Like seriously… What are you doing here!? Go and watch it! Like right now! Stop reading this and find a way to watch the episode!
Okay, with that out of the way, lets get back to the story!
Chapter 6: Points of View
(Blu's POV)
As I turned to face my father, the look on his face told me he was more than prepared to expect my reaction to his statements he made. However I knew if I didn't speak my mind, I would just regret it later.
"Sir, you honestly expect me to believe you lost hope." I said sternly.
"Captain, you must understand, this is a fight we cannot win, the Empire has the means to destroy us entirely." My father replied with a cold tone in his voice.
"What I understand is that we just came back from destroying an Imperial research facility with minimal losses, if we can do that, what can the Empire do to us." I argued back.
"This is different captain, very different." My father keeping his ground and began walking away, but I wasn't finished as I continued speaking as my father's back was turned to me.
"What would mother say if she saw you now?" I taunted my father, not caring if my words hurt him and others around us now looked towards us. "She sacrificed her life for mine, she fought so that I could live and I'm fighting so others can live too." I reminded my father as it was a few tense seconds before he turned back around.
"This is not up for negotiation captain, you and the squadron are to stand down until further notice, if you and anyone else in the squadron try to leave the system, you and anyone else will be court-martialed, is that understood?" My father said more louder as I didn't answer, my father stepping back and coming face to face with me and lowering his voice. "Is that understood captain?"
"No sir, it's not." I replied and left, pushing past my father, not turning back as I decided to find my friends as they were now hanging around in the hangar, obviously hearing about what happened by now.
"Blu, what's going on?" Roberto asked me.
"My father has completely given up, he told me if anyone in the squadron tries to leave, we'll be court-martialed." I said.
"I don't get it, I didn't join the Rebellion just to surrender." Nico agreeing with me.
"Me neither, we should rally those willing to fight, make a stand." Roberto adding.
"No…" I said, surprised at even myself. "Trust me I would more than like to go against the orders of my father, but I can't have anyone get court-martialed and placed in front of firing squad." I sighed.
"But Blu…" Roberto started.
"Please Roberto, just listen, we'll get a chance, sooner or later, we just have to be patient." I urged my friend.
"You know how much I hate that word…" Roberto crossing his wings.
"So what do we do in the meantime?" Nico told me.
"Keep our fighters ready to go at a moment's notice, same as always." I said. "I'll keep track of any updates." I told my friends who both sighed with "Yes sir", they went back to their starfighters.
(David's POV)
I knew Blu would have a very different point of view from mine, being younger and well more naive compared to me, of course he would act like that. However to bring up his mother was something he has hardly ever done and never in front of others, but Blu has a point, what would she have thought of me right now if she could see me… However this wasn't the time to be thinking that, right now it was a critical time with the Alliance looking like it was going to break apart any moment now.
As the visiting council members began their journeys back to their home planets, I was walking with General Draven and Senator Mothma, discussing what we were going to do.
"If the Alliance does break apart, we must consider the possibility that we have to quit." Senator Mothma spoke.
"You mean surrender senator?" I asked.
"Not exactly, just disband the organization, everyone going back to their normal lives, we may have to accept the reality of Imperial rule if it comes to that." The senator expressing her darkest thoughts, thoughts I knew Blu would not accept.
Before I could reply, I heard someone shouting and running up from behind.
"Senator! Senator." A private running up, panting.
"Stop right there, Private." I blocked the man, holding him with my wings as he of course didn't show proper respect.
"Let him speak." Senator Mothma told me as I let the man go as he first calmed himself before speaking.
"Intercepted Imperial transmission, ma'm. Rebels on Scarif." The man reported.
"I need to speak to Admiral Raddus." Senator Mothma requesting.
"He's returned to his ship. He's gone to fight." The man also reported.
I knew what the senator was going to say and I knew Blu was going to be very happy when he heard the news as the senator looked at me.
"General, issue the orders, ready every available starfighter to go join Admiral Raddus' fleet at Scarif." Senator Mothma making the quick decision.
"Yes senator." I saluted and went to go carry out the order…
(Blu's POV)
As the alarms went off and the base's loudspeaker started up, I had the biggest smile on my face as I didn't need to wait long at all…
"Attention all flight personal, please report to your commanders immediately. Attention all flight personnel, please report to your commanders immediately. We have been redirected to Scarif. Pilots, you'll be briefed by your squadron leaders on route." The speaker on the PA system told us as I raced over to my X-Wing. "May the Force be with you."
"You ready Jewel?" I asked as the ladder for me to climb up was brought over, my droid giving me a very happy beep as she was just as ready as I was.
"Didn't expect this change of events." Roberto's voice said to me from behind as I turned to see his face.
"Shouldn't you be running to your X-Wing Roberto?" I teased.
"Hey, just wanted to make sure you got to your's first, besides, Isabella already has my X-Wing all warmed up and ready to go." Roberto told me as we both shared a laugh, but it was broken as my father came up.
"Good, you're both here." My father said as Roberto and I were quiet. "Look I know you two aren't going to refuse to join in on this fight and I know I can't stop you, but I'm going to ask you two to stay towards the back of the squadron."
"Well, as long as we get to fight sir, I wouldn't disobey that order." Roberto said before I could say anything.
"Good, now get to your X-Wing Roberto, I would like to talk to the captain alone." My father told my friend.
"Yes sir." Roberto saluted and ran to his X-Wing.
I took a deep breath as I was still a little cross at my father, but well the look in his eyes told me he was going to be… Well more like a father, as I wondered what was going through his head…
"Look son, I know we have our differences and view points, but I just want to let you know how proud I am of you, becoming the man your mother would be happy with as well." My father spoke to me. "If only she was here…"
And then my father did something he has never done in such a long time and well that only made my thoughts that he felt something bad was going to happen, more apparent… He gave me a hug, right here, right now, as I did feel a little awkward, but my better judgment told me to hug him back, which I did. As he released it, he cleared his throat before speaking again.
"Well, lets get this done and come back to celebrate when we win." My father said as he turned and started to hurry to his X-Wing, but before he could…
"Sir!" I called out as he turned around, I was almost at a loss of words at first, but I did manage… "Good luck and may the Force be with you."
"You too captain." My father smiled as I smiled back, once more hurrying to his X-Wing as I saw him climb up and jump into his cockpit as I then did the same.
"Okay Jewel, lets get going." I said as I started up the engines, joining with the other squadrons as we departed for Scarif, to bring the fight once more to the Empire and show them what the Alliance was capable of.
And I'll leave it off on there…
The next chapter will of course be the arrival at Scarif and the next chapter will be called "At the Gates of Scarif", so a little teaser for next time!
And with that…
See everybird later!
