Chapter 9
(author notes. After seeing my own work posted I have felt like I tried to force too much to happen. I blame the fact that I am using the anime shows and every episode cram something new in. that being said I want to try and slow down by making the chapters longer, some of this will be adding multiple episodes per chapter if I think it's doable. I will likely skip a few episodes later on if I feel like it is going to slow. I will not rewrite as I feel its good to have it as a reminder. Honestly its just too much of a hassle. I will update as I finish each chapter since I plan to make them longer. If dialog feels weird let me know and I may try to see if I can adapt. Also, the starting at ten was and still is a jab towards the fact that Ash is eternally ten years old. Also levels are really only there to say roughly when a Pokémon learns a move and how to determine in it is and adult, I say any Pokémon around level twenty is similar to teen and above thirty is good for and adult; physically not mentally.)
It was considered a rite of passage for officials, friends, and families to gather and say farewell to new trainers, this was out of a tradition that some may never return. Only one fifth of the children who turned ten received a trainer's license and among those who passed it was common for most to stay near the city they were born in for the first few years. Besides the occasional rare Pokémon most trainers wouldn't catch everything they see either. Out of a respect for the environment, Pokémon that were common to an area were only caught if one intended to train them with the exception of a few quests given to trainers to maintain the ecosystem by the league, these would be held onto and either trained for rangers by the various gyms or sold to beginners as starters.
Regional leagues were held every three years and required eight approved badges to enter, at least four had to be from Official Gyms. Official Region Gyms were Audited every five years to maintain both the image and strength of the region. Official gyms were based on the types the leader specialized in and they would often receive Pokémon to train for rangers. The strength of the Pokémon a gym trainer used was based on how many badges the challenger had with the exception of three gyms all had an assortment of Pokémon to use to help with the classification of a trainer's strength. 0-2 badges are considered beginners 3-5 intermediate and any above 6 could be called advanced.
Official badges were good for six years after the issue date meaning if one got all the eight official badges they wouldn't need to requalify to participate in the following regional league. Approved badges came from gyms that were at least intermediate in strength and would not receive Pokémon or funding from the league beyond food and badges. If an official Gym was found to be abusing their power, they would be striped of their qualification for ten years. This meant that any of their badges would cease to be effective the following league tournament and either a new leader would replace them if the leader owed the league money for renovations on the gym or a tournament would be held for Approved Gyms in order to choose a replacement.
Gyms could not prevent licensed trainers from entering a gym, but they could require tests to be challenged as long as the League approved. If a quota of challengers was not met this could mean the gym would be audited to see if changes needed to be made or if the gym need to be demoted from and Official Gym to an Approved gym. Beating an Official Gym also came with a reward if you won the prize money was based on Badges one had after winning, base winning addition of number of Pokémon used compared to leader multiplication, unevolved Pokémon bonus, weakness bonus, and number of tried bonus. (Author note; Due to the fact that money will not be overly relied upon I will limit most of how winnings are decided and just give some facts as I feel like it. If you can figure it out, good for you otherwise you can ignore it.)
(B#X1000) = w W+(WX%) +bonus
Example trainer won against second Official Gym leader using one against three final evolution no type disadvantage. winnings are 3200P if it was Three versus three final evolutions no type disadvantages 2000P, the more Pokémon a gym leader uses the higher a bonus can get.
Approved Gyms didn't receive funding beyond free food and having their badges made by the league so prizes were optional. Most took the stance of a prize challenge versus free challenge. Free challenges had nothing on the line but the chance to get a badge. Prize challenge's varied, often it was the Gym leader and the trainer betting equal amounts and the winner gets the money. Others had a selection of Pokémon the winner could choose from if they paid an entrance free and won under certain conditions. The most famously known was the Fighting Dojo Gym of Saffron who gave a fighting type Pokémon if the challenger beat them using only physical moves.
Drag was wearing tan hiking boots, a pair of loose black pants, a red short sleeve shirt and a red weather coat. The coat came with the option to add an additional cold weather liner on the inside, without the liner it was somewhat loose allowing air to flow keeping him from overheating. He had come to the decision to were a coat whenever he could due to the fact that many of his Pokémon had weather changing moves and it would be annoying if he got wet each time he battles. He had just dropped of the apartment key incase he didn't return in time to return it before the lease ended.
As Drag had decided to go to the farewell ceremony even if he wasn't receiving his starter and his mother wasn't there, mostly it was curiosity to see if he knew anyone who had passed the test. Luna was inside her Pokeball along with the rest till he was outside Veridian, attracting attention during an event that Giovanni was at seemed like a death wish if his Pokémon would be targeted after. Veridian forest was safe since it was located between two Official Gyms with less than four deaths per year, usually by Beedrill. Passing by an alley he noticed a stray Meowth.
Drag stopped and scratched behind its ears looking at its eyes. "Hello Cutie," noticing it had shorter than average whiskers marking it as a female, "This world needs a Cat Café wouldn't you agree girl. I'm heading out of Veridian today if you are ever in trouble head to a Pokémon center." Drag stood up and continued on his way. As he neared to crowed forming at the edge of town Drag heard the sound of purring.
Turning around to see if the Meowth had followed him he was at a loss when he saw nothing there, even as the sound got louder. Feeling something heavy in his arms he looked. "Have I been carrying you this whole time."
"Meowth."
"I Remember that I didn't hold you back then. So how did you do it."
"Nya," As the Meowth looked at a man nearby her eyes glowed briefly. The man in question stopped and sat on a bench nearby before quickly falling asleep. Meowth just purred as Drag continued to scratch her behind the ears.
"Hypnosis is a good egg move to have I'm going to catch you." Shifting his arms so that he could reach his pocket while holding Meowth in the other, Drag took a Pokeball. Meowth just purred away as he tapped it against her.
"Nya." In a flash of red Meowth was sucked inside, the Pokeball just wiggled a bit before it dinged.
"Come on out Meowth." As the ball opened soon after she went inside Meowth was confused at the turn of events. Turning to Drag she stared at him. "I'm going to call you Kitten, or Kitt for short. Welcome to the team. Well meet the others later on, for now I am just going to carry you." Picking up Kitt and petting her as he walked "Soon, my pet. I shall unleash cat videos on the world and then Cat therapy. Muahahaha. Cute is justice"
Once reaching the crowd Drag was directed to stand on stage for the official picking of the Kanto starters before they would leave. He was positioned at the far end, there was around nineteen other trainers, each with a Pokémon out most being Rattata, Pidgey, Caterpie, or a Weedle. Near the front of the row Damian's two cronies stood with a Tentacool, and a Mankey, Damian along with two girls who Drag didn't recognize stood in frond by a podium. Both girls were actively ignoring Damian as he boosted on how he was going to choose the strongest one.
As Giovanni walked to the podium on the stage with a Persian following him the crowed quieted down. He released Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander and began to speak.
"Welcome people of Veridian as the Official League trainer of the Kanto Region I have been chosen to hand out this year's regional starter. Squirtle, the water type; Bulbasaur; the grass type; and Charmander, the fire type. We will start with Damian Arcs"
Damian went over to Charmander "I choose Charmander because it looks strong and turns into a Charizard, I have no use for weak Pokémon."
"Next we have Anne Greengrass." She had blonde hair and the air of a princess wasting no time she chose the Bulbasaur.
"Last but not least we have Davinia Goldstone, Daughter of our local Mayor; he was unable to make it to the ceremony as he had run out of coffee, we hope you understand. Now each of the attending trainers will receive a Pokeball and are free to visit with family and leave on their journey. I hope to see each of them challenge my Gym once they have made it to advanced trainers. "
Veridian Forest had several routes one could take to Pewter City; the highway had a small path one could follow; this was the one with the least amount of Pokémon but ofter was traveled by new trainers to avoid the more dangerous Pokémon that could be found. Next was the main route more Pokémon, less trainers, but most of the Pokémon encountered were common to the area. The final options were the small paths, ofter these were overgrown and devolved into just traipsing through the forest. If one took a small path, they were guaranteed to see Pokémon the question was if they would be safe.
Ash in the anime usually too a main route or a small path; however, is could be said that due to his loud nature most Pokémon were able to avoid him. Since Gary Oak had a car Drag wanted to avoid the main roads as a firm believe that letting a ten-year-old drive was more dangerous than any Pokémon one could encounter in the regions. Not wanting to stop yet Drag released Luna "Come on out Luna. Luna this is Kitten. While we walk, I want you to learn hypnosis from her, the Vulpix line is able to attune themselves to ghost and physic energy so you should be able to learn it with a little effort. Once we stop Yuki and Joy will be taught the same."
It amused Drag to no end how many overlooked the ability to put you opponents to sleep. Nearly all of the mind arts trio have the potential to use it as it attacks and lulls the enemy mind to enter a sleeping state. The stronger a Pokémon of that category gets the more it is able to do this includes telepathy, teleportation, and telekinesis. *Insert Pokespeech (Meowth, Nya, meow, hiss, Vulpix, pix, vul, howl, purr, etc.) * As drag continued to walk random Pokémon began to fall asleep. "Good job girls, keep practicing but try not to tire yourself out. Also see if you can hypnotize any Pokémon that are hidden to help train awareness."
Eventual Drag came to realize that even though he was carrying Kitt in his arms and Luna on his shoulders, he wasn't getting tired. This could only be due to his bloodline or the anime factor. Ash was seen running with Pikachu in his arms for a good distance to Veridian and only stopped because he crashed, how far would he have made it without being exhausted. It wasn't long before the occasional Pokémon started to fall from the trees fast asleep. Drag ending up catching a Pichu, not wanting to raise one Drag put it hibernation. He would sell it once he reached Pewter City, Pichu were prized as pets, starter Pokémon, and as a source of electricity when it became a Pikachu; worth close to 1000P it would cover his food expense to reach Cerulean City.
As the wind began to pick up Drag decided to set up camp, releasing all of his team out he had them begin physical training. Grace, Joy, Luna, and Kitten had similar body types and trained together; Luna being a ghost began to train on how-to pass-through objects. Daze just watched from a nearby pond that was almost a puddle. Drag did his quick recording of the skin care of Daze and set up his tent, carefully making sure it was as secure as he could make it. Drag didn't start a fire he ate a prepacked meal he had made before he left as the rest got Pokefood along with two berries of their choice.
Preservation technology could be found in silver grade Sylph bags and above. Able to keep meat as fresh as it could in a refrigerator most still when with dried, canned, or long-lasting foods even if they had the ability to do otherwise. Most ten-year-old kids didn't know how to cook so they just bought ready to eat items. One of Drags hobbies was experimenting with food trying almost everything as least once, even so most of what he brought was able to last past a month. He also had a water filter and several gallon containers of water; he would be prepared if he to be lost.
There were augments in the food world over whether Pokémon could be classified as food. Most regions had their own laws on what could and could not be done. Since there were animals other than Pokémon many tend not to eat Tauros steak, others would eat Pokémon if they died from natural causes, and the minority would eat Pokémon saying it's how their ancestors did it so it would be fine. Most Pokémon would treat those who ate Pokémon of their species as enemies, if it wasn't their species few could care less as long as the Pokémon in question lived a decent life and died naturally. (Farfetch'd, slowpoke tail, Basculin.)
As the storm rolled in Drag hunkered down in his tent, Yuki and Daze returned to their balls while the rest cuddled up with him. As the winds roared, flashes from lightning and thunder illuminated the tent periodically. It was only later that night that the storm died down enough to get any rest. Early in the morning after everyone had eaten Joy and Grace taught Kitten how to harness Steel and Darkness energy allowing Kitten to learn Metal Claw and Bite. When it was time to leave only Luna was left out while the rest were return.
Most of Drags journey was spent with Luna practicing the occasion hypnosis on those wild Pokémon that came to challenge Drag. It was close to noon when he came upon a familiar secne.
"Squirtle use tackle." It was Gary Oak battling Samurai, is was unknown if that was his real name but it was all he was ever called.
"Metapod use Harden."
"That's not going to work on me, Squirtle finish it off with Rabid Spin!"
Metapod was hit hard against a tree and fainted, somehow during Pokémon battles the Pokémon used some sort of energy restraint that stopped any of the participant from getting seriously injured. Most were fine with a little rest in a Pokeball this confused researchers and meant that besides that rare criminals or feral Pokémon most don't get hurt when attacked. "You have beaten me far and square I hope to battle you again some day Gary Oak of Pallet Town."
"You wish, if you want to beat someone from Pallet Town your best chance is against Ash Ketchum. He was late so he didn't get a regional starter, instead he got a Pikachu gramps caught a few days earlier." Gary smirked as he returned Squirtle.
"As a Samurai I will face any trainer brave enough to fight me, I will look forward to meeting this Ash of Pallet Town,"
Drag walked into the clearing "Yo! do either of you know how much father it is to Pewter. I'm Drag Morgan of Viridian City. I only caught the end but it was a decent battle, could have gone a bit better if Metapod used different moves, but they don't have much they can do till they Evolve" As both trainers turned to face the newcomer.
"Well met traveler I am know as Samurai. My Pokémon are exhausted so, I won't be battling you. Pewter is a few hours to the north you should make it well before nightfall." Samurai was polite even if he seems too eager to place his hand on his sword.
"I am Gary Oak of Pallet Town if you want to battle, I don't mind facing a chump like you." Gary having not been crushed in battle by Giovanni, was a bit of an ass.
"I'm game, to keep this quick let's make it a one on one. Luna Prepare for Battle" Luna unfurled herself from Drags shoulder turning from what looked into a fur mantle into a white Vulpix before their eyes.
"What's that Pokémon." Gary exclaimed as he brought out his Pokedex. At the time of birth, it has just one tail. The tail splits from its tip as it grows older. Inside VULPIX's body burns a flame that never goes out. During the daytime, when the temperatures rise, this Pokémon releases flames from its mouth to prevent its body from growing too hot. "Hu, yours is a different color than the one in the Pokedex. Not matter, I choose Squirtle Go!" Squirtle yawns as it prepares for battle.
"That is a Novice mistake when any Pokémon returns to its Pokeball it automatically prepares to rest. If you plan to send it out again without telling it the Pokémon will be tired and, in some cases, asleep." Drag snickered as he heard Samurai comment about Gary's battling skills.
"Since you are at a disadvantage you can make the first move, Samurai I know it's a bit late but can you be our judge."
"Certainly. This is a one on one battle between Gary Oak of Pallet and Drag Morgan of Veridian. The battle will continue until one forfeits the match or is unable to Battle. Begin!"
"Squirtle Use water gun." Gary wastes no time in using a water move, unfortunately his Pokedex is the Kanto version so he doesn't know that a Alola Vulpix was an Ice Type.
"Luna, use protect then Raindance." Water gun splashes unto a transparent white barrier while Luna begins a strange hope skip dance sending a blue spark into the sky. Soon a light rain shower starts covering the field getting both Pokémon and trainers wet.
"Ha, what a rookie move Squirtle is a water type. You just weakened any fire moves. Water gun again." The smug look on Gary's face just made Drag smile Harder.
"Dodge it, then use Ice beam."
Gary was stumped "How does a fire type know ice beam. Squirtle watch out!" As Squirtle was covered in water the ice beam froze Squirtle in place leaving the turtle Pokémon shivering in the cold. Gary still somewhat stunned tried to retaliate. "Squirtle, try to break out of it with rabid spin!"
"Luna, put it to sleep with hypnosis." It didn't take long for Squirtle to fall asleep, securing Drag First win. "Well done Luna." *Vulpix*
"Squirtle is unable to battle, Drag Morgan is the victor." Samurai called the match as Gary return Squirtle. "I have not seen a battle like that in some time I have much to learn." Samurai left leaving Gary alone with Drag.
"Not bad for a beginner, Squirtle was already tired so I should have used a different Pokémon. So how does a fire type learn Ice Beam like that." Gary was quick to cover his loss.
"A fire type doesn't. Luna comes from Alola and due to the different climate Alolan Vulpix are Ice type. If a Pokémon is a different color that you expect, you shouldn't assume you know what it can do. I caught her an Ula'Ula Island a few weeks ago when I went on a vacation there. Your Squirtle was pretty strong, it will probably evolve soon." Drag put his hand out.
Gary accepted the hand shake before turning and leaving. "Next time I'll win, smell you later." Drag released Kitten and carried her as he headed towards Pewter City. It wasn't far from the tree that Samurai's Metapod had hit earlier that he saw a shiny purple stone. Knowing how odd some of the items were in the Poke verse he put it away in his backpack. He liked shiny things anyway.
Drag made it to the Pokémon center later that evening since it was to late to challenge a gym Drag sold Pichu to the center and registered Kitten. Getting one of the trainer rooms that were available for free as long as one was a registered trainer. After informing the team of Lunas victory Drag went to sleep.
He was restless, running through the forest, he caught a scent. It was sweet and earthy. Giving chase his heart pounding, jumping, weaving, ducking underneath the trees. Close, around the corner.
Drag woke up, his heart pounding. He didn't know what he was chasing in the dream, but he did know that he wanted whatever it was to be his and his alone. Dragons are greedy.
Drag was able to find the Official Pokémon gym of Pewter City by asking Nurse joy. At the entrance of the gym there was a man next to two Onix Statues. "Welcome to Pewter gym Brock is free right now so you can battle as soon as you register." As the man tapped the base of the statue a computer popped out. Once Drag handed the man his card he spoke up again. "Since this is your first gym, I'll explain some things the don't post on the poke web. Once you register for a gym challenge the leaders can decide whether or not you have to take a test to challenge them. The most common type of challenge is to have to face a ace trainer before them. What Pokémon they use depends on how many badges you have. Since this is you first you can challenge him directly. Would you like to put your winning into your trainer account? If you do the league offers .05% monthly interest so you earn money as you travel without having to return to your local bank to make a withdraw."
"sure, so can I go in now."
The man nodded "Certainly, just sign here and we can set up the account for you if you wish to make a withdrawal you can do so at any league operated building. Some places don't take our card so we recommend you keep some cash on you. The door is straight ahead."
The room was dark, suddenly lights turned on along the edge of the room revealing a spiky brown-haired teenager with slightly squinty eyes "who goes there"
This was similar to how Drag pictured it in his head "I am Drag Morgan of Viridian city, I came to win my first badge."
Brock stood up "This is your first Gym match. It is different from other battles. This match is for Pokémon league authorization. There are special rules. We will use two Pokémon each as the challenger you are allowed substitutions. You cant win." With a snap of his fingers the wall of the building moved as a rocky floor was moved in.
Drag moved forward next to Brock as the floor moved as if to crush him. "Watch it! If you don't warn people about the floor gimmick someone's likely to get hurt" Brock looked embarrassed.
"Sorry, no one's complained before. If you move to the other side, we can start the match." Drag walked across the field arms crossed. He wondered if everyone was this carless just because no one called them out on the crap they pulled. Brock yelled over to Drag. "Since I am the gym leader I'll go first. GO! Geodude." A round rock the size of a volleyball with arms appeared
Drag grabbed a Pokeball and threw it to the field "Kitten, It's time for Battle." In a flash of red the Meowth stood ready to fight claws extended.
Brock motioned with his hand and a young boy appeared on the railing above. "This is a two on two match challenger Drag has the first move."
Drag smiled "Kitten uses screech and follow up with Metal claw." Meowth made a loud *Yowl* that left ears stinging as she charged, her claws turned silver and seemed to extend several inches.
Brock reacted fast "Geodude dodge it and use rollout." Geodude was hit once before getting away it the rolling into a ball and sped towards Kitten.
"Hurry jump up on one of the boulders," Geodude continued to spin until it hit the rock "Now Kitten Metal Claw again." As the Meowth jumped on the Geodude it was helplessly stuck in the rock.
As a red light enveloped Geodude Brock called out "Geodude return. Let's see how you handle this, Go Onix." Onix was a giant stone snake like Pokémon that nearly reached the hanging lights as it reared up "Onix use bind."
"Use Hypnosis!" Drag was unsure whether it was the right decision or if he should have tried to land a hit on Onix before switching out Kitten. As her eyes glowed Onis started to slow down.
As Onix fell asleep Brock crashed to the ground in shock. Getting back up "Well that was anticlimactic but Onix is unable to battle Drag is the winner. I didn't think your Meowth knew Hypnosis, keep in mind it only worked because it was early in the morning and Onix woke up a short while ago. A well train Pokémon can ignore hypnosis if they are stronger than the user or even just close their eyes to avoid it." As both recalled their Pokémon Brock walked across the room "Here is the boulder badge, and also take this tm. The league hands these out to Official Gyms to give to trainers we have high hopes for. Its Tm K20-Rage. The user takes a hit to release large amounts of endorphins, this increases physical attack and lands a strong hit to the opponent in relation. If the Pokémon is untrained or the hit to strong the Pokémon my go on a rampage. Use it carefully, also your winning come to 2600P, not many get that much from their first gym."
"Thanks Brock see you around." Drag headed to the Pokémon center to energize his Pokémon. Stopping by a computer he decided to upload the video of Graces evolution. The video would be viewed by a league official who would then name a price to view it after reviewing its topic. Since it was about an unknown evolution topic it was bound to be approved and money would be added for each person who viewed it with a twenty percent service fee reduction. While he was there, he decided to call his mother and Lana.
Drag didn't have long to wait till his mother picked up. "Hello dear, did you call Lana first. I wouldn't mind if you did, she's a sweet girl. If you break, her heart I might end up disowning you."
Needless to say, Drag became nervous. He hadn't seen his mother do anything drastic, but things happen to those who disappoint her, terrible things. "Not yet mom, I wanted to call you first so see how the move in was. I caught a Meowth and got my first Gym badge. I placed a video on the League site today, so expect people to ask about your famous son before long."
In a dismissive tone she muttered. "If I wanted to deal with press I wouldn't have run away from home. Of course, that wasn't the only reason but you know that. Anyways I want you to call Lana, she's been worried you forgot about her. Her friend Mallow stopped by and accused me of not raising my son correctly because he was ignoring his girlfriend. We had a chat about that, call me later and keep us both updated, bye my little Dragon stay alive."
Stay alive, not the worst thing she's said but she was defiantly not happy. This Mallow girl must be lucky his mother likes here the last one to accuse her of improper child care hasn't been able to communicate since the terrible Ditto accident. Drag decided to see what gifts can be sent via the Pokemart Online. It didn't take long to settle on a Lovdisc Locket that cost over 500P, it wasn't the most expensive thing they had but it was a respectable amount that showed he cared without looking like he was trying to buy her off.
When he called Lana, it was her father who picked up the phone. "Excuse me my name is Drag I am in a relationship with Lana." As her father said nothing and just nodded, he was left with a few questions. One in particular was bugging him, if he doesn't introduce himself how am I supposed to know his name. calling him father might be a bad way to go just settle on sir. "Sir, do you know if Lana is available if so, may I speak with her."
Lana's father was quiet, he looked like a younger Ahab from Moby Dick with blue hair. When he spoke, "When you return would you like to head out on my boat with me?" it sounded like a one-way trip.
Drag decided to test the waters. If it was as bad as it seems it couldn't get much worst. "Is this going to be a father son trip, or a he got lost at see trip? Either way I suggest bringing Lana with us." Playing the 'don't make your daughter unhappy card' may buy him some time. Luckily, he didn't need much.
"Father who's on the phone." Hearing Lana drag decided to move fast to prevent any chance that her father may trick her.
"Lana is that you? It's me Drag I just called." Her fathers' eye was twitching a little. He defiantly didn't like drag right now. Lana quickly replaced her father and even if Drag couldn't tell if he was still in the room, he knew he would be listening. "Alola Lana, I just won my first badge. If you remember our trip to Mount Lanakila, I just posted the video on Grace's evolution to a Glaceon. So how are things going in Alola, is my mother causing any trouble?"
"I'm doing well in school my friend Mallow seems concerned about you, she even confronted your mom. I don't know what was said but she seems calmer now. I think it's because everything happened so fast. By the way can you send me pictures of your Pokémon? Several of the other students ask me questions about them and I think a few pictures will help my email address is XOXO or you can send it by mail." Lana was cheerful as ever. She also seems less shy it was almost two weeks ago that she was blushing all the time.
"I'll take a picture of each and send it to you before I leave Pewter city. Keep my mom company if you can, I know she may not say much about it but she threated to disown me if I hurt you in any way. When I was talking to your father earlier, he suggested taking a fishing trip when I'm in Alola again, I suggested it could be a family thing. Talk to you mother to see how she feels and we can get back to it later. I bought a small gift you can ask my mom for help when it arrives." Drag had heard a light thud when he mentioned the fishing trip. It seems that it was a good idea to try to get Lana's mother to reign in her husband.
"Well I have school work to do so make sure to call me when you can." Lana was smiling but it didn't seem like calling was a suggestion.
"Yes Dear, Let the kids know I love them." Lana was blushing as a loud crashing noise was heard. "Got to go say bye to your dad for me." Seeing Lana's father trying to attack the phone, he hung up. He felt slightly guilty that he may try to question Lana but it was a great opportunity to mess with him and the following conversation he would have with his wife should make him mellow out again.
Deciding to head to Mount moon and train there while he waits Drag took a picture of his team individually and another one as a group then sent it to Lana. He had managed to get nurse Joy to take the group picture so he was able to be in it with them. Next, he stopped by the Pokemart to make sure he had enough food and an extra batter pack incase he needs in in the caves. With one last check he releases Luna so she could ride on his shoulders and set off towards mount moon.
