"When you said you were going to take any chance you could get," Carrie paused to catch her breath. "I didn't think it meant at my job as well."

"I only aim to please babe," Jax gave her a smile before pulling her back in for another kiss.

Before the kiss could get any further or as heated as the previous one, Carrie pulled back. Softly smiling at Jax, "You only aim to please huh?"

"Haven't had any complaints," Jax smugly smirked.

Carrie shook her head, softly laughing. "You're so full of yourself Teller."

"You'll see soon enough babe and then you won't be able to keep your hands off me."

Carrie raised her eyebrow, "You're sounding a little too sure of yourself. How do you know it won't be the other way around? For all you know it could be you who can't keep his hands off me."

"I already can't keep my hands off you," Jax said wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Well you're going to have to try a little harder. At least while at work," Carrie smiled before giving him a quick kiss. "I have to go and finish my rounds but I'll see you later tonight."

Jax reluctantly let her go before swiftly pulling her into one more kiss before she was able to leave the room completely. Both of them were too caught up in the moment that they missed someone watching them.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" Mackenzie glanced at Carrie, taking in her joyful mood. "Did you finally get laid?"

Carrie rolled her eyes, "Is that all you think about?"

"No, I focus on work. It's just that you're in an awfully good mood," Mackenzie shrugged leaning back into the chair.

"Well for your information I'm just in a good mood," Carrie informed before pointing at the redhead. "And it's not because of sex."

"Sure it isn't," Mackenzie took a closer look at her. "You do have a glow but you don't have that I've just been fucked look."

"Will you be quiet," Carried shushed her, looking around them. "You don't have to be so loud or crude about it."

"And you don't have to be a so prude about it," Mackenzie retorted. "Besides no one is paying attention to us."

"Well they could be."

"Carrie, take a look around you, " she motioned around the cafeteria. "They're either too busy eating or they're having their own conversations."

"You still don't have to be so loud," Carrie muttered, causing Mackenzie to laugh.

Carrie quickly put the lasagna into the oven, mentally patting herself on the back for prepping it and freezing it the night before. Now all she had to do was let it cook in the oven while she took a quick shower and got ready.

Hoping, she would ready before Jax arrived. Carrie quickly towel dried herself before putting on her underwear. Wrapping her hair in a towel before putting on her satin robe she had gotten from Victoria's Secret.

She checked on the lasagna, making sure it wasn't burning, before going into her room to finish getting ready. Debating on whether to dress up or wear something casual, she finished drying her hair before getting started on her makeup. Going for a soft natural look, she decided on wearing her favorite short length floral print dress, with spaghetti straps. The light material with its off white and small pink flowers was casual but could be dressed up as well.

She wanted to look nice but she didn't want Jax thinking she had tried too hard either. They weren't on a date but they were having dinner together. So the outfit was good for their non date.

Deeming herself ready she quickly made her way towards the kitchen, once more checking on the lasagna. Before turning down the heat on the oven, leaving it on the warm setting so it wouldn't get cold while she put together a quick salad.

Checking the time, Carrie quickly grabbed the ingredients, thanking whoever came up with the idea of salad kits. She had just finished putting the salad together when her doorbell rang.

Making her way towards the door, she stopped taking a deep breath in while fixing her hair. Before opening the door feeling the butterflies at the sight of Jax standing in front of her holding a small bouquet of mixed flowers.

"You sure do know how to charm some one don't you?" Carrie softly mentioned, inviting him in and taking the flowers from him. "Thank you Jax, they're lovely."

She brought them closer to her nose. Smelling the floral scent before motion for him to follow her. All the while taking in the pink peonies mixed with pink and white roses.

"I told you I aim to please darling," Jax said taking the seat, she motioned for him. Watching as she pulled a vase from under the sink, carefully filling it with water before placing the flowers in it.

"It's the least I could do," Jax shrugged, as Carrie placed the vase in the center of the table. "You cooked dinner after all."

Carrie softly smiled at him before leaning in to give him a kiss. "Well I love them. So thank you."

"I'm glad you do," Jax softly squeezed her hips, taking her in from head to toe. Before biting his lip. "You look good babe. Real good."

"Thank you," Carrie blushed at the compliment, causing Jax to smirk.

Before he could say anything else, she cleared her throat, "I hope you like lasagna. I made that and a salad. Let me fix you a plate."

Dinner had gone smoothly.

They both got to know a little more about themselves through it. Sharing some stories about growing up. Nothing too deep, both deciding on keeping it light and fun. Afterwards, Jax helped her to clean up and put the leftover away. Some of which she had packed up for him to take home later on.

Now they were lounging on the sofa, Jax scrolling through the channels trying to find something to watch.

Carrie watched his eyes light up before he settled in next to her. Placing the remote down, she glanced at the tv and couldn't help laughing. Seeing American Chopper, a show about making custom motorcycles, on. Jax only shrugged giving her a small grin before pulling her into his side.

"Who would have thought the big biker liked to cuddle," Carrie teased looking up at him before resting her head on his chest. "Let me guess you only aim to please."

Jax laughed looking down into her eyes. "Something like that darling," Leaning down for a kiss not being able to resist.

The kiss was meant to be a small one but their chemistry always sparked igniting a fire within the two of them. Taking a small and simple kiss into a passionate embrace, leaving them both breathless.

"I have ice cream or pie if you want something sweet for desert," Carrie breathlessly mentioned, while softly letting out a moan. While Jax placed kisses up and down from her neck to her shoulder. Nibbling here and there before soothing the area with his tongue.

"I have my desert right here babe," Jax gruffly answered before continuing to place kisses on her other side. Smirking as he felt Carrie squeezing his waist with her thighs. Feeling the effects of her soft moans taking effect.

He knew he should stop, deeming it too soon to have sex with her. Not because he didn't want to because he wanted to. The proof was pushing up against his jeans but because she deserved to be taken out on proper dates and to be in a relationship before committing the act.

He was used to taking what he wanted when it was offered but he wanted it to be different with Carrie. She wasn't a hang around or just some girl. Carrie was someone special, she was someone he could see himself in long term relationship with.

The thought alone scared him, causing him to put the breaks on what they were doing. Pulling back, he took in her flushed face and heaving chest as she tried to catch her breath. Causing him to adjust himself underneath her. His body aching for him to just take what she was silently offering but his heart and head were screaming at to run the other way.

He hadn't felt this way since he was in high school with Tara and the memory of how it all ended was the cause for him pulling back. Staring into Carrie's eyes he could clearly see the lust but he could also see an emotion, he couldn't decipher clearly.

It wasn't love, because it was too early for that, but it was the tender look that had him frightened. He didn't know if his heart could take another heartbreak. And that was the reason why he had to get out of there.

There you guys have it. Another chapter. A little bit of Jax and Carrie fluff before he decided to ruin it lol. I mean don't get me wrong its sweet of him to want to wait and change his man whore ways of doing things when it comes to Carrie but will the ghost of Tara's heartbreak get in the way? Especially with her back in town.

What do you guys think is going to happen next? Let me hear some of your theories in the comments below.

Do you think Jax will throw caution to the wind and continue to explore this thing between him and Carrie?

Or will he pull completely back and end what hasn't even started?

If you guys liked it. Don't forget to Comment and Follow.

Continue to stay safe guys and Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it.
