Reborn Judgement-Kanto Chapter 11
(Author note: I would like to clarify the Levels do not mean strength in this fanfic. It is more about their maturity a lv 1 is just born lv 5 the point where most can function as a baby, lv 10 is like a kid it is also close to where Pokémon can set out on their own, level 20 is like a teenager, level 30 is young adult any levels after that are them slowly entering what is known to be a peak physical state. Level 100 would be like ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER in the Terminator. So that just means that that the Levels can fluctuate based on a Pokémon condition. This means if the Pokémon is over the level that they would learn a certain attack in the game it can still be taught, while if it's under level that means that they lack the capacity to learn it or that they would have difficulty successfully using it. This will allow me to nerf Pokémon if I feel like it. ALSO, Trainer J episode will be skipped. I don't approve of whips recreational or otherwise.)
The next time team Ash, as Drag liked to call it, set up camp he introduced all of his Pokémon. Ash himself was a little jealous that Drag had several Pokémon classified as native to other regions. Drag showed Ash how his Pokémon trained by running in various patterns, lifting weights/heavy objects, and practicing moves to be both wide spread or pinpoint. He also gave an explanation on how he taught those that could a steel type move as it was a reliable physical move to fall back on. As team Ash headed towards Vermillion city.
Drag lectured the two young trainers as they walked in order to avoid listening to Ash and Misty fighting over an earlier bicycle incident for the third time that day. "Now Ash, Misty. I know its not my place but it is important to have a move that can offset at least one weakness that you Pokémon has. It can also be useful to have a move that can change the terrain to your advantage. For example, many of the Pokémon I have been weak against rock so I taught them a steel type move. They also know a weather move which they can build on. Rain can conduct electric moves, power up water types, weaken fire types, hurts rock types, and can be frozen augmenting Ice types. I actually have a few Tm you each can use to help."
Brock acted as the big brother of the group and often gave advice "While Pokémon can learn moves from a Tm that would be difficult to otherwise it also takes longer for them to learn how to use the move to its full potential. It's the difference between telling kids about sand and letting them play with it."
"Well I don't need any help Pikachu and I are invincible yesterday we beat ten trainers. I just wish we could have fought that J person." They had heard rumors about J whipping fresh caught Pokémon, this caused them to attack the trainer seriously injuring him. He was currently being evaluated to see if he was to keep his trainer license.
Misty was somewhat interested having faced Drag herself. "So, what Tm do you have that my Starmie can learn." Although Misty was a gym trainer, she focused on water Pokémon limiting some of her possibilities. Something Drag wanted to help with in order to help with their future problems.
"I have several Starmie can learn including Rain Dance, Ice Beam, Protect, and Thunderbolt." Drag ignored Hyper beam as few Pokémon could use it even with a Tm, so far, he only taught it to Daze and only had her work on gathering energy rather that actually use the move.
Without warning Brock Misty and Ash all yelled in shock "Starmie can use Thunderbolt?!" Misty Continued after grabbing Drag as the other two were stuck in a dream like state imagining the starfish Pokémon use the move. "It's an electric move! Are you sure Starmie can use electric attacks"? In her rush Misty had knocked Luna off Drags shoulders the Ice fox the used power Snow covering the two in snow.
As they wiped the snow off Drag continued with what he could remember about Starmie "Starmie can use Thunderbolt, thunder, thunder wave, grass knot, gyro ball flash cannon, along with several Ice, Physic, and Water moves. I have heard of at least one trainer who supposedly was able to teach his Starmie thunderbolt, I think he was from the Orange Islands. We can take a break and we can use the Tm if you want."
Brock walked over to clearing nearby "I think we all need a little brake." He began grabbing things out of his bag, his arms moving at a speed that would impress a Hitmonchan. Soon a fully set table appeared in the clearing. Brock had to at least have a Silver Grade Sylph Co. bag. "Why don't I just throw a little something together. There is nothing as satisfying as a cup of one hundred percent cerulean coffee. You kids are to young for this stuff but it's really quite good. How about some prune juice?"
Ash slumped over "I think I'll pass." Drag just picked up the can and placed it in his bad as Brock was distracted. He got out his tm case while misty grabbed Starmie Pokeball.
"How about some Herbal tea?" Misty asked Brock while Drag set up the machine and began using several Tm. Ash wasn't an easy one to please as he was against the Idea. Brock was quick to intervene.
"Not so fast Ash. I brought my official Pokémon Tea set. Now the key to good tea and coffee is good water, and I just happen to have a generous supple of sparkling delicious Mt Moon pure spring water; and for a special snack I have for you some French Crepe's" Drag was sitting at the table using the tm machine. Crepe's were a simple egg-based pastry that was often filled with other things to add flavor.
Misty seemed to have a love most girls tend to have for the French that is often based on stereotypes. This brought Drag to the though process of how several regions had changes names and borders during the era of Sir Aaron. Several of these had names and cultures of Drags previous life.
"I love French things there are so romantic, aren't they?"
(Author note; this little bit about cultures was added by myself as it is either that or make this more of a super world that it already is.)
Brock stood up with a bowl and whisk in hand "By the way I can't cook crepe's and I can't boil water if I don't have a fire" Brock walked close to Ash and Misty "One of you is going to have to go into the forest and carry back some firewood."
Misty smiled "That's and excellent idea brock and I'm willing to sacrifice the excitement of searching for firewood to stay here and keep you company." After the three looked at her in disbelief, Brock turned towards Drag and Ash hung his head.
Brock barley got in a word as Ash spoke with resignation. "Yeah I'm going" He turned and got Pikachu's attention before heading into the foggy forest. Drag finished up with the Tm machine and handed Misty back her Starmie.
"I used Rain dance, protect, Thunderbolt and Ice beam. If you are not sure what to start with in a battle, I suggest Rain dance so you can use the field to your advantage." Drag looked into the forest before asking a question that was on his mind for a while. "Why are all the gyms you mention to him Official gyms? I know there should have been a few Approved gyms closer to Cerulean. So why send him towards Vermillion."
Brock stared into the distance as he spoke "He has a good heart. The problem is that he doesn't have much else. Since I had the chance to follow my dream of being a Pokémon breeder because of his actions I felt it was only natural to try and help him in my own way. Official gyms tend to be stronger but they are the best chance to improve oneself as a trainer. If it's not too much trouble just excuse yourself from the group when you head to Approved gym. It's not that I don't disapprove, I just want to see how much Ash can grow."
"I understand. I actually have a few Breeding Certifications' myself. If you are having trouble with the basic qualification test, I can help you out. Also, it is a foggy forest. Ash will likely get lost. Misty you go on ahead I'll help Brock pack up." They sighed as one before Misty headed out. It wasn't long before Drag and Brock were packed and Luna back around Drag's neck, for some reason Brock was set on making the Crepe batter as they walked. Not long after they heard some shouting in the distance "What, do you want to bet that's Ash?"
"That's a fool bet, and you know it." Once they got close, they saw several kids in school uniforms walking away. Ash and Misty were with another school kid with brown hair next to an advanced tread mill. "So those are the infamous Tech students" Ash was confused like usual and asked about what Brock meant. It was Misty who clarified it for him first
"Pokémon Tech, I think it was short for Pokémon Technical, a school for Pokémon Trainers. I Know I have a flyer here somewhere." Misty checked her pockets before pulling out a rumpled paper. "Yeah here it is." Ash leaned over to look at it.
"A Pokémon school in the middle of nowhere?" Brock reached out and Grabbed the paper.
"Hmm, Lets see what it says here about this place. Pokémon Technical Institute, a boarding school for serious Pokémon preparation." As brock Read the flyer Pikachu began to mess around with the treadmill. Drag noticed this and wanted to see how fast it could go, both the treadmill, and Pikachu. The world being what it was guaranteed that if something funny can happen, it likely will happen. "All students guaranteed to enter league upon graduation."
Pikachu successfully started the treadmill as Brock continued with his explanation. "Pokémon Technical is the Educational facility for exceptional student's who want to become Pokémon trainers in a very short time." Brock rested his hand on the treadmill accidently making it go faster. Pikachu lasted for a while before being tossed off. "Without having to travel a difficult badge collecting journeys. Oh, so that's the story." Pikachu tried to kick the treadmill; it was unaffected.
Ash didn't seem to notice Pikachu as he spoke out against the school "Getting into the Pokémon league without badges is to easy." Brock moved his hand a little and ended up turning of the machine.
"but wait, there is more. Student entrance fee's and tuition are in keeping with the high standards set by Pokémon technical."
Misty spoke with disgust in her voice "You know what that means don't you. It's one of the snobby private schools only millionaire kids can go to."
"I don't remember if I told you yet, but I am a free trainer. Many free trainers end up catching Pokémon to sell to others. While most are sold early to be purchased as pets or starter Pokémon for other trainers, some are trained longer by free trainers to be sold to students or trainers who either don't have time or don't want to train their own. Some rare Pokémon are even sold as collectables. I only catch and sell if I need food money. Some free trainers, are only in it for money." Drag finished in a sad tone. Without a sponsor like Ash had in professor Oak he had to make decisions based on what he had to do to reach his goal.
"Oh, that really make me mad, where is this place anyway?" Ash was mad but it wasn't because of Drag at least.
The Schoolkid, who had been quite till now, pointed right in front of Ash. "It's right over there."
The Fog cleared up as a voice on a loud speaker spoke out. The class on fog battle technics has now ended tomorrow lesion will be snow competition secrets. "Oh well, I guess tomorrow they will make me into a snow man again." As Ash asked about his school life Drag decided to take the treadmill, no one seemed to notice him act as the Schoolkid finished talking about Pidgey.
Ash asked why he didn't answer questions if he already knew the answer. The schoolkid continued with his explanation "sometimes I make believe I don't know all the answers, because if I do they make the questions that much harder. I have to stay here at Pokémon Tech. My Mother and Father worked hard and saved money so they could pay to send me to school here." Drag took out his camera and began recording the boy as he spoke.
As the Schoolkid pointed out to a man with who looked to be in his twenties reading a book under a tree. "You see that guy over there? He's an upperclassman the classes are so hard here that some students are held back many years. Everybody's to ashamed to go home without getting a diploma. That guys in the beginners' class with me. Beginners have the same qualifications as someone with two badges, the intermediate class has the qualifications of four, and advanced student have the same as six. If you graduate you can go to the Pokémon League without going around to collect the badges. That guys a beginner, but he's so much older that everyone in the class that nobody bothers to help him, like they help me."
Misty walked closer to the boy "What do the teacher say about that kind of help?"
"They don't even know about it or if they do, they pretend not to." After the kid answered Drag asked "So they allow blatant bulling of students just because it's viewed as 'helping'?"
Ash proclaimed Loudly "Well I for one believe this is a violation of student rights that must stop immediately if not sooner. I want to see the student in charge of this system and I'll see that it stops." The schoolboy pulled out a picture of a female student Brock, Ash, and the schoolkid compliment her looks. after Ash made a comment of how she looked better of Misty, she began to walk into the school angry, looking as if she wanted to burn it down.
As the group walked into a room filled with machines that looked like a mix between a computer and an arcade game, the schoolboy questioned how strong they really are implying that he was as strong as Ash and could beat Misty easily. Turning to one of the machines he showed a simple and poorly made simulation battle. Misty declared "A simulation is one thing but this is real life, lets battle!"
The kid got up and said "you'll be sorry." They walked over to a nearby Pokémon arena drag still recording. Ash asked "What do you two have to battle for"
"Butt out Ash. I have the Cerulean city gym's reputation to defend, and I'm going to defend it." Misty declared as Drag whispered to Ash "that a lost cause." Misty threw a Pokeball and sent out Starmie. "Misty calls Starmie."
The schoolkid took out a Pokeball "Too bad you water Pokémon won't be able to beat my plant. Alright Weepinbell, let's go!" The weeping bell in question was small, barley bigger than a Bellsprout.
In one of the shortest battle Drag has ever witnessed "I'll teach him about Pokémon. Starmie go." The Starfish Pokémon used a water gun knocking Weepinbell in the air. It lasted at most five seconds before it was knocked out.
"Ahh, but Weepinbell is strong against water Pokémon."
A schoolgirl with long brown hair and a short skirt walked in explaining what happened to Weepinbell. Several boys were following her they all had a nasty smirk on their face. "True, but there is one thing you didn't know. Your opponent is from the Cerulean city gym, her Pokémon has much more experience battling. You should have known that you're an embarrassment to the whole school. I'm the top student of the begging class of the most exclusive prep school in the world, Pokémon Tech. It's sad other aren't blessed with mu beauty, my talent, my humble attitude. People call me a star, but I'm just Giselle."
Giselle walk into the arena and stood in front of the boy, nobody noticed Drag still recording. "I want to continue to help my classmate be the very best they can be to teach each other respect each other and ensure the Pokémon of tomorrow, but you a weakling. You better get stronger fast or your fellow students will turn their back on you for good." The boy was shocked.
Drag walked next to misty and handed her the camera after whispering. "Record this." he turned to Giselle and yelled out as loud as he could. "Not so fast bitch. A true friend doesn't walk away from someone who needs their help, nor would they ignore them being bullied by others. You remind me of an old saying of how beauty is only skin deep. My name is drag and I have the stone badge and the cascade badge. I will only use my water Pokémon just like Misty, one versus one. If you want the match to be longer, I have two Ice types, a psychic type, a normal type, a poison type, and a ghost type you can choose in which order they fight." Luna was still hidden wrapped around his neck with his coat he stuck a pose. One hand in front of his face in a half Tora hand sign the other grasping a Pokeball.
Giselle grabbed a Pokeball off a nearby rack "One will be enough, Graveler go." Brock was quick to comment, "but rock Pokémon a re weak to water Pokémon" Giselle Raised her hand to her face "My Pokémon are at such an advanced level that they can beat a water Pokémon.
"Daze time to battle! Show her true beauty." Daze gave a cry as she appeared. Her golden scales shone brightly, highlighted by her tan and purple coloring. "I evolved Daze myself, people call Feebas weak but this is what they can become with the proper treatment and care. Now let's see how you compare to something beautiful on the inside and outside."
Graveler jumped into the air and came smashing down. Drag didn't say a word as Daze dodged into the air herself and used water pulse. It hit Graveler dead on making it flinch, it jumped again and hit Daze as she was in the air. Daze flew out into the pool outside. Giselle recalled her Graveler as the group headed out to the pool "Now were by the pool you can choose another Pokémon if you want." Giselle was smug.
"I don't need to since you recalled you Graveler are you going to send it back out after all if this was a Official league battle She would have had a minute to return to the ring, but since we were inside there was no way to tell how the get back. It must have been your strategy all along." Drag spoke with venom.
"Pokémon are only as strong as the trainer who raises them. A Pokémon that's weaker but better trained can still win, it depends on the trainer. I hope your learning something from this Joe" Giselle called out to Brown hair school kid, his name was joe. All this time and they didn't say his name, drag was a bit disappointed at this. "A Pokémon level of training is almost as important a Pokémon type in deciding a match. A first-class Pokémon trainer can calculate that."
"Well are we going to continue, you said you wanted to but all you did is rant on about how superior you are. All gyms have a wide field to that any Pokémon that are knocked out can easily find the ring. You only could win by a technicality; I have only been a trainer almost two months and yet you are scared to face me. If you don't want to face Daze how about you face my Luna." As Drag returned Daze to her Pokeball, Luna rose from her position to revealing herself.
Giselle gasped as if offended. "You've been at trainer for two months and you let you Vulpix roam freely out of it Pokeball. Are you training it or is it training you?"
"She is my friend and comrade. If you don't form bonds with your Pokémon you will never become truly strong. Ash only has three Pokémon and he has two badges knows this in his heart. So, get off your high horse." Drag lifted the hood on his coat, he checked to see Misty still recording even if she did seem unfocused.
Giselle Laughs as she grabbed a Pokeball "For your Vulpix this Pokémon will be more than a match, Cubone Go. Cubone start out with leer."
Luna sways before quickly righting herself "Use Rain Dance, and the start the freeze with hail." As Luna's eyes glowed white, it began to hail and snow. She had used hail to lower the temperature of the Rain dance, this allowed it to begin snowing even with the occasional hail stone falling. "Now lock it in place with ice beam.
Although she was stunned by the weather Giselle had somehow gotten an umbrella. "So, it isn't a fire type, that means it's an Alolan Vulpix, that still won't save you. Cubone dodge it. Use Bonemerang." In the snow Luna has started to vanish, soon it could only be seen by the ice beams it shot off each time Cubone tried to attack it had to dodge. The times it did manage to attack it missed completely it wasn't long before Cubone was frozen in place.
Drag was still angry at how Giselle acted and wanted to finish her off in such a way that there was no question who the better trainer was. Even though the weather was poor the only thing that couldn't be seen was Luna. Misty was recording and still no one seemed to notice, everyone also had an umbrella. "Luna Finish It." Soon the fox Pokémon became visible as a gaseous purple like flame enveloped her tails as she swung them towards the helpless Cubone. As the flames his the Cubone cried out in pain before fainting "Luna good job, I didn't expect you to learn Hex so soon. Go, Joy. Clear up the weather with sunny day."
Luna Returned to her post on Drags shoulder as the snow stopped. "Cubone return, you'll be okay now. None of the text books ever mentioned that Rain dance and Hail could create a snow." Giselle looked at her Pokeball with concern in her eyes.
Joe walked over "That was a once in a lifetime battle."
Drag motioned over to Ash, "Ash could've beaten here with Pikachu as well. The determination to never give up can push someone past there limits. This comes from a Pokémon's bond with their trainer. Bonds that come naturally to most of the trainers who get their gym badges through a journey."
As smoke began to pour in two voices could be heard "Allow us to introduce ourselves"
"To protect the world from devastation,
to unite all peoples with our nation,
to denounce the evils of truth and love,
to extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie, James,
Team rocket blast off at the speed of light,
Surrender now or prepare to fight,
Meowth jumps from up high and did a cannonball into the pool before leaping out "Meowth! I love a splashy entrance."
Giselle stood up "I've heard of team rocket you're the ones who got the worst grade's ever on the entrance exam. How about your team versus our team." Soon every student present got out a Pokeball.
"The two of us versus all of them? but the rules say one on one!" Jessie and James were frightened pretty easily.
"Bad guys don't play by the rules, Get them!" Jessie and James fled after beig pelted by Pokeballs, no Pokémon even appeared as team rocket blasted off again. Drag just returned Joy to her Pokeball and took back the camera from Misty. He turned if off and put it in his bag, he would decide what to do with it later.
Giselle sat by the pool as the rest of the students besides Joe left. "there's some things you just can't learn in school, and that's a good lesson." Joe walked up beside her looking off towards the horizon.
"I'm going to go back home to start from scratch with my first Pokémon, just like Ash and Drag did. Hey, Giselle, maybe we'll meet some day in the Pokémon league."
"I hope so. I'll try my hardest to be a worth opponent if we do."
"Is it all right if I keep your picture with me?"
"Sure, I have pictures of my friends too." Giselle flashed a picture
"Huh, you have mine?"
"we're friend now aren't we, good luck Joe." Giselle got up and raised her hand and gave joe a firm handshake.
"You too Giselle."
Drag decided not to use the whole film even if she was spoiled. Once he got to the next Pokémon center, he would upload the Video at the point when he sent out Luna to fight. This would let Giselle know he may have more footage while sending a warning that she needed to keep her act clean. He also would need to send in the ones about the Moonstone, and How to evolve a Feebas into a Milotic as well. Ash began to speak to Misty once Joe and Giselle clasped hands.
"See. Why can't you and I be like Misty?"
Misty turned towards Ash and put her hands on her hips. "Huuh, I'll tell you exactly why, because he doesn't owe her a bike!" As ash tried to laugh it off Giselle approached the group.
"So, Ash, Misty maybe well battle next time, and Drag when we have our rematch again someday." Misty agreed "I sure hope so." Ash just behind her "Me too." Team Ash left having said their goodbyes.
The next day Ash and Misty decided to take a shortcut through the forest, and since they didn't have a compass and Drag had decided early that he would act as if he didn't have anything, unless it was an emergency, in order to keep Ash on the path he was meant to take. They go lost, very lost. Ash and misty stopped to fight every so other while Drag and Brock broke the fights up. Eventually during one of their stops the came across and Oddish.
Oddish: This Pokémon is typically found roaming the forest scattering pollen as it walks around.
"I'll catch it." Ash was quick to follow his usual routine of use Pokedex, grab Pokeball, then wing it.
Misty cut off Ash stepping in front of him. "hold it."
"What for?" Ash lowed his arms his face was almost in a pouting expression.
"Because, I'm going to catch that Pokémon."
"Ahh, no way I saw it first."
"But we found it around water and water is my specialty." Misty was either using Female logic, which males do not comprehend, or was caught up with how cute an Oddish is. As the Oddish seemed to try to escape Misty grabbed a Pokeball "Go Starmie! Water gun now!" Starmie quickly cut off the wild Oddish before using water gun, sending the small grass type spinning in the air.
"Now that's the way to spray! Tackle it Starmie!" Starmie flew up into the air "That weakened it. Got to catch it now, Pokeball go." Misty tossed the ball into the air. As it neared Oddish a Bulbasaur appeared and knocked the Pokeball to the ground with its vines.
"Wow what's that!" With tears in his eyes he grabbed his Pokedex. "I can't believe it a Bulbasaur!" Pokedex Bulbasaur: It bears the seed of a plant on its back for *Fzzz* the seed slowly develops. Researchers are unsure whether to classify Bulbasaur as a plant or animal. Bulbasaur are extremely tough and difficult to capture in the wild.
The Bulbasaur tackled Starmie soon after the Pokedex finished Misty catch it as the Pokémon went limp in her arms. As Misty checked her Pokémon ash Stepped up grabbing a Pokeball "Now its my turn to try, Bulbasaur is mine. Butterfree I Choose you! Butterfree sleep powder." Butterfree soared into the air flapping it wings to disperse a veil of dust. Bulbasaur Took a deep breath and blew the powder back at Butterfree, this was not a flying move like gust it was just pure lung power. As Butterfree grew tired and fell to the ground Bulbasaur ran up and tackled it before fleeing with the Oddish.
Ash whined about how Bulbasaur fled as the group went the direction the wild Pokémon fled. As they came to a Rope bridge near some rapids Drag Spoke up about how worn the bridge looked. He was ignored, thus Drag recalled Luna, gripped one of the ropes on the side, and crossed. It was about halfway through that one of the ropes snapped sending Brock into the water. As Ash and Misty Panicked and raced ahead Drag followed a few feet behind knowing what may lie ahead doesn't mean he has to be trussed up like a fool. Misty fell into a hole, then both ended up in a net. Bulbasaur showed up and Ash tried to challenge it while still in the net. After being ignored time and time again Drag released Luna and began to play tic tac toe. Neither Misty nor Ash noticed that Drag was not with them in the trap.
After Several hours hanging in the try Ash began to speak nonsense "Gee I wonder what happened to brock. Maybe the river carried far away, all the way to the ocean. Then some pirates spotted him and brough him aboard their ship, and one of the pirates has a wooden leg. Then came the storm."
"Ahoy! Why are you hanging up in that tree" Brock looked fine and seemed to have heard Ash ramble on about his pirate adventures.
Drag got up with Luna in his arms and began to complain. "Brock it's so good to see you these to forgot all about me. I got annoyed so I decided to leave them in the net till they noticed I wasn't there, but they never did. If you are joining Ashes imaginary pirate crew take me with you." Ash and misty turned red as Brock laughed. Soon he found the rope holding them up and cut them down.
"We've been looking all over for you, ever since you fell into the river what happened" As ash and Misty got up Brock began to scratch his head, Drag took this moment to recall Luna. Luna has been sleeping on his shoulders so much that he sometimes forgot she was there, He also made plans to let his other Pokémon out once and a while. The time Drag spent with his team seemed to have decreased since he joined the gang.
"Well I was being washed away in the rapids a girl reached out and grabbed my hand. The girl who saved my life was incredibly beautiful."
Ash interrupted before Brock gave anymore details. "A beautiful girl huh. That's even better than pirates, unless she was a pirate in disguise.
Misty and the rest Sighed "Maybe it's time to get a reality check." Soon the group was following Brock back to his savior. They soon came to a wooden cabin next to the river, there were several Pokémon around a Blue haired woman wearing a red headband, and yellow ribbon in her hair, she also wore red overalls. Around her were several Rattata, Paras, Weepinbell, Caterpie, an Oddish, and several Pokémon were nearby in the water.
Brock walked up and Introduced them. "This is Melanie, she was the one who saved me. Melanie this is Ash, Misty, and Drag."
The woman stood up and smiled at Misty, or was just looking in the center of the group. It was hard to tell "So your Brocks friends, he told me all about you."
Ash had on some sort of poker face as Misty smiled back at her "Great, wow look at that. Do all those Pokémon belong to you?"
As Melanie denied ownership brock went and knelt down next to a Paras. "This is a Pokémon Village. Pokémon Villages are either sponsored or run by the Pokémon league, this is a rookie village and is run by Melanie who volunteered to work here. Pokémon come here o be reintroduced to the wild after being released by trainers or after being healed at a Pokémon center. To Prevent poaching village locations are kept secret, we will have to sign a nondisclosure contract when we leave."
Melanie gestured towards the Pokémon "Here the Pokémon can relax until the recovered. They are also taught how to survive in the area, since most have been trained, they can't be used as starters for new trainers and are able to be caught once they leave the village perimeter. To avoid Poachers, hunters, and other criminal behavior that may harm the Pokémon this location must be kept secret."
Brock walk back over by Ash "Melanie also collects plants to use for medicine. She knows all about which plants can help a sick or injured Pokémon."
Ash looked toward Brock with Pikachu doing the same "So you both love to take care of Pokémon."
Brock looked towards Melanie with a smile "we do."
Misty put her hands behind he back and leaned forward smirking. "Well it looks to me there is something else Brock might love. Brock turned bright red covering Misty's mouth with his and he kept making motions for her to keep quiet. Drag giggled as he though of something he needed to do later.
Drag spoke to Melanie soon after Brock and Misty calmed down "So I'm guessing you were the one to set those traps. I hope you didn't have anything to do with the bridge, that could have killed someone." Melanie turned a bit red as Ash and Misty were complaining about how they fell for the traps and Drag didn't help them. When they seemed to want to ask Drag why he just said "You didn't ask and seemed to be doing fine without me being there."
Melanie was quick to explain after "Well I set those traps to prevent trainers and other people from finding this place. There are many weak and injured Pokémon that need protecting, the bridge was not my doing, it is supposed to be maintained by the league but they only inspect it when they come to deliver more Pokémon for me to take care of."
The group spread out and began to interact with the Pokémon. Drag went inside and left a note near a workstation that contained Brock's name and contact information, along with the fact he would love if she contacted him when he traveled so he could tell her all the things he learns about Pokémon. After hearing a commotion outside drag left the cabin. A shadow was cast as something heavy hit the ground. It looked like the top of a stadium with several balloons attached, team rocket was on top of it.
"Today only at Jessie stadium it's the team rocket Pokémon challenge, Hey the flying stadium was my idea." Soon a large hose extended from the stadium and began to suck up air at an increasing pace. "All Pokémon are invited to the stadium, Step right up." Meowth began to gloat "Yeah we aint hosing ya, well maybe we are." As the wind picked up several Pokémon began to slide towards the hose.
Drag held open the door to the cabin as Brock shouted over the wind to get inside. Ash grabed a Staryu that was sliding and Melanie herded several other Pokémon. Misty tried to grab Oddish but it was swept up into the wind. The Bulbasaur used its vines to grab it as Ash ran to help them inside.
"That rotten brat is always ruining our plans, not this time he gathered them all in one place for us." Meowth "Our supper vacuum will suck them all up. Soon the team rocket tri began to dance "let's go team to steal them is our dream, let go rocket put Pokémon in our pocket."
As the cabin began to shake Bulbasaur leapt out and knocked the hose away with a vine whip. Ash and Drag ran out "Pidgeotto, I choose you." "Dracula, time to battle" "Pidgeotto Gust attack/ Dracula use air cutter" As the winds collided a tornado was formed.
With team rocket standing stiff "And the tornados winding up, but will it strike us out" Meowth, "There goes the whole ball game." Soon team rocket was soon blown away along with their stadium "Looks like team rocket is blasting off again."
Soon after the fight with team rocket Melanie wanted Ash to take Bulbasaur with him. After a quick battle against Pikachu Ash had a fourth Pokémon. After Bulbasaur was caught Ash had to fill out paperwork since he had officially received Bulbasaur for services to the Pokémon village Drag took this moment to sing Binks' Sake (from the one-piece anime) it was a big hit with the Pokémon and light hearted enough that Drag wouldn't fear being called upon to sing so much, really the only reason he sang once and a while was to fill time and remember what he could of his past life. As team Ash left for their next adventure several young trainers couldn't help but tease Brock at his attempt to woo Melanie.
"So, what did Melanie say when you told her you loved her? Did you kiss her goodbye?" Misty took the most joy in this activity.
Brock covered Misty's mouth as he nervously tried to defend himself. "That's enough stupid questions, will you please stop embarrassing me already? So, she's cute I understand that."
Drag cut in "Don't worry I left Brocks Contact information at her workstation with a note to call and talk about Pokémon care. He still has hope." Brock just turned red and started walking stiffly forward on the road to their next adventure. Ash, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur all confused followed after him as Misty and Drag snickers could be heard following them.
(Author note: This chapter took longer than I thought. After several attempts to start I skipped my first episode and will do so to several others. I have put several Polls up so feel free to put in a vote. Also, I want to make clear that although Drag will have some fun later it will mainly be because I will be adding more to his bloodline trait. This Poke Universe is fairly liberated so I may put in some one-night stands but I will not be adding to his Harem/Relationships Just because they have a nice rack. Also ash will also have some invested parties in the future, not in Kanto. You may have noticed less screen time for Pokémon that is mainly because they are so numerous that it is hard to keep track of the characters, when Drag is on his solo adventures they will appear more often)
