A Whole New Chapter!
Lorelai finds out she's pregnant, she's not sure how everyone is going to take the news and worries it's going to cause a whole new set of issues for her and her mother so she puts off telling her. What happens when Lorelai finally tells Emily? what happens when she tells Rory? Lorelais life is about to change forever but will it be good change or bad change?!
Feel free to give me suggestions on how to go forward with this story, especially baby names and things. There will be some smut eventually…please review :)
She spends a lot of time thinking about what could of been, of course she's happy with the way things have turned out, her daughter is the most important thing in her life, she has incredible friends, a wonderful man in her life and an amazing business she shares with her best friend. She has all of this and yet she still spends nights in bed thinking about where should could of been if she hadn't of disappointed her parents the way she did.
This is where she finds herself right now, except now she isn't in bed she's sitting in her kitchen with a cup of coffee, even though its 3am, she doesn't care though because she knows she's not getting back to sleep tonight.
Staring at her phone she contemplates calling her daughter and voicing her current concerns but she doesn't want to worry her or distract her from her college work. Putting her phone down she decides to go for a walk, sitting in an empty house staring at the same four walls and drinking coffee wasn't going to do her much good right now.
She grabs her coat, her scarf and her hat and heads out the door. Walking in to the town square she spots the gazebo and wanders in to it, she could always appreciate the beauty of the town from here.
As she sits on the bench in the gazebo she spots a light on across the street, she thinks to herself that its a little early to be accepting deliveries or opening the store. She frowns to herself and sneaks over to the store, curiosity getting the better of her.
Looking through the window she sees him sitting at the counter, he was looking through some papers, she couldn't tell what they were for, again curiosity was getting the better of her so she decided to make her presence known.
"Hey, it's a little early to be doing your taxes isn't it" She shouts through the door, banging on it as she speaks.
"Jesus, Lorelai, announce yourself before you start banging on peoples doors at 3:30am" Luke shouted back at Lorelai, clearly startled by her appearance.
Luke unlocked the door to the diner and let the grinning woman in, she was undoubtably pleased with herself and how she had frightened him.
"What the hell are you doing out of your house this early?" Luke asked the tired looking brunette, obviously concerned about her.
"Thought i'd go for a walk, my house was really quiet and I felt like the walls were going to close in on me" Lorelai said with a sigh.
"What's going on Lorelai? you've been distracted for a week now but every time I try to bring it up you change the subject, what's going through you're head? feel free to leave out the random gibberish" Lorelai smiled at how concerned Luke was about her and chuckled a little at the random gibberish comment.
She stared at him for a few seconds wondering if it was a good idea or not to tell him the truth, it could only go 2 ways, he'll either be happy or he'll leave her. Both of these options scared Lorelai because she wasn't one hundred percent sure how she felt yet, thats why she hadn't told anyone, she hadn't even told Sookie or Rory, she definitely wasn't telling her parents anytime soon.
Luke was staring at Lorelai with a look of concern on his face, was she leaving him? was she regretting this whole relationship? was Rory okay? had she argued with Richard and Emily again? all these questions kept going through his head, he needed her to tell her what was wrong so he could stop panicking and focus on helping her through whatever it was she was going through.
"Luke…I'm going to tell you but I need you to remember that I love you and I only kept this from you because I wasn't sure how you'd feel and that worries me" Lorelai was pacing back and forth behind the counter.
"Okay…" Lukes heart rate had sped up to an alarming rate, she's cheated on me hasn't she, he thought to himself as he watched his panicked girlfriend pace.
Lorelai stopped pacing and reached for Lukes hands and placed hers in his, she rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb and smiled slightly as she looked the man she loved in the eye.
"I'm Pregnant" Lorelai blurted out and watched her boyfriends eyes widen, she watched as he tried to speak but couldn't get any words out and she watched as he pulled his hands out of hers.
The brunette feared that all she had been thinking was about to come true, he was going to leave her and he was going to ask her to get an abortion. Luke stood up off the stool and made his way around the counter so he was stood directly in front of his girlfriend.
"You have never been more beautiful to me than you are right at this moment" Luke placed his hands on Lorelais face and crashed his lips on to hers. Lorelai smiled in to the kiss and deepened it, she wrapped her arms around the diner owners neck and he let go of her face and grabbed her hips to pull her body closer to his.
Lorelai pulled away from the kiss and smiled up at her lover.
"So you're happy about this?" She asked him cautiously.
"Yes of course, why would you think that I would be unhappy about this?" Luke questioned as he played with the ends of Lorelais hair.
"Well, we haven't been in a relationship for that long, I wasn't sure if you'd want a baby right now and to be honest I wasn't sure if you'd want a baby with me, I mean its probably going to end up with all those traits that you hate…like my coffee addiction, my eating habits, my love of awful movies, my rambling, my love of town events…" Luke cut off his girl with a short, soft kiss to her lips.
"I don't hate those things, they make me love you more, if I hated anything about you I wouldn't be so completely in love with you the way I am… yeah, maybe we haven't been in a relationship for very long but I couldn't think of anyone I would rather have a child with than you" the diner owner looked the woman in the eye as he spoke and saw the panic and anxiety disappear completely.
"So we're doing this?" Lorelai asked, she wanted to confirm everything and make it clear in her head before she allowed herself to get excited.
"As long as you're up for it, so am I… I've said it before and i'll say it again…I'm all in" Luke gently ran a hand through Lorelais soft dark hair and kissed her lips.
"I'm all in too" The inn owner replied with a smile and kissed Luke back deeper. Pulling away slightly Lorelai began to panic again.
"I hope Rory's going to be okay with everything….oh my god….I have to tell Emily" Lorelai placed her head on Lukes shoulder and he began to rub her back trying to comfort her, but to be honest he was terrified of telling Emily, that woman scared him.
