Ummm hello everyone… I'm sorry ok. I know I haven't updated in two days maybe three depending on when this chapter comes out. If its not out on the 6th which is today it will be out on the 7th and that's a promise. I've just had a lack of motivation, until I was watching YouTube and I started to write this chapter in my head and just decided to put it on paper or online what ever you call it. Well lets just get this started shall we.

Chapter 4 The Fox Clan Heir

Naruto stood still looking over the man Infront of him, he was quite old not as old as the Hokage but still old. But at how the two were talking to each other they definitely had a close relationship, the two were talking to each other Naruto not really paying attention since all he was doing was sizing the man up. He knew who the man was you would have to be living under a rock not to know him, he was Jiraiya the Legendary Toad Sage and Hiruzens old student. After the two caught up Jiraiya handed a book over to Hiruzen who immediately gasped and thanked his former student, he himself wonder if today was the old mans birthday and he had forgotten to get him a give he then decided after this was done he would fined something to get the old man.

The two finished Hiruzen motions Naruto to come closer to meet the man.

"Naruto this is Jiraiya my former student and the one I told you about that will help you with your problem."

Jiraiya turned and faced Naruto as both stared at each other and waited to see who the first one to speak would be. After a couple of minutes of uncomfortable silence Naruto spoke up wanting to get this over with.

"So Jiraiya-san you can remove this seal from me." Naruto said questioning to make sure the toad sage could really help and not just make things worse.

"Yes, I can but I am highly against this, Sensei told me everything and filled me in on what happened. We have no idea what will happen, for all we know as soon as I remove the seal you could be killed by the Kyubi's Chakra, or become the Kyubi its self and then we would have to deal with it again and this time I don't think we could win.

Hiruzen was worried his student was right there was no way of knowing what would happen and if Naruto became the Kyubi the village would not be prepared for an attack like that. As he lifted his head and looked towards Naruto, he was shocked, there was no worry on the boy's face none at all in fact he looked board at the lecture he was receiving from his old student. Jiraiya too saw the annoyed and board look on the boy's face and was about to say something when Naruto cut him off.

"Nothing will happen its my Chakra and all its doing is just returning back to me." Naruto said with no emotion grazing his face, none what so ever.

"NO, ITS NOT YOUR CHAKRA!" Jiraiya yelled out absolutely furious at the naïve boy Infront of him.

Hiruzen was shocked he could count the amount of times he has seen Jiraiya this mad on one hand. He was cut out of his shock when Jiraiya continued.

"That Chakra is not yours at least not entirely. According to my reports on what Sensei gave me the Chakra flowing in you right now is just a watered-down version of the Kyubis, so we have no idea what will happen when the highly potent Chakra comes in contact with what you have now."

Jiraiya rubs his eyes and continues but in a much softer tone.

"Look Naruto, you are my student's son and he named me your godfather so as your godfather I do not feel comfortable on doing this. The last thing I want is for something to go wrong and you end up killed, I would have failed your father and your mother at that point."

"You already failed them." Naruto says as both Jiraiya and Hiruzen look at him with eyes widened to the point of them falling out. He himself seeing that those two aren't able to speak he decided to continue.

"You say that my father appointed you as my godfather then that would mean you were supposed to take me in when they died, you were supposed to be my guardian and watch over me. You already failed them and me for five years now in fact."

Those words hit Jiraiya like a truck, he was right he had failed them already since he didn't take Naruto in. Although not completely his fault he did want to take Naruto but the village needed him for his spy network but still that was not excuse he should have just taken him still. Hiruzen was the next one to speak.

"Now hold on Naruto Jiraiya wanted to take you but the village needed his skills and his spy network, it was crucial for the village." Hiruzen said not wanting his former student to take all the blame.

"So even before I was able to speak this village had it out for me, deciding that a new born child was to live as an orphan when in fact he still had family, just could not ever know about it."

Both Hiruzen and Jiraiya knew this was a very dangerous topic, one wrong word and Naruto could decide to abandon the village or seek out its destruction. Even the anbu hiding were preparing themselves, they knew how fast Naruto truly was so all were sending Chakra to their legs preparing to launch themselves at him if needed to.

"Its my fault, I should have taken you either way even if I had to fight my way out of here it was my job to watch and protect you and I failed. I failed all three of you." Jiraiya said as he found the floor to be the most interesting thing he has ever seen.

Hiruzen was about to speak until Naruto beat him to it.

"Look old sage it doesn't really matter to me, if I had gone with you, we would have been always on the move and I enjoy relaxing by rivers and lakes or under large trees. They are the perfect places to nap." Naruto says truly believing every word he said.

At that everyone relaxed and released a giant sigh. The anbu stopped pumping Chakra to their legs and relaxed for a bit to calm down their nerves. Anbu were highly trained killing machines who were supposed to fear no man and obey their Hokage every order, but just thinking of having to chase down or come in contact with one of Narutos kicks or punches made them nervous. Jiraiya and Hiruzen also calmed down a bit and both smiled at each other. Although Jiraiya was a bit mad at being called old sage but he let it go thinking it would be a one-time thing, boy was he wrong.

"I understand why you both are worried, but you also have to understand where I am coming from. I can feel it I can feel my Chakra my true Chakra sealed away slowing leaking into me as the days go on, its their right inside at me but yet so far away from me. Its like a piece of me is locked away and all I get is crumbs of it a day."

Both shinobi looked at the floor with a sadden face, they understood where he was coming from and surprised at seeing Naruto for once show emotion in his eyes. They both looked at each other and nodded and Jiraiya spoke up.

"Alright Naruto ill do it even though I really don't want to ill do it for you." He said with a smile looking at Naruto.

Naruto thanked him and waited for instructions on what to do.

"Let's go behind the Hokage Monument there is more privacy and no one is there." Hiruzen said getting a nod from the other two.

And with a swirl of leaves the three of them leave for their destination as the anbu follow shortly.

Behind Hokage Monument

Everyone arrived to an open clearing with a small lake near them, Naruto knew this place quite well since this was his favorite spot in the village. As soon as they arrived Jiraiya motioned Naruto to lay done on his back, which he did. After asking if he was sure about this Jiraiya proceeded to flash some hand signs as the seal on Narutos stomach emerged, his hand acting as the key he put his finger tips over Narutos seal and turned it to the left. Everyone watched as the seal slowing opened until it did and started to fade away, looking up at Naruto the boy was not in any pain or looked like he was about to transform to a titan of a fox any time soon.

"Is it done"? Naruto said wondering if it worked or not since he didn't feel anything.

"Um yeah I mean the seal is gone, how do you feel"? Jiraiya said kind of surprised that nothing big happened. He would later curse himself for thinking that.

Naruto was about to respond when he felt a shock go through his body, dropping down to his knees he started to scream which could only be described as unimaginable torcher. Hiruzen and Jiraiya ran towards him when a shock wave of Chakra escaped Narutos body and sent them both hurling towards a nearby tree, the anbu quickly reacting to this appeared behind them and caught them before they crashed into the tree. Both men thanked the anbu and looked over at the boy, what they saw was unbelievable.

Narutos Chakra was pulsating, they could see his red chakra leave his body in a dome around him creating a giant crater as his ear screeching screams of pain envelop the forest. Everyone was confused they didn't know what to do they couldn't get close or his Chakra would kill them but they couldn't just stand there and watch him in complete agony.

"Fuck this." Jiraiya said as he prepared himself to jump in there and try to repress Narutos Chakra with his own even if it kills him. As he launched himself, he was knocked off to the side by an unknown being, as he got up and everyone looked at who did it, they saw a black fox the same size as Jiraiya looking down at him.

"Fool, as soon as you touched his Chakra you would have been burnt to ash in mere seconds." The unknown fox said as he received a confused look from everyone there.

The fox seeing their faces sighed as he went to explain himself, just as he was about to more foxes came out of the woods and surrounded Naruto not affected by his Chakra what so ever.

"We are the only ones who can be around him, his Chakra does not affect us since he is one of us. There is nothing you can do step back and don't get in our way humans." The fox said as everyone got into an offensive style prepared for anything.

"Who the hell are you and get away from him NOW!" Jiraiya yelled out as he prepared to attack.

"We do not have to listen to your pathetic commands, we are the powerful Fox Clan and we are here to help Naruto through his awakening." The black fox said as he looked towards Naruto and the other foxes.

The Shinobi were confused, they were here to help Naruto awaken? What does that mean awaken to what? All of them had the same thought. But it was Hiruzen who spoke up.

"Awaken? Awaken to what? Naruto is just a boy he's human what do you want him to awaken into"?

"Huh… Naruto is not human far from it. He is the son of our master the Kyubi himself and the heir to the grate Fox Clan. We will take him to our realm and there he will be able to unlock his true power. We fox have been waiting for this day and it finally has arrived." The fox said as he moved closer to Naruto to the point where if he reached out, he could feel the black fox fur.

"In our realm is the only place he will be able to awaken, if he stays here, he will die." The fox said as the shinobi look at each other not knowing what to do.

None of them wanted Naruto to die but they didn't trust the fox either after all foxes are cunning creatures. Jiraiya was about to attack when Hiruzen summoned his adamantine staff and stopped him from continuing. Jiraiya had a look of confusion wondering what his sensei was doing, it was then Hiruzen spoke up.

"Will he come back"? those were the only words the old man spoke and still they were the most important ones.

"That choice is up to him our master, if he wishes to return then he can we only follow and protect him as both his summons and his family, that is our job." The fox said as all other foxes around Naruto nodded at that and prepared to leave.

Hiruzen sighed and lowered his staff, although he doesn't want Naruto to leave if it means saving his life, he will allow the foxes to take him.

"Very well then please save him." Hiruzen said as a few tears fell from his eyes not wanting to see his grandson in anymore pain.

Jiraiya was shocked about this but understood, Naruto was in unbelievable pain and the only ones who could save him are the foxes in their realm. As a few tears also escape his eyes Jiraiya says nothing and allows the foxes to take him.

With a simple nod from the black fox both him and the foxes vanish in a cloud of smoke with Naruto. After a few second the forest is deadly silent with it once being so lively. After a few minutes of everyone just staring at the spot Naruto was once in Hiruzen ordered everyone to leave and speak of nothing of this day.

Three Years later

Konoha Village

Three years have past since Naruto was taken by the Fox Clan to awaken his power, during the past years the civilian population couldn't have been happier. The demon was gone and they didn't know if he died or just left, what ever it was they were just happy that he was gone for good. Or so they thought. But there were some who missed Naruto dearly, ever since he left Hiruzen was depressed he didn't know if he would ever get to see him again and the thought of never seeing him again was killing him. For the first couple of weeks he had non stop council meetings about Narutos whereabouts and although he had personally told some of the clan heads about Naruto, he did not mention it to the elders or the civilian council. When they asked, he said that Naruto was away and will return some day, that was all he gave them.

After a couple of months, they stopped asking which the old man was happy with. Jiraiya left after that day to continue his work for the village and his research for his books. He also asked Hiruzen that when Naruto comes back to send him a message right away which Hiruzen of course agreed to. Many other people missed the young boy but none more then a shy Hyūga girl who was very upset when she found out he left, she still has not thanked him yet for saving her and now he's gone and she may never get the chance again.

It was late at night the villager's shops were closing and kids were being picked up from the academy and parks, on top the highest poll in the village which towered the Hokage tower itself stood a very familiar person. As the light of the moon hit his face you could clearly see what he looked like, there stood a man with glowing crimson eyes which would put fear in demons themselves with black slits for pupils. His red hair much longer flowing down to the middle of his back, his ears now twice the size as when he was younger stood a good six inches from the top of his head making them all together tower over 9 inches. As you follow behind him you could see nine huge tails hovering well above his head swaying side to side never getting tangled in its self, one could say they looked like they were protecting the one they were attached to. As you look upon his body you could clearly tell that he has been through harsh training, though not overly buffed his body was well toned. For anyone who knew him the most surprising change was his height, he was taller than anyone his age although not a giant for anyone that knew him could tell he definitely had a growth spurt. He wore black baggy anbu pants which were baggy over his man hood and thighs but seemed to get tight over his ankles, and for shoes he wore medical bandages covering every inch of his feet and went up to where his pants stop at his ankles.

He was Naruto Uzumaki and he has returned from his time away.

A/N Well that's chapter four. Hope you enjoyed and sorry it was late I'm trying to get a chapter out a day if not every second day so sorry if I sometimes can't do that. Life is a bitch.
