Percy has been sitting near the window, whiting for the yetis to come marching out with Brenda and the frighten villagers in all their hands. Then they have a long walk home to the villages, and everybody is united with their families and lived happily ever after The end. Well, that's how he would imagine the great rescue that he and the short fellow is not a part of it.
Percy thought being watched by Fleem would be the worst part of this whole trip, but it went fine, at the least later on. They talk about all kinds of weird stuff together.
"You know Smallfoot; I think they left us here because we're too good for the job. Although I don't know how hard it would be, but I'm pretty sure we're up for the job."
But Percy now knows that Fleem's hand signals needs more work and practice.
"They left us here so you can marry your sister's aunt? Although your not sure you would be good enough for the job?" Percy translated with a shiver. Percy is sure that's not said. Maybe he said something about the weather or something like that.
They spent most of their time at the window, despite Migo's warning. To past the time, Percy would play Wizards and Spells, a puzzle game he likes on his phone while Fleem talks to himself about something. He couldn't go asleep until he knows they okay.
Percy is on level 425 in his game; he been stuck on this level since he and Brenda arrived at the Himalayas. It is a hard level, after all. When he used up all his moves, he lost the game again. Percy angrily decided to get off the app and go to his photo gallery instead to clam his nerves.
He scrolls thought many memorable photos that would take him through memory lane. Most of them spend their time in the village. Most of them are pictures and videos that he took of yetis in there, specifically Migo. Then he landed on a photo of him and Migo using puppy filters in a selfie. Migo was so cute in that picture.
He smiles, warmly. Perhaps he was too hard on him, a bit of a jerk. Migo was only trying to protect his thought out. His desire for adventure clouded his judgment. Maybe Migo was right; he shouldn't come along at. He was no help on the trip at all. "I should apologize to Snowball, Shorty. I'm such fool! A pathetic fool! What was I thinking coming along!?" Percy said, throwing his hands in his face.
"Smallfoot, what are you saying over there? Are you talking about me?" Fleem said, sounding offended. Then from the corner of Percy's eye, he saw the teal yeti approaching the house from the window; she approaching fast.
"Uh, Shorty? Someone is coming!" Percy pointed frankly with wide eyes. Fleem heard rapidly seeking, and it got on his nerves. "How does Migo put up with up you?" He mumbled. He sighs and then pretends to be interested.
"Sightseeing, are we? Well, this should be intrusting. Let me see." Fleem walks over to see what he is pointed at. Then his eyes widen huge and began to panic of the sight of Teal coming this way.
"Oh, no! It's that teal yeti, and she's coming this way!" Fleem then turns to the Smallfoot and scoops him up in his hands. "I-I gotta hide you somewhere!" He jogs out of the room and quickly searches for places for the little guy to hide. Then his eyes landed on a jar on a shelf. A light bulb went off.
"What are you doing?" Percy asked. Fleem got the jar off the shelf and plopped Percy in the pot and shut it. Before he could put it back, Teal came busting thew the door in a mad hurry. She closes the door behind her as she panted. She saw Fleem awkwardly holding a jar in his hands. Teal quickly dismiss it, though.
"Why hello there. I did not expect to see you here." Fleem said to act naturally as possible. "How are things going?"
"No time, you have to get out of here!" She grabs him by the hand, still holding the jar.
"Wait. What? Why?" Fleem said confusedly; all this is going to fast for him to keep up.
"The Stonekeeper has your friends, and his guards are on their way over here to capture you right now!" She quickly explains.
"What! Slow down!" Teal drags him to the back window. Percy peeked out for the jar to see where this was going, and needless to say, he was scared of what would happen next. "Hurry! We can escape through the back window," Teal instructed. Then she started looking around the room for something to break the window with. Then she spotted the jar in Fleem's arms.
"Hand me that jar your holding; I can use it to break the window!"
"Uh..no! You can't use this!"
"Why not?"
"...It's a special jar. Yes, it's precious to me. So we can't use it." Fleem laughs nervously as he sweats. Teal is somewhat speechless; she no idea how to respond to this, although she doesn't recall him bringing a jar with him. She quickly got back to the serious matter at hand.
"Okay, then, help me find something else then." She searches the room again. Then Fleem spotted something they can use in the.
"How about this chair?"
"Perfect!" Teal grabbed the chair and lifted it with all her might and carried it to the back window, despite being slightly heavy. She smacks the window with it.
Bang
It created a spider web crack on the ice surface. The window is thick; it's going to take some time to break. Fleem kept looking back at the front door worriedly.
Teal hits the window again.
Bang
And again.
Bang
The window gives way and shatters like glass to ground. Teal drops the chair down from tired her tired arms. Fleem stood wide eyes at her. Then they heard footsteps and lights coming their way, Cornell and the guards. Teal quickly grabbed a yellow glowing snail off the wall and told Fleem to go with her. "Come quickly; I know where we can hide for now. I can explain everything there."
With no choice, Fleem and Teal escape through the back window and jog off as fast as they could into the late night. She made sure to covers their tracks so they wouldn't be tracked down. Percy's whole world is shaking due to Fleem sprinting with the jar; he did not think he'll get sick on this trip either.
Cornell and the yeti guards burst down the door and started searching the house for Fleem after knocking on them several times for a more calmer approach. When that failed, he had no choice. Glowing blue lights soon filled the house.
"Find hiding any places; maybe he's hiding somewhere!" Cornell suggested to the guards. The guards did as they are told. He watch them ransack the house from theeentrance. Cornell took breath and thought.
Your only doing this, so father will be proud of you.
"There's no sign of the yeti, he escape thought the widow." A guard reported back to Cornell, he was a bit frustrated with that but then.
"But, we did find this in the bedroom." The guard held up Percy's backpack to Cornell. He and others had no idea what it is. Compared to them, it's a small and soft little thing. Cornell poked at it.
"What is it?" Cornell asked.
"No clue, ...but it's sorta cute." One of the guards admitted. He hands it over to Cornell to hold. "There are small things inside it." He adds.
Cornell plays around with the backpack in his hand. This may be the weirdest contraption he has ever seen. Why would they need this? It's too small. Unless...could it have belonged to a Smallfoot?
But Smallfoots are not real, that's impossible!
But father was literally talking about Smallfoot to the traders, so they had to be real!
They are confused and need help. They're saying a stone wrong!
Why would a stone be wrong when it has been right about everything?
"Cornell, we need to report this to the Stonekeeper." Cornell nodded. He and guards walk back to the palace, feeling uncertain. Cornell still held on to the backpack. Cornell kelp thinking to himself. How did he know we're coming?
