(LOS)
Yawning, I casually walk to my car. Opening my door, I pause then step in. I slam the door and buckle myself in. This was the end of another long work week.
I aggressively lipsync the words of I Will Survive, as it plays off my phone. There aren't many cars out on the road so this was perfect for me to take my sweet old time.
In the corner of my eye, I somehow spot a white dog on the side of the road. I pull over and shift my car into park. I unbuckle myself and get out. Upon closer inspection, the dog which now looked like a wolf had its left hind leg wedged in between the fencing. It was clearly on someone's property and I didn't really want to disturb them.
I cautiously step closer to the white wolf and it locks eyes with me. I freeze and take a deep breath. If this wild animal was going to attack me, I had no plan at all. Might as well die to Mother Nature's children while I'm at it.
Its wild amber eyes, stare back at me. It let out a huff and turns its head to the fence. I sigh and take a few steps forward. I get to the side of the wolf and spot a small piece of wood, sticking out of its leg. I suck a breath in and grab ahold of the wolf's leg. I look back, watching me curiously.
I mentally count to three and close my eyes. Then I yank the wolf's leg out. I get up and stare back at the wolf. It glances back at me then limps away into the forest. I want to help it but that's as much as I can do.
I lazily wake up and roll out of bed. I head to the bathroom and do my business. For some odd reason I could have sworn I heard paws clicking against the floor. Was I dreaming? I'm sure I'm wide awake now, well almost.
After I finish ripping through my hair, I turn the bathroom light off and exit. Then at the corner of my eye, I see the same wolf from last night. Oh my god! How did this thing get inside my house?! I made sure all the doors were locked last night. Wait, did I?
The wolf tilts its head as I slowly move away from it. I cautiously walk to the refrigerator and open it. I turn my head and see it inch closer. I quickly pull a container of leftover beef stew out and place it on the counter. I open the lid and toss a piece of cold beef at it. The wolf stares at it and licks its jaws. Oh my god...it doesn't want food. It wants me!
I place the container back into the fridge and close the door. Taking a deep breath, I walk to the other end of the counter and watch the wolf. The wolf solemnly stares back then turns around, disappearing into my house. Oh hell no! I wasn't going to let this wild beast stay here!
I quietly follow the noise of its footsteps on the wooden floor. After a few minutes of searching, I hear the creaking of a door. I quickly check my hallway then my room. There was no one. Now I'm paranoid!
I hear the sound of footsteps and freeze. Gulping, I slowly turn my head. Behind me stood the weirdest most attractive man I had ever seen.
He has these brown pants and a long dark blue coat of some sort. His coat was open in the front, exposing his chest. Around his arms are a pair of gauntlets that cover his long sharp claws? His skin looks pale and his hair is long and white. It almost resembles silk. His amber eyes bore into mine.
I turn my body and find myself ogling at him. Oh god...what's wrong with me?
"I'm sorry about scaring you. I wanted to thank you for saving me."
I open my mouth then close it. That wolf was him? Wait what the hell was this guy? Who is he? How did he get into my house?!
I blink then avert my eyes. I look back at him and raise an eyebrow. "How...did you get into my house in the first place? Did you follow my car?" I question, folding my arms.
The man shakes his head while sucking his teeth and sighing.
"I'd rather not say," he pauses then his eyes dart to the side, "I know this is odd if I ask you but, will you be alright if I stay here?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me.
I hesitant then my eyes widen. If his skin color looks that then, oh my god! There's no way those things exist. Do they? "Are you what I think you are?" I ask, stammering on my words. He looks at me and sighs. "Yes, I am indeed a vampire. That's not the point-"
"Are you out of your damn mind? What makes you think I'd let you feast off me?!" I protest, cutting him off. His jaw drops then he sighs, placing his claw on his face. "Will you try to at least understand? I'm not trying to do that" he answers.
"Fine. Why are you here?" I question, glancing down at his odd gothic attire.
"It's a rather personal reason. But I beg of you. I promise not to meddle with anything. It's just for a short while" he answers, rubbing the back of his neck.
I mischievously grin, "Fine I guess. I'll let you stay but only because you're sexy" I murmur.
He furrows his brow and stares at me. "Hm? What was that? I couldn't quite hear you" he asks, gazing at me.
I roll my eyes, "Nothing. Just try to respect my personal space, okay? Anyway, what's your name?" I ask. He hesitates, watching me lean up against the kitchen wall. "Maybe later. I need something to snack on" he says, eyeing me.
I groan then facepalm, "Are you kidding me? Do you even shit?"
