath and tries to calm herself. Kim recognizes this and turns to the other bag to grab something for her.

"Here." Kim says, handing her an ice cold water bottle. "You need to wear your sun hat more. You get finicky when you're hot."

Shego takes the water with a scowl only for Kim to laugh at her. She takes her free hand and places it on Shego's. "You know it's true. What would you do without me?"

Shego becomes noticeably quiet and begins to blush too much of her dismay. Kim giggles as Shego's face turns as red as her hair. She cups Shego's cheek playfully, "Cat got your tongue?" She asks her.

"No…" Shego says awkwardly as she feels the tension in her body start to fade away. With a deep sign she gives in to her emotions and takes Kim's hand holding it tight against her own. "I'm just… Confused on what I want." She says reluctantly admitting human weakness for the first in her life.

"I argue with her all the time about you and, to be honest, I don't know why. I just want to be happy, to really be happy, and to just be me. That's what I want." Shego says, pulling their clasped hands to her chest. "I just want to be with you."

Kim looks at their hands and studies them intensely as well as what was just said. With her face as red as a strawberry she looks up at Shego, "All I want is for you to be happy and for this to never end."

Her voice was pure and honest, nearly bringing a tear to Shego's eye. The two close in on each other and close their eyes as their lips met. Their kiss seemed to freeze time as the sound of crashing waves and chattering seagulls fades around them. Shego breaks the kiss and gazes into Kim's beautiful eyes once more as she takes a break, "I don't want this moment to ever end." She says as she wraps herself around Kim to hold her tight before returning to embrace her lips once more. The two then fell to the towels and they held each other as if it was the last thing they had to do on earth as the sun began to dip behind the turquoise sea before them.
