Achievement

Whenever John hears people talk to him about his relationship with his roommate as if it is impossible, John gets annoyed. He cannot understand why people see it as if it is some sort of achievement, as if he has done something impossible.

When John talks to Sherlock, he has no trouble understanding him; he knows Sherlock is highly intelligent, which hardly does his genius justice but John does not know any other word to call it. However, because he understands it and accepts it, he can accept other things more easily as well.

He could see why the reactions of most people are so alien to him, why he is so blunt with his customers; Sherlock treats people like he would treat someone with his intelligence.

Understanding Sherlock really is no difficulty for him. And the next person who talks to him as if understanding the beautiful intelligent man is an achievement will be punched in the face.
