Chapter 3 A bond forged in death

Somewhere in Konoha

Naruto quickly helping the unknown girl out of the bag, he senses something hurling at him with incredible speed. With a quick push, the unknown girl goes flying to a near by bush and just evades a flying kunai which ended up in Naruto right shoulder. Startled the unknow girl gets up and sees the kunai in her saviours' shoulder, to her and the mysterious ninjas surprise Naruto removes the kunai and waited as the wound only took a few second to heal completely.

Impossible thought the mysterious ninja as he watched a wound which would normally take a few days to heal, completely disappear in a few seconds like it never happened to begin with.

The unknown girl had the same thought. If Naruto didn't do what he did she wouldn't be alive right now and she knew that as well. With a quick twirl of the kunai Naruto throws it right back, but instead of it hitting its target it passes right by him and plunges its self into a tree splitting the wood. Naruto let out a sigh, he really wished he started practicing kunai throwing at this point.

The man looking back at the tree sees the amount of damage this kid did, the wood split and only the handle of the kunai was barely visible, if that ending up hitting him it would of went right through him. Not wanting to take another chance he decides to end this quick before this kid gets any better aim. As he launched himself towards Naruto, he goes to punch Naruto in the gut hoping to stun him for a few second, so he and the girl, his target, can get out of here before drawing anymore attention to themselves. As his fist approaches Narutos stomach, Naruto quickly blocks the hit with both of his arms protecting his gut. This was the wrong move since now that both his arms are doing something, he couldn't block the incoming punch to his face.

As he is sent flying he is stopped when he slams into a tree. Thinking that this would knockout the kid the unknown ninja goes to grab the girl again. The girl seeing this quickly makes a run for it towards the forest hoping to lose him in the trees, but he was ninja and no real ninja would lose someone so easily. As she continues running, the unknown ninja catches her by hood of her hoodie and stops her from running anymore.

I have spent far too long in this village then I have to, its time to leave.

As he was about to knock at the young girl, he felt something strange, something he could not quite describe. He has felt killing intent before but this wasn't it, it was like his entire being was terrified not just his mind. Normal killing intent freezes the mind but this can be controlled with training, but at this moment he couldn't do anything. His entire body was shaking uncontrollably, his heart was beating faster then thought possible, he was sweating up a storm so much so that his hood on his cloak slid off.

His entire body was yelling at him to run, no begging him to run, but he overpowered it. He wanted to see what was causing this to happen. As he looked up, he saw something sat upon a tree branch, something he immediately regret looking at. Up on the branch was a figure with crimson red eyes glowing in the night with a black slit as pupils, behind this figure was 9 tails swaying back and forth like they were excited for something. The only word he could let out was.

"Demon."

And then he was gone. The girl rubbing her eyes to see if she was just seeing things immediately jolted her head to the side after hear an ear screeching yell that could be heard every where in the village. And then silence, silence that allowed you to hear the wind in the tress and the birds flying above. Then out of no where a headband fell out of sky and landed right Infront of her, a very bloodied one. After a minute of shock and waiting anbu appeared Infront of her and the Hokage shortly after with other ninjas. When asked what happened all she could say was that a talking animal with red eyes and 9 tails saved her from a strange man. She handed the headband over and the Hokage and other noticed it was from Kumo, she was told to explain everything, and she did. She was later reunited with her parents.

Hokage Office

The Hokage and other shinobi all looked at the bloody headband and gulped at the site of it. Not because some other shinobi was in the village and just tried to kidnap a member from the Hyūga Clan, no they were worried because they looked all over that forest and found no blood and no body. It was impossible since there had to be some blood laying around, but there wasn't any not even the famed Inuzuka Clan with there excellent sense of smell could get anything, its like he disappeared.

They knew something happened because the young girl told them what happened and they knew who exactly helped her. But he was gone too, Naruto wasn't in the village or at least they couldn't find him. This was pretty common with Naruto, if Naruto didn't want to be found he wasn't and not even the best trackers and sensor types could find him. But now wasn't the time Hiruzen needed to know where Naruto was so he can find out what happened to the body of the Kumo ninja. So then Hiruzen set up a team of people he could personally trust to find Naruto, for all honesty he didn't care about the body he just wanted to make sure Naruto was ok. Naruto went up against a Jounin level shinobi, now even though Naruto might be fast and strong for his age, actually even for some adults age he still wasn't trained yet so it wouldn't matter.

The group consisted of Hiashi Hyūga, Fugaku Uchiha and his son Itachi Uchiha and also Kakashi Hatake. Hiashi and the two Uchiha's were selected because of there eyes, Hiashi having the Byakugan and the Uchiha's having the Sharingan. Those two set of eyes would help out tremendously in locating the young fox-like boy, Kakashi on the other hand was chosen because of his summons the eight ninken. With everything set he sends out the team with one goal find Uzumaki Naruto.

For Kakashi's Ninken it was extremely hard to find a scent, every person had one but when it came down to Naruto's it was next to impossible to find it. They sometimes got traces of it but then it would just vanish and they would have to start all over again. The Hyūga and the Uchiha's weren't having much luck ether, it was only when Itachi saw a couple of foxes running the same direction did he finally find him. Naruto was completely surrounded by foxes as they cuddle him and laid around him almost like the were comforting him, as Itachi tried to get a better look the foxes would not let him get close but Itachi could see from where he stood. Naruto was sleeping, he was covered in dried up blood all around his chest and hands, there were also streams of tears still visible on Narutos face from when he was crying.

His first kill. Those words came to Itachis mind as he could only guess that after Naruto killed the Kumo ninja, he started to cry and breakdown so the foxes came out to help him since by the looks of it and how they are protecting Naruto they have some sort of relationship with him and a close one too.

Itachi flaring his Chakra signals the rest of his team to which they all show up soon after. The remaining three members were a bit shocked at what they were seeing but Itachi quickly told them his thoughts on what happened and they all seemed to agree. After all no matter how, strong you are or cold when it comes down to your first kill there is no stopping the aftermath. The team of four decided to leave Naruto here in fear they might start a war with the foxes, after all there was a reason why the fox clan never allowed anyone to use them as summons. The foxes didn't like humans they were week and not one human had their respect, well Hashirama and Madara did but they were long since dead and no other human had ever gained their trust or respect. I guess no other one except Naruto.

Hokage Monument Fourths Head

It has been one week since Itachi found Naruto and Naruto was currently sat upon the fourths head watching as the sun goes down. Just as the sun went down someone started to walk towards Naruto, since Naruto didn't sense any bad intensions from him, so he didn't bother moving, besides he already knows who it is.

"Hello Naruto-kun."

Naruto looks up its him again, for the past week Itachi Uchiha has come every day to check up on him. He didn't know if this was an order from the Hokage or it was personal. He later found out that it wasn't an order since he asked the old man and he told him that maybe Itachi is just looking out for him. Naruto also asked Itachi but instead of giving a response he just smiles and ruffles his hair. Which bugs the young fox boy, but only makes Itachi smile even more. After what happened that day the Hokage was both angry at Naruto and proud at the same time. Naruto was also giving a sizable reward for protecting the Hyūga Heirs by both the village and the Hyūga Clan.

But of course, not everything can go right, after the incident word quickly spread that the 'demon' killed someone and every civilian was calling for his head scared that he may kill them next. It didn't matter that it was an enemy shinobi who was trying to kidnap a child, no since it was Naruto, they didn't care that he was just helping and was ordering for him to be killed. But all of them were immediately silence by orders of the Hokage, and to just rub salt on the wound the Hokage and the Hyūga personally announced there thanks to Naruto for saving a child of the leave village.

Now when Naruto walked in the village everyone would run inside their homes or businesses, but once again this didn't bother the young fox since he was rarely in the village still.

"Hello Itachi checking up on me again"?

Itachi smiled and ruffled Narutos hair to which Naruto swiped away his hand.

"Yes Naruto-kun but that's not the only reason I'm hear."

Naruto then met Itachis eyes and waited to hear the real reason he was here.

"You see Naru-kun."

Itachi knew how much he hated that name but still did it anyways, because even when Naruto is mad its impossible not to think he isn't adorable with the face he makes and his fox features.

"I was told by the Hokage that you were training already and wanted to see how that is going."

Naruto sighed

"The only thing I can work on is my physical training since I can't use Ninjutsu yet until the old mans student arrives. And how that is going is the same as usual, I run around the village do push up, sit ups and squats. Then the foxes and I play tag which helps me train in my agility and reaction time since they are pretty hard to catch."

The Hokage told Itachi about Narutos little 'problem' and he understood. But still all of that is pretty impressive for a five-year-old, then again you can't really compare a normal five-year-old to Naruto. Naruto generally had far better speed and physical strength then any one could have, even if they were trained since birth. Itachi smiles at seeing the young fox boy.

"Have you by any chance trained in Taijutsu yet"?

"No. The Old man gave me some scrolls on it but it never felt right, so he then gave me a scroll on a style called The Humming Bird Technique, he told me it was the same technique the fourth used. Although it felt like a good match, my speed became a problem I was too fast and couldn't preform some of its moves. So, the old man told me that since I was faster than the fourth was that I should use his technique as a base form and evolve It to my own liking."

Itachi the smiled and ruffled Narutos hair again. It was pretty amazing hearing how hard Naruto is training and it reminded him of himself and how hard he trained at that age.

"Then shall we spar I want to see how far along your technique is."

Naruto smiled and he and Itachi went to an open clearing in the forest behind the Hokage Monument. Naruto and Itachi were sparing for hours, it was already well past morning and the only reason they stopped was because an anbu came to call Itachi since he had an assignment to do. During the entire training session Itachi was giving Naruto pointers on how to improve his style better. When Itachi left Naruto just plopped down and slept, as for Itachi when he got a fair distance away for Naruto, he immediately plopped on the floor looking up at the sky and panting really hard. When asked what was wrong Itachi told his friend about his spar with Naruto and the young fox-like-boy's limitless stamina. This got a chuckle from his friend and after giving Itachi a break they left to do their job.

Later that day Naruto was called to the Hokage's office and when he arrived, he saw a strange man with long spiky hair going down to his back. He then saw a giant scroll on his back and immediately knew this man was the Hokage's old student, and he was here to help Naruto get his Chakra back.

A/N Okay Chapter 3 is done. Sorry it took some time I wanted to release this chapter yesterday but I just did not have it in me. Also, Narutos and Itachis relationship I want to make it little brother and big brother type of relationship. But I just don't know if I'm going do the Uchiha Massacre. On one hand I could and make it so that before Itachi leaves he tries to kill Naruto, thus making Naruto go even more darker and colder. Or on the other hand let them live and have another even that pushes Naruto past the breaking point. Ill leave that to you guys are you pro massacre or against it leave it in the reviews.
