When I Grow Up – The Beach Boys

Age 4

"What kind of hero do you want to be when you grow up, Izu-kun?" asked a little purple-haired girl with elongated earlobes.

"I want to be a hero like All Might, who saves people with a smile on his face to let everyone know that everything will be okay!" replied a little green-haired boy with a happy grin. "What about you, Kyouka?"

She gave off a slight blush as she tapped her earphone jacks together in a shy manner. "I want to be a hero who puts a smile on everyone's face, so they know everything will be okay, Izu-kun."

Izuku blinked a few times before giving her a smile. "Then we'll be the heroes who make people smile, Kyouka!"

The little girl returned the smile.

A few days later though, Izuku would learn that he was Quirkless. He was devastated and everyone started to look down on him, aside from his mother and a certain little girl.

"I don't care if you're Quirkless, Izu-kun," stated Kyouka as she held him close. "You're still my best friend and I know you'll become a hero one day."

That small flame of hope in his heart started to burn brighter.

Age 14

Kyouka was doing everything she could not to breakdown into a panic. She had just witnessed her best friend rush in to try to save his bully from a Sludge Villain despite the fact that he was Quirkless. While she had no doubt Izuku would be a great hero one day, she still worried about him. If it weren't for All Might's timely arrival, Izuku probably would have ended up dead.

"Do you have any idea what you just put me through, Izu-kun?! You almost gave me a heart attack!" exclaimed Kyouka as she gave him a glare.

"G-Gomen, Kyouka, but I couldn't just stand by and let Bakugou suffer like that," replied Izuku. "I know he's my bully, but what kind of hero would I be if I turned the other way?"

"…A pretty lousy one," said Kyouka with a sigh. She then wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which he gladly returned.

It was then that All Might made his appearance…and Kyouka would learn of One For All.

Age 15

Izuku and Kyouka looked up at UA, nervous of what they would experience.

"You ready for this, Kyouka? We're finally going to achieve our dreams!"

"You bet, Izu-kun, and I know you're ready. You've been training for the past ten months for this moment," replied the purple-haired girl, giving him a smirk and getting a blush in return.

"I wouldn't be here without your support, Kyouka," said Izuku, looking her in the eye. "You believed in me when no one else would. So thank you for everything."

It was her turn to blush. "You don't need to thank me, Izu-kun. I'll always be there for you and never leave your side."

And how true that would be. The two would find that they were going to be in the same class, although Bakugou ended up there as well. As time went on, Class 1-A would face many trials, trials that Izuku and Kyouka would overcome together.

Age 18

"Don't you touch her!" yelled out Izuku as he blasted Shigaraki away from Kyouka with an air bullet.

The war had reached its climax. In their third year at UA, Class A were attacked by Shigaraki and his army with the villain wanting to end the Era of Heroes once and for all.

"D-Damn you, hero," grunted out Shigaraki as he glared at Izuku.

The young hero was currently floating in the air out of Shigaraki's reach with Kyouka in his arms.

"Are you okay, Kyouka?" asked Izuku with a look of worry.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay, Izu-kun," she replied. "Luckily, he didn't lay a hand on me."

Izuku let out a sigh of relief before glaring at his arch nemesis. "I'm going to end this once and for all."

"No you're not," stated Kyouka, catching Izuku's attention. "WE are going to end this once and for all."

The greenie couldn't help but grin at the purplette's words. With her still in his arms, Izuku flew over Shigaraki.

The villain let out a cry of anger. "Get down here and fight me!"

"Not going to happen, asshole!" yelled out Kyouka, aiming one of her amplifiers at the villain.

Shigaraki didn't know what hit him when a sound wave struck him full force. Izuku kept flying in circles around the villain as Kyouka kept striking with sound waves. Since Shigaraki's own Quirk needed contact or at the very least his target needed to be on the ground, he was a sitting duck.

"Th-This isn't fair!" stuttered out Shigaraki, his ears ringing.

"Since when do villains care about being fair?!" demanded Izuku as he charged up a kick. Flying at full speed, Izuku came up from behind Shigaraki with a kick to the back. "SMASH!"

Coughing up blood, Shigaraki was sent flying, smashing into a nearby abandoned building. When the next dust settled, the shy couple found Shigaraki knocked out cold.

It was finally over.

Age 22

Izuku was nervous as he stood there in his yukata. Today was a very special day, more so than the day he became the No.1 hero. Today was the day he would be marrying the love of his life, the woman who has been with him and supported him since they were children.

His eyes widened when she made her appearance. She looked so beautiful in her wedding kimono and the light makeup she wore. When she reached him, she gave him a loving smile.

"You're staring, Izu-kun."

"You're beautiful."

She blushed at his compliment. No matter how many times he called her that, she would become giddy with happiness.

"You're quite handsome yourself."

Izuku let out an embarrassed chuckle as his own cheeks were dusted red.

The ceremony began and soon the two were officially husband and wife. All of their friends and family cheered for them and celebrated the union of No.1 hero Deku and No.5 hero Earphone Jack.

"I love you, Midoriya Izuku."

"And I you, Midoriya Kyouka."

The two sealed their union with a passionate kiss.

Whatever the future held now, they would continue to face it together.
