Now before you guys get to reading the new you guys for the votes and for taking your time to read this. I really appreciate it and I have a question for you that I want you guys to answer in the comments below. Make sure you read the note at the end if you usually skip it and don't read it. Also make sure that you comment because the events regarding this story LITERALLY depend on it.

With the new events that had occurred, the fiasco of her ruined date had slipped her mind and that of her friends.

Now, they had bigger things to think about. Like what the results of the DNA test would be. Was it really possible that she was adopted? Her parents would have told her wouldn't they?

Granted, they had divorced when she was thirteen and might not have ended on amicable terms. But they wouldn't have kept something like this quiet at least not for this long. Not something life changing like this.

At least her dad wouldn't as he was the only parent to be of sound mind. Since her mother spent most of her days high and didn't even know what day of the week it was most of the time. But her father was sober and he wouldn't have kept quiet, at least not forever.

So why hadn't he said something? Especially before he died, since she had been there next to him while he was on his death bed. She knew her mother didn't care about anyone but herself. Lucille had always been selfish, caring only about herself and what pleased her. Which ultimately led to the failure of her marriage and a failed relationship with her daughter. Getting too deep into drugs before ultimately suffering an overdose and tragically passing away at the age of forty.

But Sean, he had been the caring one out of the two. He was the one who was always there for her. They had formed a close bond, held no secrets between them. At least she thought they didn't but if the results showed any indication that she was related to Opie. Then her dad had kept something major from her.

Something that she should have been made aware of sooner and by the people she had considered her parents. Or at least by the man who she had looked up to. The man who had set the bar high when it came down to what a father should be. Instead of being told by a stranger, even if that stranger claimed to be her mother.

The waiting was killing her and while she wouldn't admit it. It was slowly starting to interfere with her job, especially if she didn't get her emotions under control. Which was something that she had to do. She couldn't risk putting her patients in jeopardy over something that might not even be true.

Carrie needed to focus and snap herself out of it. She couldn't let herself dwell on theories or emotions. She needed to be focused on the present and on attending her patients.

The rest could come after she got through the day and once she had the results. Until then she had to get her mind off of it.

"Have you heard anything from Robbie?"

Carrie shook her head. "No, he said he'd find me once the results were in."

"Whatever those results say. It doesn't matter," Mackenzie held her hand up. To stop her from arguing or interrupt her. "Yes, it's life changing if they're a match. But ultimately, you're the one in control. What you do with them, is entirely up to you."

"Who would have thought you could be serious?"

"I have my moments," Mackenzie shrugged before laughing. "Besides it's not just sex and drama that lives up here." She said pointing at her head. "I do have some clear thinking going on every now and then."

"Hey I got the results back."

"That was quick," Carrie grabbed the envelope Robbie, the lab tech, was handing her. "I honestly wasn't expecting it until tomorrow at the earliest."

Robbie shrugged. "I had time."

"Anyways, whatever you're hoping to achieve from that," He said, pausing to point at the envelope in her hands. "Good luck. If you need my help again let me know. Just take into consideration that sibling DNA tests are sometimes inconclusive. Since they don't always show accurate results."

"I'll keep that in mind." Carrie nodded, thanking him. Before making her way out of the hospital. Wanting to know the results but not wanting to do it by herself.

Taking her phone out, she dialed and waited for Donna to pick up. Knowing this affected her family as much as it did her. "Hey. I got the results back. You mind if I come over to open them?"

"Not at all, but I'm currently staying with my mom. I'll explain when you get here. I'll send you the address."

"You ready?"

Carrie looked up from the envelope laying on the bed. Shaking her head. "Nope but the longer I wait. The harder it's going to be to deal with whatever this says."

"You want me to open it. Get the hard part out of the way?"

Carrie didn't answer, instead she handed over the envelope as she remained sitting on the edge of the bed. Trying to breathe through her emotions, trying to keep them at bay. Not willing to let herself freak out until she read the results.

Biting her lip as she was handed the paper, waiting for Donna to take a seat next to her. Willing herself to stay calm enough to read the results. Before finally facing her fears and looking down at the piece of paper. The paper that could turn her whole life upside down.

"It's a twenty five percent match," Carrie whispered feeling her heart race. "Siblings tend to share fifty percent while half siblings share a twenty five percent. Which if what Stahl had said was true. That would make me and Opie half siblings. Since, we would share the same father but different mothers."

"So, that means it's true. At least the paternal side to Stahl's story."

"Yeah." Carrie whispered feeling the tears well up in her eyes. "Apparently my whole life was a lie until this point."

Donna hugged her, squeezing her as her tears turned to sobs. Crying not only for the lie she'd grown up in but because her life was a complete cluster fuck now. If this had proven to be true what other theory was true as well. Was she really related to Stahl? The woman who was set on taking the club down.

"Jax stood me up."

Donna furrowed her eyebrows as she stared at Carrie who had managed to stop crying. Not sure if she had heard her right.

Carrie glanced up at her, before nodding. "He did and he's ignored me since then. I asked Gemma without telling her about me and him dating. if you could even call it that but she confirmed that he'd gone to the hospital when Abel was taken out of the NICU. She said they left about an hour or so afterwards. So he would have been late but he would have shown up."

Carrie shook her head looking away. "Only he didn't. I called and text him but he never answered. Then I went to check on Abel, hoping to find his father there. Talk to him, clear this whole mess up. But he was in there with Tara and at first I thought they were talking about Abel."

"But they were too close and it looked like it was too intimate of a conversation to be about him. You've known Jax longer Donna. Do you think he'd get back with Tara and not tell me?"

Donna's heart broke for Carrie. Cursing Jax in her head for doing this. "Honestly, I don't know. I'd like to think he wouldn't but I honestly don't know. But if he did, then he's a bigger asshole, then I could imagine."

Donna sighed before hugging Carrie again. "Let's get through phase two first and then we'll deal with Jax. If he did cheat on you, you know I'll castrate him myself. He won't get away with hurting you. You know that right? Especially, not once Opie and Piney know the truth. You're not alone anymore. You never were. You're family now. We stick together."

"Even if you and Opie are having problems?" Carrie questioned, taking into consideration what Donna had shared earlier. Knowing Donna was hurting too.

"We'll get our shit together eventually. Don't worry about that. We're still family no matter what."

As you all know in the show Tara wasn't able to handle the guilt of what happened with Kohn and she told Jax it was affecting her sleep. Then she told him about going back to Chicago which resulted in him getting angry and the conversation eventually leads to her staying.

Now I have written five other chapters following the timeline of Season 1. For a total of seventeen chapters completed. I'm currently writing Chapter 18 as I have gone back to watch the show. Trying to refresh my memory on events and trying to figure out how to incorporate Carrie into it. Since for the most part I'm following the show's plot line. Changing a few things here and there to fit my own storyline/agenda.

When I came onto that specific scene in episode 13, I saw it playing out two different ways. Which is where YOU, the readers come in, in helping me decide which version ends up getting posted and written as I finish Chapter 18. Based on what YOU want to see happen.

Now I can write it one of two ways.

The first being:

Tara does end up leaving to Chicago and leaves Jax. Only this time for reasons that will become obvious as you continue to read. Yes, he's saddened and angry but he doesn't fall into the downward spiral we all know he went through the first time.

Jax works things out with Carrie and the events in the following seasons involving Tara, at least up until Seasons 3-4, now involve Carrie. With some slight changes since I'm going to adjust things to fit and flow smoothly with my storyline. Obviously adding my own my own scenes. Using the show's plot line as a base in regards to events.

The Second would be:

Tara stays like she does in the show.

Carrie and Jax, FOR NOW, don't continue their relationship. Instead going their separate ways.

Carrie trying to move on and maybe even taking an offer from David Hale for lunch or dinner. While Jax and Tara's relationship progresses, HOWEVER, Jax begins to realize that he's holding onto the past because he was scared of loving someone the way he did Tara and getting hurt the same way. Since not everyone is cut out for the life of being tied to a SON.

And he thought he couldn't feel what he felt for Tara then, for someone else but Carrie showed up and proved him wrong. Making him come to the realization that he needs to move on and stop holding onto a past relationship.

(Side note before getting back on topic: Which is the reason he's been pumping the brakes on his relationship with Carrie and acting like an asshole by ignoring Carrie.)

Jax tries to work things out with Carrie but since she's been hurt by him before. She isn't so forgiving. Instead wanting to remain friends with him for the time being.

However, there are going to be certain events that push them closer together. While others might push them apart before ending with them together.

Now in my opinion I'm leaning more towards the second option. ONLY because in the ORIGINAL version which I have saved on a usb. Before deciding to take it down and rewrite it. Which led to the version you are reading now. The plot was similar to the second option which if I'm honest I'm still partial to.

As you can see since Option Two has more details on where the plot could go without giving it completely away. If any of you happen to be old readers, that read this story before. Then you know what I'm talking about.

If not and you want to know more let me know in the comments below and I'll message you regarding the original plot. Or if there's any more of you who want to know then I can make like a separate story or chapter to explain it. But just know that in this version I would be changing certain things from that original plot.

Since this is already turning out to be a long note. The reason why I'm asking you, is because I want my readers to be involved. I want to have that communication between writer and reader.
