KT walked into the clearing, clapping her paws together.
"Alright, StarClan, I need a word!" she called out, sitting down.
Seconds later, Bluestar poked her head through a bush. "Yeah? What is it?"
"Go fetch Yellowfang, Lionheart and the etcetera gang, we need to talk."
Bluestar nodded confusedly and bounded off. Kt waved her silver tail around as she waited, singing only the first verse, chorus and rap of Walk Without The Stars to herself, which was very illegal as she was in the starry domain at that moment. Did she care? Not at all.
Soon enough Bluestar came with probably most of The Prophecies Begin ThunderClan that were dead and sat down opposite her as the author stood up.
"Alright folks, I have an announcement to make. I need you to co-operate with this one, 'kay? We need you guys to stop being the cats who deliver prophecies."
There were yowls of disagreement following this, followed by a shrill whistle from KT. "I THOUGHT I ASKED YOU TO COOPERATE SHUT UP AND LISTEN!"
The cast fell silent and the author smiled again. "Right, thank you. Now, all of you, especially Yellowfang, have delivered way too many prophecies. Take Jayfeather for example, he had probably barely heard of you because Squirrelflight wasn't alive at your time, yet he was stuck with you as his snarky ghost companion every time he received a prophecy, the other person being Rock. Now, I won't complain about Rock, because he was there to connect Jayfeather to the Ancient Tribe, but instead of you, wouldn't someone like Feathertail have been more helpful? Surely with his foster mother being Squirrelflight, who went on the journey with her, he would have heard loads of good stuff about the poor she-cat, but no, he gets a cantankerous old badger like you, and that's in your own words!"
The StarClan cats were speechless.
"And what about Leafpool? She's a medicine cat and his mother for StarClan's sake! Those are literally the two things -as well as former leader- that decide who your StarClan prophecy deliverer will be!"
"Wait, how do you know Leafpool died?" Whitestorm asked, raising his paw, "You've barely started Thunder and Shadow."
KT blinked. "This is a very large community of spoilers."
Now it was Whitestorm's turn to blink. "Wait, there are others? Who are-"
"ANYWAY, on with the rant." she cleared her throat, "There are also a heck of a ton of random but lovely background characters that died that would have been great candidates. If Lionheart and Whitestorm usually accompany Bluestar for delivering prophecies, then why not someone younger who the recipients actually know and grieved for? Sorreltail? Seedpaw? Honeyfern? Foxleap? Ferncloud? Ambermoon (did she die? idk)? Icecloud? Hollyleaf? Like, I know it states in Bramblestar's Storm (which can be shortened to BS which perfectly sums up Bramblestar himself) somewhere (i think) that she thought she didn't deserve to give him a life, but for StarClan's sake, Ashfur is in StarClan! If you can be there after actual murder, and he is only there for attempted murder -and he didn't even physically hurt anyone- then you deserve to be there."
Once again, the StarClan cats couldn't talk.
"Even Mousefur could be the new cranky badger! So, all in all, I think ya'll should stop delivering prophecies and speaking with medicine cats and relax, because they don't even know you and you don't know them properly, so soothing them doesn't have the same effect as it would if say Hollyleaf came down to give Jayfeather a prophecy!"
And then KT calmed back down again, fur flattening. "Thank you all for listening. I do hope you consider the things I have spoken to you about, because do you wanna have a bad time? Ight, goodbye."
And so the silver-and-golden-brown she-cat turned around walked away, back down her starry staircase and into the living world where she sat down and continued trying to finish the newest chapter of One in Five. The StarClan cats were left gaping at the now-empty spot in silence. Then, finally, Whitestorm shook his head.
"That pelt colour isn't even possible."
Hehe
So ye, I was bored, and I wanted to rant about the prophecies, so here. About two to five minutes of your life that you'll never get back.
I'm pretty sure Moonkitti might have covered something similar to this before but I wanted to add more points
I highly doubt the Erins will find this but if they are reading this right now, then hi! I have a tip.
If anyone wants to continue on this but like "When [author's name] is Bored" and rant about something else, then feel free. Start the Corona challenge, I dare you.
I also have a poll on my profile about rewriting Clouded Dusk if anyone wants to go and check that out and vote.
Okidoke, enjoy the rest of your day, I won't keep you any longer
Try not to die
~KT
