A few miles from the Himalayas highest mountain in the world, lies the village of Simikot. Where it gets cold in the mornings and gets, even more, colder at nights. And yet people rather stay then seeking a better place to live with pleasant warm temperature.

Percy is in his bed in his room under the covers, sleeping comfortably with the warmest night clothes on. He is snoring softly. He had a stream of drool coming down on the right side of his mouth, and he had ruffled brown hair. Then the sun's powerful rays from his widow were hitting his face, causing him to turn away.

Then there are three gentle knocks on his bedroom door. Percy started to twist and turn in his bed.

"Percy?" Brenda, who is still in her nightclothes and had her hair curly hair up in a bun, stood out in the hallway as she knocked on Percy's bedroom door.

"Are you up yet?" Percy sat up on his bed with his eyes still closed shut as he rubbed them.

"Huh?" Percy mumbles with a yawn as he stretches his arms into the air. "Yeah, I'm up."

Brenda was not at all convinced with that answer. Not one bit.

Percy wiped away the reaming drool around his mouth.

"How long did you and Snowball stay up last night, anyway?" Brenda asked curiously, referring to Migo. Percy gave the Yeti that name call him by. Since he couldn't figure out what his real name is. He named Snowball because he looks like a warm white soft big snowball.

Ever since the Yetis started coming down on a daily bases, Migo would come to Percy's widow and have their little conversation about almost about anything before Migo goes home. Conversations like that would last till midnight or even past midnight.

Percy's eyes open slightly as he laid back down into his comfy soft pillow, staring at the ceiling.

"Snowball and I were up till midnight. He sorta helped me plan what we're going to do today,"

He pauses for a second.

"And we kinda lost track of time."

Brenda sighs as she chucked a little.

"Well, we have to get ready soon. The Yetis are coming down sometime today."

Percy's blue crystal eyes shout open as soon Brenda finished her sentence. Percy sat up and frantically checked his phone for the time, which is changing on his nightstand next to him. The time on his phone said 9:27 AM. He had to get going and fast.

"Oh yeah, that's right!"He gasped in excitement.

Percy got out bed admittedly and ran out his bedroom and went straight to the bathroom, leaving Brenda out in the hallway with a smirk on her face. She shocks her head.

"Oh, Percy."

After Percy did his personal hygiene and handling his business in the bathroom, he came out to see Brenda sitting criss-cross on the couch in the living room watching the news channel on the medium-size television. The blinds in the living room are open, and therefore, the living room is full of natural morning light. It is usual for them to have the news on television every morning.

"Good morning, Brenda." Percy greeted.

Brenda turned her head to Percy with a little greeting smile on her face, glad to see Percy awake.

"Good morning to you too, Percy." She greeted back. Percy came around the couch and sat next to Brenda.

"Anything going on in the news lately?"

"Well, A lot of things are happing. But there mostly have been extremely bad."

Percy couldn't deny that. "I bet."

Then silence set in between the two as the female news reporter's voice on television filled the silent void they created. Percy started to look at the news a little to see what was going on. As Brenda said, the report is talking about mostly terrible events or controversial things that are happening all around the world right now. Of course, no one on earth is new or surprised by these things.

"Are you up for breakfast?" Percy asked to lighten the mood a bit.

"Because I can make a real mean pancake,"

Brenda gave Percy a confused look. This did not sound right to Brenda. She knew Percy since college, and the last time she checked, Percy is more an animal caring and loving guy than a cooking kind of guy. "You can cook pancakes?"

Percy stood up and put his hands on his hips with full confidence written all over his face. Well, maybe too much confidence and a hint cockiness in her tasting.

"Of course I can,"

Brenda raised an eyebrow, obviously not too convinced. "Yeah-huh."

"I'll cook some pancakes for us for breakfast right now."

Before Brenda could protest, Percy is already walking into the open kitchen and struggling to find the supplies and materials to make some pancakes as he said. Brenda turned her head towards him in the kitchen in concern.

"Need any help back there?" Brenda asked.

"I'm okay, Brenda...I think"

Brenda just took that as an answer and turned her head back around to the television. Percy placed the frying pan on the electric black stove and turned the dial to hopefully the right temperature as a read light springs to life under the pan. Then he makes the pancake batter.

"How are your parents doing?" Brenda asked from out the blue.

Percy poured the pancake batter in the frying pan and started to sizzle as soon it touches the hot metal surface.

"They're doing okay," Percy replied simply. "You can already Imaginarium that my father is not exactly pleased with me right now." Percy sighs.

He and his father never really got along about anything, it been like that for as long he can remember. But in the end, Percy would still give his father call.

Brenda frowns a little at that. She met the guy before in person. Brenda decided not to speak more about it and hold her tongue.

Then Percy quickly changes the subject to lighten up the mood again.

"But my mother, on the other hand, She got extremely worried, I'm pretty sure she almost bought a plane ticket as soon she found out about the Yeti thing."

Unlike his father, his mother loves him no matter if he fails or succeeds. She encourages him to do what loves, which is learning and caring about animals. She always taught him moral lessons about life when he was young and even now. She promises that she'll be with him every step of the way until death.

Brenda laughs. "That's defiantly something your mom would do for sure, without a second thought."

"Yeah, good thing we took down that video so people can stop talking about it already," Percy said. He took a spatula and flipped the pancake to the other side to reveal the outer side had a lovely shade of golden brown.

"The pancake smell great, Percy." Brenda complimented, sounded almost surprised. "I think I underrated your pancake cooking skills."

Percy smirked to himself.

"Why, thank you, Brenda. See? I told you I could cook pancakes."

Then breaking news came on the television, which caused Brenda gasped and turned her focus on the news and turn up the volume slightly. She has been waiting for this news report all morning.

"Percy, they're talking about it again."

Percy flips the pancake with the spatula again, only this time, the pancake is refusing to move from its place from the pan, it is stuck. Then Percy tries to pry pancake from the pan with a spatula.

"The one about people going missing in other villages?" Percy grunted in a struggle.

"Yep."

It's true. Many people have been reported going missing in many villages in the Himalayas. Brenda has been following up. Officials say these victims may have only gone missing at night while sleeping, where anyone is at their vulnerable state. They don't know why these people are going missing.

Some say it's a supernatural creature. Some say it's aliens. Some even say it's just a hoax to get everybody scared out of their minds.

This phenomenon has been going for days, and people in those many villages have become paranoid and scared that they may be next on the list or they'll never see their loved ones ever again.

There are one of the few villages, including the one they're in now has not been struck yet by whatever is taking these people from their homes.

Today's report reported that a wife, husband, and a tourist from San Francisco were reported missing from their beds. In the village of Shimla. The husband and wife had two kids, one boy, and one girl who were thankful left behind with tears in their eyes. They woke up to see their parents are gone. They are now in custody with officials until they can find their parents.

Brenda couldn't imagine how those two children would be feeling right now. Percy heard the whole report while he was trying to pray the pancake off the pan. When he and Brenda listened to the first report about this, they did not overthink about it because people go missing here all the time and are usually found on the same day or the next.

But when these missing reports became dangerously frequent to the point that people go missing every single night and has not been found, Percy and Brenda got slightly worried. Of course, they didn't tell their yeti friends about it only because they didn't want them to get involved.

One elderly Asian woman in that very village on the news who had something to say about it.

"Many people have gone missing in my day, and there were never found again."

The older woman went silent for a minute, almost like she afraid of what to say next. Then she spoke with a quiver in her voice.

"God bless us all."

Brenda is horrified by this."This is horrible. How are these people going missing?"

"I wish I knew,"

Percy grunted in response. Brenda turned her head to Percy to see him prying the pancake from the pan at the stove. When he gives one strong pry, the pancake came flying up to the ceiling and getting stuck.

The only thing Percy did is stared wide-eyed at the pancake who choose its spot on the ceiling in despair and defeat with. Brenda came in the kitchen, and she too looked at the pancake. Percy is embarrassed and blush.

"I forget to put oil on the pan, didn't I?"

"Well, at least you got to a nice golden brown."

Percy still had an embarrassing look when he looks over to Brenda.

"You want some cereal or oatmeal instead?" He offers with a grain. Brenda sighs and then gives Percy a grateful smile. She is thankful to have ended up with a partner like Percy. She could have ended up with anyone else, but his love for animals is what inspired her to be part of his show in the first place. Sure, he lost his integrity a few months back, but he manages to get it back as she hopes.

"...Sure, And I'll make us coffee or tea."

"Sounds like a plan."
