Anna walked up to Kristoffs run down car and opened the front seat passenger door. "Hey." She said sweetly. Kristoff scanned her, and blushed a little bit. He couldn't deny she looked beautiful in that sun dress. "Hey." He replies in a grumbly voice.

"Ah! I'm so excited!" Anna chirped as they descended on the road. Kristoff looked at her a bit through the rear view mirror and smiled, then nervously looked away. "Uh- well- a little forewarning though... My family can be a little crazy, and inappropriate... and loud. Very very loud. And-"

"They sound great Kristoff. Trust me! I'm excited."

He smiled again and gave a quiet sigh of relief. She could tell he was a little worried.

He parked on the side of the house, and the two of them got out of the car.

"Kristoff! Anna! You're here!" A motherly voice said from the front door. Anna jogged over to Bulda's open arms and gave her a big hug. Bulda then turned over and gave Kristoff a big hug as well, which made him turn a little red.

"It's a little- hectic in there, so you'll definitely be entertained. Come on in dear!" She placed her palm on Anna's back and gently led her inside as Kristoff led the way.

One thing was for sure, and that was He definitely had a big family. As she entered, many of them turned their heads to look at her, knowing she was an unfamiliar face. "Everyone, this is Anna." Bulda practically announced. Anna gave a little wave as her cheeks reddened a little bit.

She felt a gentle pull at the bottom of her dress. "Remember me Anna Banana?" She giggled and gently patted his head. "Of course I do Tiny!"

Kristoff picked up little Tiny. "Personal Space much?"

Anna laughed and shook her head. "Oh leave him alone, he's just playing around. Aren't you Tiny?"

Kristoff put Tiny down and one his relatives punched his arm playfully. "Finally you brought home a promising girl!"

He turned a bright shade of red. "No no, She's not-"

"-Oh she's so pretty too!" Someone else said. The two were practically surrounded by curious family members.

"We're just frien-"And she's wearing a ring?!" A relative practically shrieked. Anna's eyes widened and she quickly hid her left hand behind her back. The whole family bursted into a frenzy at the news, many scolding Kristoff for not telling them sooner, and asking Anna all the questions in the book. She looked over at him, and he looked as if he was going to explode from anger, or embarrassment. Maybe both.

"She is engaged to someone else, okay?!" Kristoff practically roared, rendering everyone, including Anna speechless.

Bulda broke the silence with nervous laughter. "Hey hey, dinners almost ready, why don't y'all get seated?"

Practically everyone except for Anna and Kristoff rushed to their seats for dinner. Kristoff couldn't even look her in the eye.

"Anna, I am so so sorry."

She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and smiled. "It's okay, really. Let's go sit down."

They sat next to each other on the big table.

The air smelled amazing, no doubt Bulda was a great cook.

"You sure you don't want to make a run for it?" Kristoff whispered to her. Anna kicked his foot. "Ow!"

"That's what you get."

Kristoff laughed softly. "I love it here. Despite all of the embarrassment engagement confusion." She whispered to him playfully.

Bulda served a bunch of different dishes, all looking and smelling amazing. Anna filled her plate and quickly began stuffing her face. "This is sooo good Bulda! Thank you!"

"Aw, no problem dear, have as much as you like."

One of Kristoffs older relatives nudged Anna's arm. "So, Anna. Why are you holding back from such a man?"

She raised an eyebrow and chewed quickly before answering. "Uh- what?"

Kristoff's eyes widened. This could not get more embarrassing for him.

"Is it because of the clumpy way he walks?"

Nope, it definitely could.

Anna burst into a laughter, glanced at Kristoff's annoyed face, and tried to stop. She couldn't.

"Is it because he's-" Their volume changed to a whisper. "-Socially impaired."

"Hey, that's not true!" Kristoff whined while trying to cover his red face.

A relative seated next to him pinched his cheeks. "He just acts grumpy to cover up that he's so sensitive and sweet!"

"Awe." Anna said with a half smile. Kristoff rubbed his sore cheeks and returned the smile.

After dinner, practically all of Kristoff's relatives scrambled to the back yard to play some music.

One of his cousins grabbed him by the shoulder and messed up his hair. "Hey! I got your old guitar cous! How about you play a little something while your friend is over."

"No way. I haven't played in years, I'm rusty."

"You play guitar?" Anna asked with a grin spreading across her face. His cousin saw this and smirked. "...No."

"Yeah he does."

"Come on, just one song? For me?" Anna pleaded, batting her eyelashes ever so slightly.

"Yeah, juuuust one song?" His cousin seconded annoyingly.

Kristoff let out a long sigh, and roughly grabbed his old acoustic guitar from his cousins arms. Anna's face lit up and she gave a little clap as he made his way to the little platform in the backyard.

"You got this!" Anna cheered enthusiastically as he seated himself on the tall stool. Practically the whole family gathered around to listen to Kristoff play.

Kristoff was a little nervous, which made him sweat a bit. He didn't want to make a fool of himself, especially in front of Anna. He took his time tuning his aged acoustic guitar, then when the time came he glanced at Anna. She gave him an encouraging, warm grin and Kristoff blushed a little in return.

He began strumming a little tune that he had learned a while back. The song sounded romantic almost, and it definitely captivated the whole audience. Anna was practically at the edge of her seat. The music flowed throughout the whole backyard, and Kristoff did not miss a beat. It was almost hard to believe he hadn't played in years. As soon as he played the last note, Anna and his whole family gave him a standing ovation, with loud cheering. A toothy smile spread across his red face.

A few hours passed of listening to music and chatting with Kristoff's relatives and Anna grew a little tired. She yawned continuously as she said her goodbyes and gave hugs all around.

Kristoff and Anna, now alone in his car, were on the way to her apartment building.

"That was so much fun! You have to invite me to all of these." She told Kristoff.

He cracked a smile. "I'm glad you liked it."

"You're a great musician. I didn't know you were so talented."

"Psh- no! I...uh-" Kristoff became a little flustered whilst behind the wheel. "Uh...thanks Anna."

"You're welcome."Anna smiled and looked out the car window.

"You made up for it by the way." She added.

"What?" He look at her through the rear view mirror, while she wasn't noticing.

"You made up for the other day. I forgive you."

"Oh," he laughed a little bit. "Yeah, I almost forgot about that. I wish you didn't have to bring it up. I acted like such a jackass."

"It's okay, really. Though, you haven't told me why you were acting so weird that day."

Kristoff shrugged. Anna knew he didn't want to talk about it. But she wanted to know.

"Come on, there has to be a reason." Anna pushed.

The car pulled over and stopped by the apartment and parking lot.

"And we're here." Kristoff said hoping to get off the topic.

"Hey come on, I want to know. You said you would tell me." Anna crossed her arms.

He sighed and brushed his hair back with his fingers.

"It's late, just go home."

"Walk me to my apartment?"

The two entered the lobby of her apartment building and approached the stairwell.

"Kristoff, why did you act the way you did yesterday?"

He groaned and looked at her with a pained face. "Anna can you just let it go?"

Her eyebrows creased together. "You said you would tell me."

Kristoff inhaled sharply and stopped going up the stairs. "I don't know okay?!"

"How do you not know? You were clearly bothered. Listen; I care about you so I just want to know what's wrong." Anna said almost matching his volume.

"I just don't kn-"You don't know what Kristoff?"

"I don't know how I feel about you!" He yelled impulsively. Anna's eyes widened and her cheeks flushed.

The two stared at each other for a beat, breathless.

"Every time that prick grabs you, and kisses you, and shows you off- it drives me crazy. You, drive me crazy Anna."

Anna's heart dropped.

"Kristoff, I..,"

I don't feel the same way. I can't, right? I mean, there's an obvious- connection, and feeling- but that's... that's not..

"That's not fair." Anna said emotionally. Her eyes slightly tearing up. "what?"

"That's not fair. I...I was so close, to getting married, having a settled life, having someone who loved me, and who couldn't shut me out. And now I... I'm with you, and everything just feels ...different. Things aren't supposed to feel different. I'm supposed to already have found my true love- for hells sake I'm engaged, but with you right now, I feel like there's something between us and that's not suppo-"

Kristoff pressed his lips against Anna's. He held her close against his body. Her eyes widened in pure shock, and she honestly contemplated slapping him, but after a couple of seconds her eyes closed on their own. Something about their kiss felt so natural, so long awaited. As if they both wanted to do it for so long but couldn't. She never felt like this while kissing Hans. Anna wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened their kiss as he ran his fingers through her red hair. Soon the two lost track of their time in the stairwell. As soon as they finished their satisfying kiss, the two couldn't get their eyes of each other. There was a clear desire and need for each other.
