She quickly jumped on top of her bed, opening her textbook, pretending to be working on her homework. When suddenly, her door opened without being knocked on.
"What the hell? That's two strikes, Giracho!" Lyn yelled.
"We need to talk," he stood in the doorway examining the room. He had his arms crossed across his chest with a slight smirk on his face as he noticed the many posters Lyn had of boy bands on her wall. He pointed to one of Maroon 5, "I didn't know you liked mortal music," he snickered.
Lyn raised an eyebrow. "And what do you like? Vampire screamo?"
Sebastian ignored Lyn's comment and kept observing her room.
Lyn started getting apprehensive. "What do you want?"
Sebastian flashed his amazing emerald eyes at her, with a twisted smile on his visage. "I want to go on a date."
I Don't Want to Love Him, but I Just Do...
Chapter Ten
More Complications
"We're only seventeen! How could this have gone this far?" Dominic tucked his head into his arms as he sat down on Catheryn's bed. His face was so red, he looked as if he was about to burst into tears or right about ready to punch down a wall. "I can't, Cat..." He lifted his head out of his arms. "I can't take this much responsibility at such a young age. I'm sorry..."
Catheryn's usually perfect dark brown curls were a mess, her eyes black from hunger, her visage expressed exhaustion; she was completely going crazy. She looked into Dominic's eyes and burst out crying.
"You are an asshole, you know that, Dom?" she screeched, punching at his chest with all the strength she could muster. "We BOTH are responsible for this child. BOTH! Not just me, not just you, BOTH of us! Oh, how simple it is for you to just opt out of taking care of your child! Why am I stuck with all this responsibility, huh? Where's my choice in this? Oh, that's right... I don't have a choice, but of course you do. How lovely," she stopped hitting him and stood up from the bed, not capable of looking him in the face at the moment.
"What do you want me to say, Catheryn?" his very deep voice boomed and echoed in the small room. "That I want this child? That I want to be a father at seventeen-years-old? I honestly don't; I really, truly don't," he shook his head, "I can't do this. We both don't have jobs, we still go to school, we have other important plans and things for the future that a child will ruin right now."
Catheryn nodded her head, her hands on her waist. She paced around the room, too worried and anxious to sit down. "So you get to go live your life while I'm stuck with your child and ruin mine? Without you Dominic for sure my entire plans for my future WILL be ruined! Can you imagine how sad this child will be without his or her father? How much trouble I will go through raising him or her? But of course you only care about yourself..."
He let out a deep breath. "I don't want you to go through all this by yourself. If we were in a better situation, if we were older with job, if we were actually married..."
"What if, what if, what if! What if I never had sex with you and I never got pregnant?" she yelled out, interrupting him. "Or better yet, what if I never became your girlfriend? But unfortunately I did and 'what if' doesn't exist. 'What is' is what exists right now, Dom. You either be a man and take responsibility for your actions or be a coward and run away from your problems. Your choice."
He shook his head, hurt by her words. He stood up from the bed and walked up to her, taking her in his arms, kissing her forehead. He leaned down and kissed her lips, then looked deep into her eyes, "Good luck, Cat," and he walked out of the room, leaving a dumbfounded Catheryn behind.
She watched him leave and heard the door close as he left her house. She fell onto her knees; her eyes not blinking, her words not being able to form, shock just completely struck her.
She crawled into a ball on her floor and poured her eyes out, knowing she was going to stay in that position for hours to come. Everything dawned on her all at once. She was pregnant with Dominic's child, who wasn't going to help her through it. She was still a teenager, still in high school, with no job. How was she going to do this on her own? Her parents were probably going to disown her. She did not know how she was going to support herself and this child. She had never felt so alone in her life.
She touched her stomach, a tear sliding down her nose and onto the floor, where a small puddle had already formed. "I will never walk out on you," she spoke to her baby, "I will love you like no mother has ever loved a child. It's just me and you," a small smile formed on her lips but a curtain of depression was still draped over her. The love of her life left with her heart and all her sanity. All she can do was not lose hope.
Lyn's eyes literally bulged out of her eye sockets. She closed her textbook, her mouth agape, the butterflies tugging at her stomach full-on now.
"A date? After everything you've done? Are you serious?" she rolled her eyes and stood up from her bed to place her textbook back in her drawer.
Sebastian stood there with a smirk on his face as he noticed Lyn's very startled expression. He walked towards her and placed his hands on the bridge of her waist, his hand passing on the vein he had found on her stomach the day she was unconscious.
"You know you want to go, don't lie to yourself, Lyn," he whispered in her ear, making her entire being into millions of goosebumps. "So is that a yes or a no?"
She raised her eyebrow and turned around to look straight into his eyes. "Since when do you actually want to get along with me, Giracho?" she interrogated, catching her breath.
He leaned closer to her as she stood in place motionless. Her heart beating at a very high rate. She closed her eyes and waited for his lips to touch hers when she suddenly started laughing so hard, she had to hold her stomach and breathe in and out because it was starting to hurt. She still couldn't believe her ears. Even though her heart was racing at a hundred miles per hour, and Sebastian had his hand on the most aurosal-making part of her body, she couldn't believe he had actually asked her out on a date! She wouldn't be caught dead going on a date with the guy she literally despises.
"What's so funny?" he raised an eyebrow, getting a little annoyed, letting go of her.
Lyn calmed down a bit, giggles still spilling out here and there. "You honestly want to go on a date with me Sebastian? With me? Lyn Scar? The girl you've always hated. The girl that literally cannot stand you. You're hilarious," she shook her head still not believing it.
He sighed, frustrated and lifted her off the bed, hanging her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Giracho, you put me down this instant! I am NOT going with you on this date!" she slammed on his back with her fists as hard as she could, but he wasn't letting go or even twitching. What? Is this guy made of bricks or something? She thought, still slamming on his back. "Dammit, Sebastian, let me go!"
"Lyn, you need to calm the hell down," he opened his car door and threw her inside the passenger side, slamming the door shut before she could escape. He got in the other side and started the car as quickly as he could, flooring the car forward and racing out of the royalty property.
At this point, Lyn was steaming with anger. She went to open the window when Sebastian locked it, leaving it only a crack open. Lyn got on her knees and through that little crack started to scream, "Help! I'm being kidnapped! Help!"
"You have got to be kidding me," Sebastian muttered under his breath. He grabbed her by her leg and slid her away from the window, still managing to maneuver the car perfectly. Her body was now lying flat across the front seat with her legs lying across Sebastian's legs. He held her there with his hand tightly secured on her calf. He smirked as she tried to squirm out of his grasp but was not succeeding on escaping.
"Help! I'm being raped! Call the police! I'm too young to have my virginity taken away forcefully!" she screamed once again but knew that yelling wasn't going to make a difference since no one was going to hear her.
He couldn't help but chuckle at how ridiculous she looked. "Rape? Really, Scar? You know that if you ever had the chance to sleep with me, you would not be forced, you'd do it willingly," he smirked.
Lyn's face turned as red a tomato, and she shoved his head to the side. "More like the other way around. You dream to have all of this," she waved her hand back and forth, indicating her entire body, "but that's only in your dreams because you will never have this."
Sebastian snickered, raising his eyebrow with a smirk on his face. "So you expect to live the rest of your life not having intimate relations with your husband?"
"Yep," she confirmed.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Mmhmm," she nodded her head.
"Bullshit," he laughed.
Lyn furrowed her eyebrows. "I'm being serious! If you're going to be my husband, I'm not going to award you with my body! You deserve to suffer! No sex for you, buddy boy," she grinned triumphantly.
"To hell with that! If I'm not going to get it from you, I'm going to get it from somewhere else!"
"I'm sure you and your hand will spend the rest of eternity happy together," Lyn burst out laughing. By the look of shame on his face and from his silence, she knew she got him good. "Wait a minute," she backtracked, "you'd actually want to have 'intimate relations' with me? Really? With me?"
"Well you're a female, right? A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do no matter how horrifying you are," he chuckled.
"Jerk," she crossed her arms and laid her head on the seat; she was still lying flat across the front seat. "Where are you taking me anyways?"
"Drive-in," he answered as he parked in front of one of the big screens. He turned to the right radio station to hear the movie and tilted his seat back, getting comfortable before the movie started.
"Cliché," she muttered. "Can you let go of me now? I want to go buy some antelope blood."
He hesitantly let her go and gave her the money to go buy the blood. As soon as Lyn was at the concession stand, Sebastian heard the car door open. He looked to the side and to his surprise noticed that it wasn't Lyn.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he asked.
"Demi! Jandro! Have either of you seen Catheryn or Lyn?" Ali yelled over to them as she walked out of the mall with Liv and noticed them walking on the sidewalk. Ali and Liv tried to catch up with them. "I keep calling both their cell phones but Catheryn's phone goes straight to voice mail, and Lyn just doesn't answer."
Demi shook her head and shrugged her shoulders, "I haven't seen them all day. That's weird, though... Catheryn and Lyn always answer their cell phones. Could they be in trouble?"
"Does it matter?" Jandro huffed out a breath. "Lyn's probably with her fiancee," he growled as he said that, "and Catheryn's probably sleeping. We shouldn't disturb them."
Demi rolled her eyes at him, "Don't listen to him, he's just mad that Lyn didn't tell him sooner about Sebastian. We could go check their houses and see if they're okay."
"Good idea," Liv confirmed.
They started walking towards Catheryn's house since it was the closest. Suddenly, Demi stopped in her tracks, her heart jumping and landing in her throat as she noticed Ethan walking out of a building. Everyone else stopped too when they realized that he had walked out of an abandoned building that no one has set foot in in decades. They noticed that he had some kind of box in his hands and that he was observing his surroundings, hoping that no one had seen him.
"He looks like he's up to no good," Jandro said, squinting his eyes suspiciously at Ethan as he entered his car and drove off.
"What do you mean? Maybe he's thinking of renting or buying the place?" Demi defended him.
"Oh, please, Demi," Jandro said, giving her a whatever expression, "he's gonna buy or rent a building filled with dead vampire pieces, and rotting werewolf, wizard, and witch corpses?"
"Eww!" Liv screamed. "That's what that buildings there for? No wonder it stinks so bad!" she scrunched up her nose.
"We should follow him," Jandro confirmed, "we need to see what he's up to."
"How do you know he's up to something, Jandro? You're assuming! Leave the poor guy alone!" protested Demi. "Plus, we need to see if Catheryn and Lyn are all right."
Jandro scowled and started following them again as they walked towards Catheryn's house. He knew Ethan was up to no good; he could feel it.
Lyn started to walk back to the car from the concession stand with two bags filled with antelope blood; one for her and one for Sebastian. She still couldn't believe Sebastian had forced her to go on this date with him. Maybe this was a good thing? She thought to herself. Maybe this will finally get us to stop bickering and to get to know each other a little bit better?
She felt butterflies and little smile tug at her lips at the thought of the conversation they had in the car. She suddenly started to think, what if we did have sex? Her mind started to go to different scenes and cursed under her breath as soon as she realized what she was thinking about. This is Sebastian you're thinking about! Get a hold of yourself!
She still hadn't told him that she had spoken with Tom yet... She didn't really know if she should; she didn't know how he would react. She didn't think that he would get jealous but maybe a little angry, or maybe he just wouldn't care? She didn't even know if she was going to tell him or her friends about the aracnidi.
Lyn's thoughts started to run as she got closer to the Sebastian's car. She squinted her eyes a bit as she realized there was movement going on inside the car; there someone else in the car with Sebastian. She quickly started to walk faster toward the car and to her surprise, what she saw broke her in half. A feeling so familiar and so painful that she had to hold herself against the car to prevent herself from falling.
She got a hold of herself and sucked in all the pain, trying her best to numb it. She ripped a piece of wood off of this bench near by, making sure the end was pointed enough. She broke the car window and lodged the stake into Monica's back, interrupting her and Sebastian's make-out session.
Lyn opened the car door and pulled it off its hinges, making it into scrap metal. She pulled Monica by the hair and slammed her on the floor, lodging the stake deeper into her spine. She wasn't going to let Monica get away with this again.
The life was being drained away from Monica's face; her body turning into broken glass, her life fading... Seconds before finally killing Monica, she felt Sebastian's strong arms lift her up and throw her to the side. He went and tried to revive Monica again.
Lyn didn't know what hurt more: her seeing Monica kiss another guy that she was with or seeing Sebastian actually protecting Monica and trying to save her.
"Sebastian, what the hell?!" Lyn screamed at him. "Why are you saving her? Why were you kissing her?" she didn't know why tears were starting to form in her eyes or why she felt as if she had stabbed herself in the heart with the stake.
Sebastian wouldn't answer her; he just kept trying to bring the life back into Monica. It was as if he was possessed.
Lyn couldn't take it anymore. She ran with her vampire speed as fast as she could to Catheryn's house. Her tears drying up with the wind rushing against her face. Why was Monica trying to steal Sebastian from me, too? All her hatred towards Monica started to form a ball in her abdomen. She was going to kill that aracnidi bitch and no one was going to stop her.
