Sparda Arc: Awakening to Humanity

Cover Image: A red coated Sparda wielding Rebellion with Angelique standing behind him, both standing in front of a burning village.

Sparda had lived in Fatima for a few months, ever since he was separated from his forces, the Dark Knight was at the mercy of humans, but luckily, the human that found him was a kind healer named Angelique, who risked her life to keep the demon warrior's existence a secret and even giving him a home.

"I cannot thank you enough for all that you've done for me." Sparda, who took to wearing a red coat and his hair combed down while in Fatima, thanked Angelique for her hospitality. "I'm a demon… and yet…"

"You're a person, Sparda." Angelique gave the Dark Knight a warm smile, the healer was genuinely happy that the demon warrior was by her side. "And you've always been protecting me."

"I never knew that humans were so kind…" Sparda glanced at Angelique with a heavy heart and a guilty conscience over all of his conquests and the human blood he had spilt. "For you to accept me… after all that I've done…"

"You were just doing what you believed in." Angelique took Sparda's hands and gazed lovingly into the Dark Knight's eyes, the healer felt very safe around the demon warrior.

"I don't know what I believe in anymore." Sparda's heart was still heavy from the memories of all the atrocities his own kind had inflected on humanity and the part he had played in it. "I thought I was fighting for peace, but all I did was shed more blood."

"But your heart was in the right place." Angelique pulled Sparda into a warm embrace; the healer had forgiven the Dark Knight, even if he hadn't forgiven himself. "And I know mine is safe with you."

"Angelique…" Sparda stared into the healer's eyes, moved by her clear love and dedication, the Dark Knight, never has he seen such warmth and kindness in all his millennia of existence.

After gazing into each other's eyes, Sparda and Angelique shared a kiss, both lovers caught in the moment, a love that transcended their natures as a demon and a human.

The next day, Sparda stood on the edge of town, with a heavy heart, the Dark Knight resolved to leave Fatima so that he could protect humanity.

"Are you really leaving?" Angelique approached Sparda, the healer knew this day would come, but it still hurt to see the Dark Knight leave.

"Angelique, our days together were the happiest I've ever spent, never have I know such love and kindness." Sparda looked into the healer's eyes, truly grateful for all that she has done for him. "But I have to do this, you showed me just how kind humanity is, and now I know what I must do, Lord Mundus always said that humans were weak and petty, but you proved him wrong... you showed me the light in the human heart."

"Sparda…" Tears welled up in Angelique's eyes, the healer was deeply touched by the Dark Knight's words, but at the same time, she was overcome with sadness, knowing the dangerous path the demon warrior was going to take. "Are you sure? Can't you just stay with me…?"

"I'm doing what I believe in… what you taught me is the right thing to do." Sparda hugged Angelique, though it pained him to leave the woman he loved, the Dark Knight's resolve has never been stronger. "Goodbye and… I will always love you."

"I'll be waiting for you, Sparda." Angelique watched as the Dark Knight left to face his destiny, hoping that one day, they would meet again. "I love you."

Vergil Arc: News of departure

Cover Image: Vergil with his back turned and Etna reaching out to him wearing a hurt expression.

It has been three whole days since Vergil drove away the Tyrant Overlord Baal and broke the Seal of Lust, but during the fight, the Dark Slayer did something very out of character, he took a hit meant for Etna, injuring himself in the process, the unlikely gesture of self-sacrifice confused the vassal to no end, but at the same time, it strengthened her already growing feelings for the elder Son of Sparda.

"I wonder where Vergil is." Etna walked the halls of the Overlord's Castle, hoping to find the Dark Slayer, the thoughts of the day he saved her still made the Vassal's heart race. "I need to ask him about the other day…"

Etna searched everywhere for Vergil, from the Dark Assembly all the way outside in the training grounds but to no avail, running out of options, the Vassal decided to swallow her pride and ask Laharl.

"Open up Prince!" Etna knocked on Laharl's door, thinking that the blue haired demon would know where Vergil was.

"Yeah, what do you want, Etna?" Laharl opened the door, very annoyed by the vassal's pushy attitude and disrespectful tone. "Can't you see that I'm busy?"

"Have you seen Vergil?" Etna swallowed her pride and tried to show what she considered 'polite behaviour' to Laharl. "I've been looking for him all day, seen him around, Prince?"

"Big bro?" Laharl was surprised that Etna was looking for Vergil, who Laharl started to see as an older brother figure due to their glaring similarities and ambitions. "I think he's in the throne room with my old man."

"Thanks Prince! I owe ya!" Etna thanked Laharl before running off to the throne room, eager to confirm the strange new feelings she was experiencing for Vergil.

"The hell was that about?" Laharl was still confused by Etna's strange fixation on seeing Vergil. "Now to train, I won't lose, Big Bro!" The Demon Prince took picked up his sword and poured his demonic energy into it.

Etna made it to the throne room, but before she could enter, she overheard an important conversation between Vergil and King Krichevskoy.

"So you've made your decision?" King Krichevkoy questioned Vergil on his as of yet unrevealed actions, unsure of the Dark Slayer's conviction.

"Yes… I've already gotten what I needed." Vergil answered in his usual cold and stoic tone, thinking nothing of King Krichevskoy's question. "Nothing binds me to this place."

"But to leave the Netherworld so abruptly…" King Krichevskoy was still having a hard time taking in Vergil's decision, thinking that the bonds he forged with both Etna and Laharl would at least get him to stay a little longer.

"My business here has concluded." Vergil spoke calmly without an ounce of hesitation in his voice, as if their casual conversation was wasting precious seconds for his plan. "Before you say anything, any bonds I may have formed here were strictly professional… nothing but a means to my goal."

"THAT'S IT!" Etna burst into the throne room, both incredibly hurt and enraged by Vergil's cruel words and callous description of their time together. "I was just 'business' to you, huh!?"

"Etna…" King Krichevskoy felt sorry for the vassal, knowing all about her growing romantic feelings for Vergil and the effect those words would have on a woman in love.

"Is that not the case?" Vergil tried to keep his cool, but seeing Etna hurt like that was appealing to certain emotions the Dark Slayer thought he had suppressed, despite that he maintained his stoic demeanour. "Did you not come to me with your own agenda in mind as well?"

"Yeah, but that was before…" Etna remembered all that Vergil had done and the kindness hidden in the depths of his cold cynicism, the vassal knew in her heart as a demon, those were not considered attractive traits, but ever since the Dark Slayer saved her from Baal, the red haired demon's feelings started to grow. "How could you be such a…!"

"You and I are accomplices, bound together by a mutual quest for power, nothing more." Vergil said calmly before leaving the throne room, but within his cold exterior, the Dark Slayer was feeling an emotion that he thought was exclusive to his failure to save his mother, guilt, he did indeed fall for Etna as well, but the Half Devil chose to turn his back on his newfound love, fearing that it would lead him down the path to weakness and vulnerability. "I have no time for such foolishness…"

As Vergil left, Etna could barely contain her rage and sadness, having used countless of demons for her ambitions, she was unfamiliar with the feeling of being used herself, but even that couldn't supress the love the vassal felt for the Dark Slayer.

"Why… why is he like this?" Etna asked King Krichevksoy, looking for any answer at this point to ease the pain of Vergil's harsh commentary on their relationship.

"In many ways, he is much like Laharl." King Krichevskoy sighed at the irony of the situation, though angered by Vergil's coldness to Etna; he understood why the Dark Slayer was so ruthless. "Out of love, his mother, Eva sacrificed herself to save him from a brutal attack, this and his failure to save her, led him to despise love as a weakness and the force that took his mother away."

"I… I didn't know that..." Upon hearing King Krichevskoy's story, she now understood why Vergil's ruthlessness and his undying obsession with surpassing his father, Sparda.

"Tell me, Etna; are you in love with Vergil?" Despite having known the vassal's clear feelings for the Dark Slayer, King Krichevskoy wanted to hear it straight from the red haired demon's mouth.

"D-d-don't be silly, King!" Etna blushed so red that her cheeks matched her hair. The vassal was caught off guard by King Krichevskoy's question and she tried her best to deny the accusation. "Vergil's cold, selfish, heartless… handsome… kind… really strong… always determined…" The red haired demon's expression softened as her words started to contradict one another; she then started to show her true colours. "FINE! I love him, okay!? Seeing him leave and say all those things really pissed me off! I want Vergil to come back and love me dammit!"

"It was quite obvious to begin with." King Krichevskoy chuckled, seeing Etna, someone with a history of being a conniving and heartless demon being so in love was both amusing and heart-warming to him. "That fire in your heart can melt the ice that encases his." The Demon King approached the vassal, determined to give her the strength to go after the Dark Slayer. "There's still time, go."

"Right!" Etna spoke with a newfound determination, despite being a demon, she wasn't afraid to admit that she was madly in love. "I won't give up! I'll make that bastard love me!" The vassal yelled out before running out of the throne room.

Outside the castle, Vergil was preparing to depart from the Netherworld, cold and focused, having all that is needed to continue his bloody journey, and the Dark Slayer was determined to take his father's power.

"No room for hesitation…" Vergil remembered Etna's sorrowful expression when she heard that he was leaving her and her obvious love for him, the Dark Slayer went through several mental rationalizations, but the guilt remained and as much as he tried to supress it, he was falling for the vassal. "I must hurry… before this human weakness devours my resolve…"

Dante Arc: Devils Never Cry

Cover Image: Dante tossing his coin in the air with Priere standing beside him, both of them in front of the Uroboros towers.

After Arius's and Noir's death, an ominous beam of light radiated from the Uroboros towers and at the core of that light, was a portal that led straight into the heart of the Demon World, overlooking this dark ritual were Dante and Priere, who were both separated from the party. Priere, who had just recently turned into an Overlord, was very distraught over the change.

"So, I've gotta deal with another portal, huh?" Dante sighed, after having to seal the demonic gateways in Fortuna and the Temen-ni-gru, the Devil Hunter was understandably annoyed by the current situation. "Just my rotten luck…" The white haired freelancer approached the portal, ready to enter it.

"What are you doing?" Priere said as she saw Dante walk towards the portal, the newly turned Overlord didn't want to lose the Devil Hunter. "If you go there, there's no telling if you can come back…"

"My job is hunting devils…" Dante looked at Priere before giving her his trademark smirk, confident in his abilities and past experiences. "And I'm pretty damn good at what I do."

"Dante… I'll go instead," Priere spoke with sadness in her voice, even if the rest of the party accepted her, the newly turned Overlord was losing the will to live, having become the one thing she swore to destroy. "I'm just a devil anyway…" Tears started to form in the female Demon Hunter's eyes as she lamented her lost humanity.

"No." Dante wiped Priere's tears away; the Devil Hunter knew all too well how the newly turned Overlord was feeling. "Devils never cry…" The white haired freelancer looked right into the female Demon Hunter's eyes, earning a blush from her.

"But…! No! I won't let you play the hero like that!" Priere's couldn't stop her tears, the newly turned Overlord couldn't bear the thought of losing Dante, the person she had fallen in love with.

"Fine, then let's leave it to fate." Dante took his silver coin out of his pocket, in a rare moment of seriousness; the Devil Hunter was prepared to gamble on his own fate for Priere's sake. "Heads, I go, tails, you go." The white haired freelancer tossed his coin up in the air and caught it on his hand, and sure enough it was heads. "Guess that's that." The red coated swordsman smirked at the newly turned Overlord as he headed to the portal.

"Dante…!" Priere called out to the Devil Hunter, her face covered in tears, truly touched by the white haired freelancer's kind gesture, but at the same time, the newly turned Overlord was sad to see the man she loved go. "I love you…!" The female Demon Hunter said with a blush across her cheeks.

"I know…" Dante smiled at Priere, having been fully aware of the newly turned Overlord's feelings for him for quite some time. "Here's a parting gift." The Devil Hunter tossed his coin at the female Demon Hunter. "See ya around." The white haired freelancer winked at the girl who loved him before entering the portal.

As Dante entered the portal to face off against Argosax, who was the former Fallen Angel Calamity and the overlord who was feared to rival even Mundus in power, Priere stood there, waiting for the Devil Hunter to return to her.

"Dante…" Priere couldn't take her mind off the Devil Hunter's kindness, and how willing he was to bet his own life for her sake, the newly turned Overlord then took a closer look at the coin that the white haired freelancer had given her. "What the-" As the female Demon Hunter turned the coin, she saw that both sides were heads. "He tricked me… that jerk!" The aspiring Maiden of Light was furious, but then she remembered how all of the Half Devil's decisions were decided by his gambles with that coin, and how he took on many dangerous jobs for free, knowing this, the red haired girl felt as if she was falling even deeper in love with the red-coated swordsman.

Nero Arc: Anything to protect her

Cover Image: Nero standing between Etna and Rozalin with a spectral blue ghost that resembles Vergil floating behind him.

At the Order of the Sword Research Facility, Nero stood over a defeated Agnus, separated from the rest of the party by a gate and though Etna and Rozalin were In the room, they were blocked by a barrier set up by the mad scientist, one thing that stood out in the laboratory was a white handled O-Katana with its blade broken into two pieces.

"Th-th-th-that's demonic power! How can it be?" Agnus was shocked at the hellish power that emanated from Nero's Devil Bringer, the mad scientist was dumbfounded as to why a human wielded such a dark ability.

"Look who's talking, jackass. Answer my question, what the hell is going on here?" Nero pointed Red Queen against Agnus's throat; the Holy Knight was clearly annoyed with the mad scientist.

"How profound… it's magnificent!" Agnus approached Nero to get a closer look at the Devil Bringer; the mad scientist wore a crazed expression, akin to a deranged child dissecting his first frog.

"Ok, did you even hear me?" Nero swung Red Queen at Agnus, intent on shutting the mad scientist up for good.

"If you want answers, then I shall give them to you." Agnus caught the blade of Nero's Red Queen as he smiled, gleefully awaiting his chance to talk about his research on the demonic sciences. "It has only been a few years since I began this research... Could we isolate and bind demonic power, it could enable us to conquer the world! And that, that is the wish of His Holiness!

"What a crock... And you may as well ditch the efforts pal, because His Holiness is dead." Nero glared at Agnus before raising Red Queen once more; the Holy Knight had enough of the mad scientist's insane ramblings.

"Ahhh, but His Holiness has been reborn, as an Angel!" Agnus 's deranged smile widened as he opened his arms in a dramatic fashion, the mad scientist was clearly pleased with Sanctus's transformation.

"An angel…" Nero sighed; the Holy Knight had a hard time believing that Sanctus had become a celestial guardian, especially coming from the mouth of Agnus, a scientist that worked on demons.

"And soon, soon, so shall I." Agnus bowed out like an actor does to his audience after a play; the mad scientist then looked up to Nero with a sinister smirk on his face.

Nero glanced at Agnus, seeing the insanity and the delusional glee the mad scientist took in his work, but before the Holy Knight could speak, a Bianco Angelo flew from across the room and impaled the Holy Knight to the wall, two more white knights then followed and stuck their lances under the rebellious warrior's arms.

"NERO!" Rozalin screamed, seeing the man she loved suffer such a grave injury was more than she could bear, the Demon Princess clenched her fists in extreme anger as she took out her Noble Rose and shot in vain at the barrier repeatedly as tears formed in the noble blonde's eyes.

"I won't forgive you!" Etna was enraged, seeing Nero, the product of the love she shared with Vergil getting hurt like that, angered the Beauty Queen immensely, the Demon Lord then shot several bolts of dark energy out of her Tyranny spear.

"See what just a small fraction of my research has yielded? Look! How beautiful this white armour stands! You have no idea the hardship to make just one armour come to life. I had to capture and control countless demons to harness their souls. Summoning them alone was almost an insurmountable task!" Agnus described the fruits of his labour in prideful tone; the mad scientist felt very accomplished in his research, the three Bianco Angelos flying behind the crazed genius.

"Summoning… So it was you… who made the gate!?" Nero glared at Agnus, the Holy Knight was enraged at what the mad scientist had done, especially since the demons that terrorized Fortuna entered through the gate.

"Yes, yes, the Hellgate! I created it merely as a reference in substitution for the real Gate, but after utilizing an extremely powerful Devil's Arm, it proved sufficient..." Agnus continued to gloat about his research and the events that led to the fruition of his plan.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Nero asked in a very disrespectful tone, uninterested in Agnus's insane ramblings.

"You should rest." Agnus summoned a Gladius to his hand before stabbing Nero the mad scientist was clearly upset with how disrespectful the Holy Knight was being.

As Nero was stabbed once more, Rozalin and Etna could barely contain themselves, seeing the person both of them loved so dearly at the brink of death, was too much for their hearts to bear.

"You'll pay…" Rozalin glared at Agnus as her eyes turned a blood red and both her hair and skin turned pale, and the Demon Princess now had a seething black aura surrounding her. "I won't forgive you!" The noble girl's voice became far more menacing.

"I'll kill you…" Etna declared coldly, a frightening departure from her usual upbeat attitude, the Beauty Queen's demonic aura now glowing a fiery red from all the rage in her heart.

"Soon you shall be my next subject of experimentation, so that I can learn a little something from you... and that arm." Agnus declared, ignoring the auras produced by Rozalin and Etna out of confidence for his barrier, the mad scientist looked forward to using Nero as a test subject.

"Never…" Nero said defiantly before spitting blood at Agnus's face, determined not to give into the mad scientist.

"T-t-t-take him out!" Agnus was angered by Nero's disrespectful attitude, the mad scientist then ordered his Bianco Angelos to go in for the kill, determined to silence the Holy Knight for good.

Time seemed to cease for Nero as he prepared for his end, but then, another memory returned to the Holy Knight, the memory of the fateful day when his Devil Bringer manifested, this time, he and Rozalin were at Mitis Forest, being attacked by a rogue Overlord that wished to kidnap the Demon Princess to get to her father, the situation was dire and the rebellious swordsman's right arm was broken and he watched the demonic warlord prepare take the girl he loved away.

"Rozalin… run!" Nero called out desperately, unable to move his broken arm, the Holy Knight could do was watch as Rozalin was taken.

"Nero!" Rozalin called out to her knight, the Demon Princess was frightened by the towering Overlord, who was drawing closer by the second.

"Rozalin… Rozalin…!" Nero couldn't bear to see the girl he loved taken away from him, the Holy Knight fought against his pain and walked forward, still determined to stop the Overlord.

"Power… give me more… power!" Vergil's voice echoed in Nero's head, the Dark Slayer recalled the obsession he's had ever since he lost his mother, the apparition then transformed the Holy Knight's broken arm into the Devil Bringer.

"Die!" Nero instinctively extended the Devil Bringer's phantom hand at the Overlord and crushed the demon's head before he could reach Rozalin.

Back to the present, the demonic auras that emanated from Rozalin and Etna started to resonate with Nero's and that of Yamato, the Holy Knight then found himself in the same shadowy realm that he saw in his dreams, and there, staring at him, was the ghostly apparition of Vergil, who wore a cold expression with a hint of kindness.

"Can you hear it?" the ghostly Vergil called out to Nero, as if to test his son's resolve to live. "The cry of a soul…? What is your soul telling you?" The apparition pressed on, staring the Holy Knight dead in the eyes.

"What's yours saying?" Nero pushed the question back at the ghostly Vergil, the Holy Knight wanted to know what motivated his father to fight to the point of losing everything.

"Power… I need more power." The ghostly Vergil gave Nero a smile, confident that his son could achieve what he couldn't. The apparition knew that his son's motivations were far purer than his own.

"Then I'll take that… as well!" Nero gave the ghostly Vergil a determined look, knowing that to protect the people he loves; the Holy Knight needed more power.

With one final smile, the ghostly Vergil placed his hand onto the Devil Bringer, entering the demonic arm and awakening Nero's true powers and infusing his sons with his own. The resonating demonic powers caused the Holy Knight's eyes to glow a blood red and a flaming blue aura to emanate from him, the rebellious swordsman then used his newfound powers to re forge Yamato and blow Agnus away in an explosion of infernal energy, causing the mad scientist to transform into a bug-like demon with four wings, two horns and one red eye.

"How…? Not even I could succeed in restoring it!" Agnus was shocked to see Nero re forge Yamato, something the mad scientist could not do, despite all his research.

"From that day forth... my arm changed... and a voice echoed... "Power... Give me more power!" Nero, now wielding Yamato in his Devil Bringer, approached Agnus, the Holy Knight's eyes now glowing a blood red and a powerful aura that took the form of a blue demonic spectre that wielded a ghostly version of the dark forged o-katana and an organic sheathe that was fixed on the apparition's left forearm, the ghost had what looked like armour and its face showed cold and sunken features.

"What…?" Agnus was still shocked, never has he seen such a strong display of demonic power, the mad scientist never read anything about these situations in any of his texts.

"And if I become a demon, so be it. I will endure the exile. Anything protect her!" The memories of his childhood with Rozalin suddenly flooded into the Nero's mind, now more than ever, the Holy Knight was determined to protect the Demon Princess, the rebellious swordsman then released energy from Yamato in the form of a slash wave, narrowly missing Agnus and cutting the roof.

"Nero…" Rozalin, who was still in her enraged state, couldn't help but blush upon seeing how determined Nero was to protect her.

"It can't be…!" Etna felt Vergil's aura as she gazed upon Nero in his demonic state. The Demon Lord saw the Holy Knight resurrect and wield Yamato, but what caught her attention was the ghostly figure behind her son. "V-Vergil…!

"This is preposterous! Preposterous!" Agnus pointed at Nero, enraged at the supposed impossibility of the Holy Knights power, the mad scientist then flew out of the roof.

The barrier was lifted upon Agnus's retreat and the ghostly Vergil retreated into the Devil Bringer, not before glancing at Etna as Yamato faded into the demonic arm as well. Nero then fell to his knees, both exhilarated and overwhelmed by his newly awakened powers.

"So… this is what being a demon is like, huh?" Nero burst out in hollow laughter, he felt powerful, but the Holy Knight also felt as if he was questioning his sense of self. "This… can't be real." The rebellious swordsman then felt all his memories with Rozalin returning to him.

"Nero!" Rozalin rushed to her childhood friend's side, concerned about the grievous injuries he had suffered and the piercing look in his eyes.

"I remember everything… guess that whole demon thing jogged my memory." Nero smiled at Rozalin, feeling that throughout the immense struggle with his demonic nature, knowing that he saved his precious childhood friend made the Holy Knight feel human. "I sure kept you waiting… Rozie…"

"Nero…" Tears of joy gathered in Rozalin's eyes, the Demon Princess was overcome with joy upon seeing her childhood friend remember all of their loving moments together. "I'm so happy." The noble girl pulled the Holy Knight into a tight hug, never wanting to let go. "You finally remember!"

"I'm never leaving you again, Rozie." Nero smiled at Rozalin, even after travelling with her for so long and having similar moments, the Holy Knight felt that he was truly reunited with his childhood friend and first love. "Look at us; here I am acting all dramatic while you're crying your eyes out," The rebellious swordsman laughed nervously, not knowing how to deal with his situation. "kinda out of character, huh?"

Rozalin closed her eyes with a blush on her face, waiting for Nero to kiss her, under normal circumstances, the Demon Princess would have slapped the Holy Knight for joking at such a serious moment, but now, the noble girl was too happy about their moment to care.

Nero faced Rozalin and placed his left hand on her shoulder, but just as he was about to close the distance between them, the Holy Knight felt Etna's arms around the Devil Bringer.

"Vergil… come out…" Etna tightened her grip on the Devil Bringer, her eyes shadowed by her bangs to hide her clearly anguished expression. "I know you're there, you bastard!" The Demon Lord could no longer hold back her tears, seeing her deceased love after losing him not once, but twice was really taking its toll on the Beauty Queen's heart.

Nephilim Arc: The Broken Mask

Cover Image: Vergil standing between Fuka and Desco, the background being the Order Mask cracked in half.

After taking a hit meant for the distracted Fuka, Vergil's mask was shattered and the former Masked Man tried in vain to cover his face, but the UnPrinny and Desco had already seen his face.

"V-Vergil?!" Fuka was shocked beyond belief, seeing the man she thought dead for three years standing right before her was like a dream within her twisted 'dream.' "Is that you!?"

"Mr. Vergil!" Desco was shocked as well, though she had just seen the white haired Nephilim recently, she took Fuka's words about his death to heart.

"You're not gettin' outta this one, bro." Dante smirked at Vergil, the Demon Killer wanted to tell Fuka much earlier, but for his twin brother's sake, he kept the secret, despite seeing how much the UnPrinny missed the Order leader.

"Ay, my pupil the playboy." Sam shook him head, seeing the clear affection in Fuka and Desco's eyes. "I taught you to be a killer, but not a lady-killer." The cyborg ninja laughed at Vergil's expense.

"Fuka… Desco… I…" Ignoring Dante and Sam, Vergil tried to think of the best thing to say to the two girls that loved him, but before he could continue, he was interrupted by the force of the UnPrinny's bat to his face. "What the hell!?" The white haired Nephilim was shocked by the sudden act of violence on the brown haired middle schooler's part.

"You jerk!" Fuka tackled Vergil before giving him a tight hug, crying her eyes out as she remembered the lonely nights that passed ever since the Order leader's 'death'. "Why the hell did you lie to me!? If you were alive… why didn't you tell me!?"

"You're so mean, Mr. Vergil!" Desco rushed to the Order leader's side, crying her eyes out just like Fuka. The Supposed Final Boss hugged the white haired Nephilim as well. "Never leave Desco again!"

"That fool deserved the abuse…" Fenrich closed his eyes before crossing his arms, feeling no sympathy for Vergil's awkward situation.

"Indeed, lying and breaking promises, he truly dug his own grave." Valvatorez nodded in agreement to Fenrich's statement, the former Tyrant agreed to help Vergil's cause, but despised his secretive nature.

"Man, I'd really hate to be him right now…." Emizel shuddered at the sight os someone as calculated as Vergil at the mercy of Fuka and Desco. "Women are scary…"

"I'm sorry…" Vergil held Fuka and Desco closer, seeing their sad faces mad the Order leader think about how he had hurt them by leaving. "It must have been hard for you… but I did all this to protect you, because I love you…"

Fuka and Desco both blushed upon hearing this, Vergil, the man that they loved the kind person in their lives that showered them with love and affection, was finally professing his love to them.

"Because you're family…" Vergil smiled at Fuka and Desco, though he knew that meeting them set his plan back, the Order leader was very happy to see the UnPrinny and the Supposed Final Boss. "My cute little sisters…"

Suddenly, both Fuka and Desco let go of Vergil, their eyes shadowed by their bangs, the sisters now looked extremely angry at the Order leader.

"So… after all these years… I'm just a "cute little sister" to you?" Fuka balled her hands into fists, now glaring at Vergil with a raging intensity; the fact that the white haired Nephilim still kept his love for the UnPrinny strictly familial angered her. "What the hell!?"

"Fuka…? What's wrong?" Vergil gave the UnPrinny a puzzled look, unable to figure out why she was so upset with him.

"Desco loves Mr. Vergil so much… but he doesn't see her as a woman…" The Supposed Final Boss shook with rage, like Fuka, the purple haired girl was very angry at the Order leader's stance on their relationship. "Desco is really mad now!"

"This is one hell of a family reunion, eh brother?" Dante smirked, seeing Vergil's troubles with his love-struck step sisters amused the Demon Killer to no end, though he did not show it, the black haired Nephilim was happy for both Fuka and Desco.

Next chapter of the Nero Arc will feature Sapphire and Nero's past.

Now to answer my reviewers

Zero-Nightmare

Thanks!

Next chapter's flashback is gonna be one hell of a stressful situation for Nero.

This is gonna make travelling very awkward for them!

Let's hope he does, given both their yandere tendencies.

On the next Disgaea 3 centred chapter, Dante is bound to get into all sorts of shenanigans!

Thanks and good work on your excerpts, two were used in this chapter.

Demons Parade

Nero's in for a world of hurt, especially when Yukimaru is introduced. Vergil's love for Etna caused him a fair share of headaches and I'll work on the next chapter.

The Sparda Arc is being worked on and don't worry, Zenon will kiss Sparda at some point… if Pram lets her.

Absolute Chaos

Indeed and things only go downhill for him from there. I hope you enjoyed this chapter; I had this review in mind when I wrote it.

KO

Sounds awesome
