"Ah your awake"

Sirius smiled placing down the paper he had been reading and looking up at a tired lupin.

"Ok... I guess"

Lupin half smiled trying to forget about the nightmare from the night before.

He pulled out a seat at the empty table and sat down smiling.

"So, how... how are you alive!!"

He was still in shock, he saw him die... how was Sirius sitting beside him... in PERSON.

"It's a long story for another day, you need to rest... "

Sirius dished up some food for lupin as the two sat in silence.

"So... How have things been... you know with the world, what's been happening "

Lupin reached for the paper as he spoke, curious about how the world was recovering.

"NO, DON'T... I'm sorry I-I just think... you shouldn't"

He recoils his arm as Sirius snatches the paper away trying to hide the article on Tonks... but to late.

"I-Its ab-out h-h-her isn't it-t"

Lupin stuttered suddenly feeling a pressure come down on him.

"No... No..."

He froze... unable to bare the memory of them.

Suddenly the images of them dying flashed before his eyes.

" NO... YOU CAN'T ... not them... please don't"

Lupin was unaware of the world around him sweat drenching his body in a matter of seconds. His heart rate quickened and suddenly everything went black.

"NOT THEM!!!"

Lupin jolted awake completely soaked in sweat looking around the room. What time was it. He had seen them die again.

Quickly he got out of bed, looking around... It was dark outside and obviously some time after midnight.

He had no memory of anything after breakfast, he must have passed out.

He walked out the room and up the stairs into the attic.

Hoping not to wake up Sirius as he went by his room.

Eventually he made it to the attic where he found Buckbeak.

He sat down beside his wrapping his arms around his neck, appreciating the magnificent beast that had saved his life the other night.

" I see your awake "

Lupin looked up... Sirius was standing at the doorway.

"I-I'm sorry if I woke you up... I just couldn't sleep"

"It's fine"

Lupin felt a tear slowly fall down his eye and in an instant his friend was hugging him.

He felt soothed by his touch, his strong embrace and the sound of his breath. Slowly Lupin drifted off to sleep resting his head of Sirius's should.

A/NHopefully that made some sense as it has been over a year since I last wrote a chapter for this. Sorry for any spelling mistakes that may have been made as I do try and check it but some will be missed.
