"You still haven't been feeling well?"

Carrie looked into David's blue eyes, seeing the concern displayed. "It's just been stressful, even before everything with Donna happened. Work doesn't help either, at least, it doesn't help some days."

"Then why don't you take some time off work? Have Mary look after the kids and help out Donna for a few days?" David questioned as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"I've thought about it, but I haven't fully decided on it," Carrie shrugged, trailing her fingers along his jawline. "And I can't ask Mary to do that, she's already helped out a lot. Besides I already feel bad about skipping out on her last night."

"She knows you have your own life. Besides it got your mind off things for one night."

Carrie turned, placing her chin on his bare chest, to look up at him. Placing a kiss on the center of it, while his fingers trailed down her back. "Yeah it did, but it was only supposed to be for dinner. Not dessert," she said giving him a pointed look. "I thought we weren't going to move too fast."

"Well, dessert looked too good to pass up," he answered giving her a smirk, leaning forward to kiss her. Lingering just a little longer, before settling his head back on the pillow. "I know we did, but it happened. Are you regretting it?"

Carrie sighed, looking down as she drew random patterns on his skin. "No, but we've barely been together for a couple of weeks," she answered looking up at him. "I'm just worried that you'll view me differently because I slept with you so soon."

"I'm not thinking any differently. I still care about you and I still view you the same," David shrugged, looking at her. "The fact that we slept together last night or if we would have done it months from now. It doesn't make a difference and it doesn't change the way I feel about you."

"Why do you always have the right words to say?" Carrie softly laughed, shaking her head.

"What, you'd prefer me to be a douche bag about it?"

"No, but you make it hard for a girl not to feel self conscious about her slutty behavior."

"I kind of liked your slutty behavior last night," David said, trying to keep a straight face at her shocked face. "Maybe we should have a repeat."

Carrie laughed shaking her head, as David leaned in but she caught the time on the clock. "Shit, I'm going to be late for work," she said, softly pushing against his chest. Quickly disentangling herself from the sheets. Causing David to sigh in frustration as he laid back down.

"I'll make it up to you another time," Carrie said as she finished dressing into her clothes.

"I'm going to hold you to that," David said pointing at her, as she stood in the doorway to his bedroom. Watching as she smiled and blew him a kiss before turning away.

"Be safe and have a good day," Carrie called out.

"You too," he answered moments before the front door slammed shut behind her.

"Zobelle is practically a saint. Owns 5 cigar shops, deacon at his church, widower, got one kid."

"Yeah and last place he set up shop was in San Bernadino and 6 months later War Boys MC crumbled," Jax said shaking his head, looking around the garage, at the rest of the guys huddled together. "The whole crew went to jail for aggravated assault for attacking Zobelle's shop."

"War boys run guns," Clay pointed out.

Jax nodded. "They did."

"Why would Zobelle care about guns?" Half sack questioned from his position next to Tig.

"Because these assholes are preparing for the great race war," Clay answered. "And it ain't no coincidence that the whole club got picked up for aggravated assault. There has to be more to the story there."

"Zobelle came at us hard," Tig looked around. Remembering their first encounter with Zobelle and his cronies. "Cocky threat, no fear."

"He wanted a reaction," Jax pointed out. Knowing it was a tactic to get the club riled up, in hopes that they would act upon it.

"So what?" Chibs, spoke up, shrugging nonchalantly. "We own the law in the Charming."

"Unser not hale," Jax reminded them.

"Maybe he got Hale," Opie stated.

Jax shook his head. "If Hale could be bought, we'd have him."

"Maybe we never offered him the right payoff." Clay shrugged before looking towards Opie. "Isn't your sister seeing Hale?"

Opie nodded, making eye contact with Jax. Not liking the direction where it was going and he wasn't the only one. "Are you saying we use my sister as the payoff?"

"No, maybe, but she might be able to get him to side with us. Or at least get us info on his standing with Zobelle."

Carrie had been having some trouble sleeping, even though she was exhausted. Which was why she found herself sitting at Opie's kitchen table, with a glass of milk and a packet of Oreos.

Hearing the front door open, she froze with her hand halfway into the glass, to dunk a cookie. Before she heard the jingling of keys and the footfalls belonging to her brother, looking up at him as he came into the kitchen.

"What are you still doing up?" Opie questioned before taking a seat next to her. Reaching for a cookie as Carrie gave him a look. Making him smirk in return, he knew she wasn't one to share her food. Which was why he always did it anyways, even if she never said anything against it. Her looks were enough to have him smiling in satisfaction, knowing he had gotten to her.

"You do know those are mine right. I'm the only one that can eat them."

"You let Kenny and Ellie get some," Opie shrugged, making a show of him dipping the cookie into the milk and eating it. Causing her to narrow her eyes at him.

"Yeah, but it's their own pack. This is mine."

"Sharing is caring sis."

"Well I'm not good at sharing," Carrie answered, trying to pull the pack of cookies towards her and away from Opie. Before rolling her eyes and giving in, letting him eat some while grumbling under her breath.

"What was that?" Opie teased, annoying her further, knowing well what she said.

"I said that, who knew siblings could be so annoying," Carrie spoke up, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, tell me about it. You ain't that much of a delight yourself."

"Hey, I'm a fucking gem okay?"

"Yeah? That what Captain America tells you?"

Carrie rolled her eyes, knowing he wasn't too happy about her seeing David. But not as unhappy as Piney was, she still remembered the look on his face when he found out.

"What's that smile about?" Opie asked before holding his hand up to stop her from answering. "If it's about you and Hale banging or something, I don't want to know. Keep that shit to yourself."

"For your information, it's not and so what if I'm sleeping with him?"

"I'd rather not know he's getting it on with my sister."

Carrie snorted. "Getting it on? Seriously what era are you living in?"

"Doesn't matter. I don't want to know about that and neither does Pop. You remember how he took the news of you seeing him in the first place."

Carrie nodded. "Yeah, I thought he'd stopped breathing. He got pretty red in the face before he gave me an incredulous look and walked away."

"He's still pretty pissed that out of all the guys in Charming. You chose to date the one guy none of us can stand."

"Hey, he isn't a bad guy," Carrie defended. "You guys just don't like that he doesn't turn the other cheek when it comes to the club."

"Which is why I need you to do the club a favor."

Carrie gave him a skeptical look, while crossing her arms in front of her. "What kind of favor?"

"We need you to talk to Hale. Get him to side with the club on an issue, help us out."

"Opie you know David doesnt like the club," Carrie sighed, leaning back into the chair in defeat. Knowing the outcome with out talking to David. "It's pretty obvious, he warned me against the club before we knew the truth. He's never going to go for it."

"Then get him to open up," Opie pointed out. Leaning towards her. "Get us any info you can about him working with an Ethan Zobelle."

"He's not working with Ethan Zobelle," She said shaking her head.

"You sure about that? We gave him some info, which we knew was true and he claimed it to be a lie after checking it out."

"What kind of info?" Carrie furrowed her brows. Noticing Opie staying quiet. "Look, we're family. I don't want any secrets between us. If that means being privy to covering for the club. Then I'm all in because I don't want to see you, Pop or anyone else getting hurt, sent to jail or dying."

Opie sighed, knowing if he wanted her to do them a solid. He'd have to give her a reason to do it. "The club helps to keep crime and drugs out of Charming. Now Darby is cooking in our own back yard. We told Hale about the cookhouse. He checked it out but he told us it was bogus. We went to check it out and took care of it ourselves."

"So what does this have to do with Zobelle?"

"His guys are working with Darby's guys. Offering his dealers protection."

"So you guys think David is in their pocket because of the intel you gave him," Carrie stated, shaking her head. Looking up at his expectant face, she sighed before giving in. "Okay, fine. I'll try to help but I don't think he's working for this guy."

"Just talk to him, get a feel for it and if he tells you anything then let me know. Just know he might get on the defensive if it's true."

So think I might have my my groove back lol. I busted out Chapter Twenty Six yesterday. which I'm really proud of myself for getting five chapters out in one day even though I was having some trouble getting the words onto the page. I'm still adding to that last chapter and i believe the chapter before is a long chapter as well.

Fair warning those two chapters might leave you hating me for a bit lol.

Anyways let me hear what you have to say, you guys literally hype me up to keep writing and make it easier for the words to flow. Which means the more chapters i get out. The more updates you guys get, especially when i'm excited to get to certain chapters. So don't be surprised if you get spammed with updates today.

So keep an eye on that, so you don't miss out on it.

Also I'm thinking of ending this story once Season 2 ends and having the sequel pick up on the second book. Only because I don't want this one to have way more chapters than necessary.

With that said, I hope you guys enjoyed and continue to enjoy and read along.

Get ready though, just saying lol.
