Chapter 3

Sonny exited her car and walked up to Cassandra's' building.

Now let's run a flashback on Cassandra.

Cassandra was the only daughter of one of America's humble millionaires. She had inherited a vast fortune from her parents when they passed in a car crash ten years ago. She was close to turning sixty in a year or so but she remained every bit stylish and elegant as she had in the beginning.

Cassandra's father had been a hotelbaron .The original Cassandra's had been named after the present Cassandra's grandmother. The company had now expanded worldwide with exquisite Cassandra's' in places like London, Paris and Rome. (It's a long list and she's super rich you get the gist.)

The Cassandra's building in Wisconsin was kind of like the central point of their abode. It was an extravagant affair.

The building had several outlets and many smaller establishments attached to it. It was huge and decorated with several lovely stained glass windows. It was a popular destination for the rich and sophisticated but Cassandra's also featured a more affordable price range.

It included a small café for teens, a restaurant for nights out (there was another restaurant amid the hotel rooms for the staying guests), a sandwich bar and a smoothie station. It also had a special hang out dedicated to the Association and people in distress. It had a stage for performance, a bar and a therapy center.

This enclosure was called REVOLUTION. It may just turn out to be the most important part of all our character's lives.

Cassandra also occupied a floor of the building as her own living quarters.

Sonny walked into the café and sat at one of the quaint tables covered with snowy white table clothes. Apparently Rodrick wasn't there yet.

Rodrick had almost been like an older brother for Sonny nearly all her life. Her dad had asked him to look after her when he left for the army and Rodrick had always honored that promise. He cared deeply for Sonny and was perhaps the most protective.

Presently he walked up to Sonny with a lopsided grin on his face. Rodrick had dyed his hair blonde early on and the color now characteristically stuck. His eyes were a warm and friendly hazel brown right now but they could glare like fire when he was roused.

[Guys Rodrick is almost certainly (in my fantasy) played by COLE SPROUSE. Like how he looks in the Suite Life movie.]

Rodrick was a wonderful soul. He was everything Sonny was. Honest, hardworking, kindhearted and fun-loving. He was upright but never hurt any one's feelings. He went to Harvard with Maria and came back as a computer scientist with honors.

"Hey Rodrick" said Sonny with a smile.

"Hey, so how was the meeting?"

"Let's just say, as usual. I think it was pretty normal."

"I just had a frightful row with my boss" Rodrick and Maria worked at the same place and frequently got on each other's nerves.

"Well, let's just eat and get over all our troubles" said Sonny

They ordered their regulars .A chicken burger with fries and a turkey sub. The waiter then brought over two shakes: a Choco berry banana smoothie and a caramel Frappuccino.

Sonny and Rodrick chatted on various everyday things and relaxed.

Always one to make a sweeping entrance, Cassandra announced herself to the two seated. "Darlings, how wonderful .Such a pleasant surprise to see you here." She said in her forever frisky voice.

"Hey, Cassandra. Not much of a surprise since we come here every Thursday. Same table. New drinks. But still essentially the same atmosphere." Said Rodrick jovially.

"I know. Several life changing decisions made in this exact table. Proud to own it "came Cassandra's reply.

"It's true enough." Said Sonny. The spot brought back nostalgic reminiscences.

"So Rodrick" cornered Cassandra. "How's the saloon doing?"

Yes Rodrick owned a saloon. It has quite a story attached to it.

"You should know, unless you've been going to the competition" said Rodrick in a mock threatening voice.

'I would'nt dream of doing that since the last time. Your wife almost bit my head off." said Cassandra faking fear.

You see this saloon is kind of important.
