A/N: Have a teaser scene for a future scene, cause I have spoileritis and zero chill.
It's a Infinity War/Endgame based story, with some little Fallen Order sprinkled in, I'm working on with my brother. It will take a long while, but have a scene of what to expect.
"This can't be good…", Jesse muttered, stating the obvious. He found himself stepping back, as Petra did too.
"It isn't. It's him."
Behind the admin, who was currently standing frozen in his position, was nearing an entity, and the two heroes recognised it immediately, because they had seen him before. The white glowing eyes told them everything they needed to know.
"You have failed me, Admin.", Herobrine said, his voice low and deep, threatening.
The admin was breathing heavily, fear evident in his eyes. He didn't dare to turn around, or to be more accurate, he couldn't turn around to face the mad demi god. Said entity was keeping him in place.
"Run.", was the single word the man uttered at the youths, before a redstone and obsidian sword ran right through his chest, his eyes widening in surprise.
When Herobrine yanked out the sword, the admin fell to the ground limb. He was dead. And the two heroes just watched in shock.
"Who's next?"
Petra gritted her teeth and gripped the hilt of her sword, glaring at the entity intensely. He just grinned at that.
The redhead charged at Herobrine with a war cry, Jesse calling her name in vain in the background. The next seconds went in slow motion. Just a few more strides away from the man, with a simple swipe of his hand, Petra was lifted in the air and thrown off the edge and to the lava filled hole.
Jesse's heart stopped, and his breath hitched in his throat, as tears filled his eyes. "PETRA!", the boy screamed, running close to the edge. Herobrine didn't prevent him as he seemed to enjoy it.
Jesse looked over the edge frantically, for any sign of his friend. She was nowhere to be seen though. He was shaking his head, his eyes closed. He just felt like he was going to say something, but he couldn't. It just felt like he was drowning. Drowning in a swarming sea of emotions. None of them good.
He stood up on his feet shakily, his hardened gaze fixed on Herobrine. Now understanding that the demigod was taking joy from other people's pain and sadness, Jesse wasn't going to give him this pleasure.
"It's only you and me now.", Jesse said.
"You know that only one of us is getting out of here alive.", Herobrine replied simply, not a single hint of regret in his voice.
Taking a deep breath, Jesse stood his ground. "I'm not afraid of you."
The man in front of him lifted his dark red sword, glowing with enchantments that bid the obsidian and redstone together. "Then you'll die braver than the most."
Jesse made a move, his diamond sword swinging at Herobrine who effortlessly blocked his attacks and then almost boredly, swiped his hand upwards and closed in in a fist. The boy had been thrown to the ceiling, held there by a invisible hand on his throat that was tightening and tightening.
Jesse feebly tried to move his hands up to his neck and remove those invisible hands that threatened to steal all the oxygen he currently had.
Looking down, he found out that Herobrine was standing below him, just a few feet to the right. With any remaining strength he had left, Jesse threw his sword at him.
Herobrine avoided the attack by simply sidestepping, and then hurled Jesse to the floor. The boy rolled for a few feet hard, not given the chance to take a proper breath. For a few moments, he curled in a ball groaning, but quickly got up, hearing Herobrine come for him again.
Right now, the demigod was just toying with him. He clearly wanted him dead, but he wanted to enjoy it first, giving Jesse the impression that he could really get away from this with his life.
Chunks of blocks got tore off from the walls and floor in huge masses, in a fashion that reminded the Witherstorm, but instead of them being used to make an armor, they were all thrown in full force at the young hero.
Jesse barely dodged some of the incoming blows and was forced to run. The passage from where he came from was torn to pieces, leaving huge gaps taking to the lava below. The fallen pieces even took out Herobrine's own mobs. One thing that was good at least.
Clunks. Cracks. Booms.
His own heartbeat.
Jesse was completely exhausted. The only reason he was still able to jump above those huge gaps and climb up the newly formed outcrops was that he was now running on pure adrenaline.
He ran into the redstone powered elevator and punched the button. He looked out of the entrance and saw that Herobrine had somehow gotten across the gap he himself created. Jesse's eyes widened as he punched the button again and again in a panic.
'Come on, come on-'
The door finally decided to close, just in time for Herobrine's sword to carve on it's surface. The boy, who had sat down on the opposite side of the elevator, slumped down, breathing heavily, still clutching his throbbing sides.
He still couldn't believe Petra was gone. She was really gone. Just like that. It felt like when he lost Reuben, or when he thought Lukas had fallen into the void back in Sky City. Jesse wanted to make himself believe that it was like the second case, that somehow Petra would be fine, she would show up and they would escape the place together.
The odds though were very low. That wasn't just void or something. It was a friggin' lava pit. There's no escaping from that.
Jesse felt like he wanted to cry again, just lie there and cry. But the stone he currently had in his inventory reminded him that he couldn't. Once again, the world in his hands.
Feeling the elevator shake and then thud, he knew that it had stopped. After around a minute, Jesse got up and began running again. Though exhaustion had settled in while still in the elevator, he still found this small bit of energy that allowed him to keep moving.
Taking twists and turns around the huge building, he reached its underwater section, the place where he came from. Jesse quickly searched through his second potion of underwater breathing, so that he had it in the ready for when he had to leave.
Jesse opened another door, just to be met with Herobrine holding his sword up high and ready to bring it down upon him…
A/N: Hope you enjoyed this!
Yes, my Herobrine is Minecraft Darth Vader, lol. This scene is pretty much based on a scene in Fallen Order. If you know the game and you haven't finished it yet, uhmmm… spoilers?
I will try and get the first chapter as soon as possible. Until then, have a good time in quarantine!
