Miranda was in the attending's lounge getting ready for her date with Ben. It was Saturday and she only had to go in to do one surgery so she was done by twelve thirty. When she rolled over this morning, she saw the note Ben left on the night stand.
Dear Miranda, I'm taking you on a date this afternoon. As soon as you get done with surgery, get dressed and meet me in the lobby. Don't worry about your car. We will come back for it. Wear something comfortable and sexy, you know how you do. We will be outside the entire date. I had an early morning so I didn't wake you but I can't wait to see you later .

When Ben asked her to move in, she was scared. She felt like it was going to fast. She didn't want to loose this man. He made her feel alive and he made her see that other than Tuck, Tucker was never the man she was supposed to be with. Ben was a real man who adores her, her body and her feeling. It made her see that her and Tucker moved to fast when they were younger and she didn't want to do that again. Thinking about it now and how scared she was back then, made Miranda laugh. It has Ben two months since then and she can't think of coming home and sleeping at night any other way.
Miranda continued putting her make up on and her dark pink lipstick. She took her hair and brush it back into a ponytail and left a bang in the front. She then went and put on a dark jean bodycon dress and some tan brown boots. It was fall and Miranda loved this weather. It was just the right temperature and it was beautiful here in Seattle when the leaves turned different colors. Back home on the east coast, the leaves did the same but you would never know what weather you were going to get.
Miranda then put a scarf around her neck to match her boots and finished her outfit by putting on jewelry. She was trying to hurry, she didn't want anyone to catch her last minute and ask her to do surgery. Miranda grabbed her purse and was getting ready to walk out the door. " Okay sexy. Bailey where are you going?" Callie asked. Miranda laughed and turned towards her best friend. " Ben is taking me on a date. " Miranda blushed and smiled. "Oooh where ?" Callie asked sitting down in one of the chairs. "I don't know, but he said it was out doors." Miranda replied sitting down beside her.
" Aww he is so sweet, so how is it living together?" Callie asked. Miranda smiled. " Actually, I love it. I love coming home and it already feels like it's been warmed up, dinner is done and he is in the kitchen, because he knows I can't cook." Miranda put her hand on her head laughing. " If I'm going to be late, he picks Tuck up from daycare and when I come home they are talking about cars and transformers, laughing and playing….Tuck sits in the chair and watches as he makes dinner. It the cutest thing." Miranda smiled and thought some more. " After I left Tucker, I got use to sleeping in the bed alone and I thought I liked that but girl when I get out of that shower and see him in the bed sleep or waiting for me, it just brings out a different kind of happiness. I mean even if we are on different schedules and when he comes home I'm sleep. He gets in the bed and throws his arm around my body and pulls me close to him. I feel like I get the best sleep with my legs entangled with his." Miranda said and nothing could hide the smile that was plastered on her face. " Miranda I am so happy for you . Sooo how is the sex ? Because you my friend are glowing." Callie asked with a sly smile and an arched eyebrow. " Oh it's-its impeccable." Miranda said as her and Callie busted into a fit of laughter.
Miranda's phone vibrated and she looked down to see that Ben text her. "Oh man I'm late." Miranda said getting up, grabbing her purse and walking to the door. " Bye Bailey. Call me when you get done, I wanna know where you went." Callie said getting up. "okay, but it might be tomorrow, depending on if we have a night session. I'll see you Monday." Miranda said blushing and walking out the door. Miranda walked to the elevator and press the button. When it opened up she stepped in and waited for it to close. Someone put their hands in and blocked the elevator door from closing.
"Whew I almost missed it. " The man said. " Yeah that was a close one. Miranda said putting her phone inside her purse. She pushed her hair out of the way. "Hi, I'm Doctor Joseph Williams. " He said extending his hand. " Dr. Miranda Bailey." she said with a smile and shook his hand. She looked him up and down and he was tall and handsome. She saw him looking at her too but of course she wasn't interested. When the door opened up, she exited off and started waking to the exit. "Hey Miranda." Joseph called out. Miranda turned around and looked at him. " I don't mean to be too forward, but you are a beautiful women and I would love for us to maybe go out sometime or grab a cup of coffee." He said smiling. "Um Dr. Williams I'm flattered but I actually have to turn you down. Because I'm in a relationship and I have a wonderful boyfri-" Miranda was saying but was cut off.
" boyfriend, which is me." Ben said from behind her. Miranda turned around and eyed him and then turned back to Williams and mouthed I'm sorry. "It's okay. Have a great day ." Joseph said. "You too." Ben and Miranda said at the same time. " Benjamin Warren, why would you do that. Embarrassed that poor man, I feel bad for him. " Miranda said holding his hand and intertwining their fingers. " Well I don't. And I was just letting him know. " Ben shrugged his shoulders. "Next time I will do it and let them down easy." Miranda grabbed his face and brought his lips to hers. She pecked his lips three times. " You know, you would have done the same if it was me." Ben said laughing. " No I would have been worse, I would have cut her off in the middle of her sentence and asked you if you were ready to go, grabbed your hand and kissed you on the lips. Before looking over at her and asked you who was this, acting like I didn't even notice she was talking to you. " Miranda said seriously and she laughed at herself. Ben laughed shaking his head " come on let's go. Ben said as they walked to the door. He opened her side of the car door and watched her slid in. Ben got in and started driving. Miranda turned on the radio and they both began to sing. " Miranda, what do you know about Tupac?" Ben asked looking over at her before turning his eyes back to the road. "Ben, I don't live under a rock. You know I like poetry and he is poetic in some of his songs before he did gangsta rap. " Miranda said turning it up.
When they pulled up. Miranda looked out the window and saw it was the carnival. She looked over at Ben and smiled. She felt like a teenager going on a date. " You like it ?" Ben asked. "I like the fact that I'm about to whoop your ass in skee ball, unmercifully" Miranda said smirking and getting out . " Oh yeah your on." Ben said getting out of the car. He grabbed her hand and walked to the booth. Ben bought both of them wrist bands for unlimited games and rides and to skip lines. "You look beautiful Miranda Bailey." Ben said looking down at her. "Thank you honey." Miranda said as she lead him to the skee ball game. The attending at the station scanned their bands and they walked over to the two game lane. They pressed play and the balls flew out. Miranda and Ben laughed and threw balls in to the holes. "How are you only hitting the hundreds spot?" Ben asked looking over at Miranda. "I'm a surgeon Duh. I can do hand and eye coordination in my sleep." Miranda said smiling and rolling the balls up the lane.
When the game was over, Miranda had won "see I told you I would whoop your ass. " Miranda said laughing and smiling. " The only reason you beat me is because you have surgical skills." Ben said grabbing the tickets out if the machine. " Dam good surgical skills. " Miranda said and grabbed his hand as they walked around. " Ooooo a photo booth, come on Ben let's take some pictures." Miranda said walking over to the booth and going inside. Ben joined her and they got started. The first one they smiled together holding hands. The second one Ben kissed her check and Miranda stuck her tongue out. The third one Ben and her shared a kiss and the fourth they did a silly face. When they were done, they printed it out twice "I loves these" Miranda said as she put it in her purse. She was having so much fun with Ben. She would have never thought about going to a carnival, other than if Tuck were to ask .
Ben and her went to the concessions to get something to eat. Miranda ordered a hot dog and French fries and Ben ordered a burger. They sat down in the eating area and began to eat. Ben and Miranda was talking about their family and their background. There wasn't much that they haven't told each other already but they shared other personal details of their life. Miranda was in a happy place , Ben was her happy place and honestly; She wouldn't know what to do if he ever went away or they didn't work out.
Next Ben and Miranda did a pumpkin carving. Ben carved their name in to the pumpkin with hearts and Miranda made a big rose on the pumpkin. Ben showed her his pumpkin "aww , baby what are we gonna do with these. Now?" Miranda asked. "We let them dry out and then we make them our center piece for the dinning table. " Ben said standing up and reaching for her hand. "That's a good idea. "Miranda said she looked up and saw that it was getting dark. " Come on let's get on the Ferris wheel. Miranda and Ben walked to the front of the line. The man opened the gate as the empty chair was coming down. Ben let Miranda go first and she got into the cart. Ben followed behind her and got in . The man came and let the bar down, locking it. The wheel began to start turning and they reached the top. "Wow this is beautiful." Miranda said looking at the lights in the darkness of the night. " Yeah this really is a beautiful site." Ben said staring at her. Miranda nudged him in his arm. " Your so crazy Ben warren, I'm talking about the lights from up here. " Miranda said laughing. " And I'm talking about you up here." Ben said kissing her on the cheek.
Miranda laid her head on his chest and looked at the view some more. Ben pulled out his phone and pulled up his camera. Miranda turned her head, still laying on his chest and she smiled. Ben smiled and snapped the photo. "Ben promise me that we will always be like this." Miranda said into his neck. "I can't promise you that it will always be like this. Because like every couple we will have out ups and downs but what I can promise is that I will never ever give up on you. You are my end game Miranda." Ben said kissing her on the top of her head. Miranda sat up and looked him in the eyes. She leaned in to him, not breaking eye contact. " I love you." Miranda said as she connected her lips to his. Ben grabbed the back of her head and kissed her passionately, sucking on her bottom lip. He loved to bite and pull it with his teeth. Both of them thought back to their first kiss. They were at Ben's house which is now their house. They were so in sync that their brains were playing back the same memory and they didn't even know it.
"Oh, no concern we will end up just friends." Miranda asked swirling her fingers around her wine glass. "Is that what you want ?" Ben asked looking her in the eyes. "No" Miranda said seriously. " Me either, Look I don't wanna be your friend. I have enough friends" Ben said as he leaned over and kissed her. Miranda leaned in and kissed him . The kiss was so passionate and he sucked on her bottom lip like he was doing now. She put her hands on his chest and kissed him with everything she had in her.
When the ride was over. They broke apart and Ben grabbed her hand as they walked off. Miranda and Ben grabbed a candy apple on the way out. Miranda opened hers and began to lick it and bite it. Ben stared out the corner of his eye. When they got to the car Ben walked to her side of the car with her. " Can I taste ?" Ben asked licking his lips. "Huh." Miranda said holding her apple to his lips. Ben shook his head. "That's not what I want to taste." He grabbed her arm and put her hand down and pulled her close. Ben smashed his lips against hers and he moaned at the taste of her and the candied apple. Miranda dropped her apple to the ground. And she wrapped arms around his neck. She whined because she actually wanted that apple. " You can have mine." Ben said in between devouring her mouth. He reached down and lifted her leg up and wrapped it around his waist.
Her dressed hiked up and she was sure all of her thighs were exposed. She felt Ben's hard on against her core. " Wait- if we are gonna do this here, can we ad least get in the car with the tented windows and lean the seat back. I'm not trying to get arrested for indecent exposure." Miranda said pushing Ben off and pulling her dress down. "Seriously You really gonna let me take you right here, right now." Ben asked with disbelief. " I said it didn't I, now get in the car and lean the seat back before I change my mind. " Miranda said opening the car door. " Man I fucking love you. " Ben said smiling. " You better , because I'm about to take you on the best ride of our life" Miranda responded seductively.
