Carrie had gone to visit David before her shift at work. She had just sat down when he had been called out of his office. Now, she sat contemplating on how she could approach the subject of Zobelle with him.

She had seen the man himself as she got out of her car. Both Zobelle and his sidekick Weston had been having a conversation as they headed towards their car. With Weston looking back at the station before getting in.

David had been looking at something on his computer screen when she got there, that had him acting nervous.

Looking over her shoulder, she noticed he wasn't anywhere near his office. Before looking back at his desk, biting her lip, weighing her options on snooping around. She glanced towards his door before moving towards his desk, sitting on the chair and moving the mouse. Bringing up the minimized page and seeing a still video, glancing up once more before clicking play.

She saw it was a surveillance video, showing different angles to a property. Not getting why the video would have him so nervous before she saw him on it. It wasn't that long but on it she could clearly see him taking an envelope from Darby before looking into it. There was no audio so she couldn't hear what was said.

"What are you doing?"

Started Carrie, quickly stood up. Trying to come up with a lie but couldn't think one fast enough as David made his way towards his desk. "You're in Zobelle's pocket."

"I'm not in anyone's pocket."

"I just saw Darby paying you off," Carrie argued pointing at the computer screen. "Darby is working for Zobelle and selling drugs in Charming. Which you're clearly overlooking, how much is he paying you?"

"I'm not in his pocket. I'm doing my job and how would you know? Is your brother or Jax filling your head with this stuff," David argued, before shaking his head. "It figures they'd try to turn you against me."

"I might have heard my brother mention it okay," Carrie answered before crossing her arms. "And no one is trying to turn me against you. Why would you think that?"

"Because the club clearly doesn't like me and you have a past history with Jax. For all I know he could be trying to put a wedge between us."

"You're accusations are what are going to drive a wedge between us. Can't you see that the club helps to keep Darby from pulling something like this in town," Carrie argued, angrily shaking her head. "And you're overlooking it but taking money."

"It wasn't money it was a coupon and I'm not overlooking it."

"Really? Well it doesn't look that way and you still took it from him David," Carrie sighed. "You have to see how incriminating that looks. Besides, why were you even out there in the first place?"

"I went to check about a disturbance call," David lied. "There was no evidence so I left. He gave me the coupon to go to Zobelle's shop that's going to be opening soon."

"You don't even smoke."

"I know, I told him that but he told me to keep it," David shrugged. "I figured I could give it to Jake."

"You're not lying to me?" Carrie questioned already knowing the answer. " Because you know you can tell me the truth. We agreed to be honest with each other."

"I'm not lying. That's the truth."

Carrie nodded, "Okay, I should get to work. I'm sorry for doubting you."

David silently watched as Carrie left before sighing as he sat down. He hadn't been lying when he said he wasn't in Zobelle's pocket but he hadn't been completely honest either.

"What do you want?"

Jax closed the door behind him. Before walking into the room and standing in front of David's desk. "Zobelle had Otto jumped in Stockton. The league's got reach straight to the Aryan shot callers."

David stood up, not wanting to be sitting down for what would surely turn into a showdown between them. It was always the outcome when emotions were high and right now Jax was pretty pissed. Even though he was trying to stay calm and not land a one way ticket to one of the jail cells.

"What does that have to do with Charming?"

"Don't you see it," Jax shook his head. "We don't know what we're dealing with when it comes to Zobelle. He's not like Darby, he's not some half bright thug. So, where do you stand when it comes to him?"

"Nowhere."

"You sure, because I gave you the meth lab and you gave Darby, who is working for Zobelle, a free pass," Jax pointed out, seeing anger spark in the deputy's eyes.

"I didn't give anyone a free pass!" David argued.

Jax scoffed while shaking his head. "Don't you see the pattern? Do you really hate the club that much? You're so hell bent on taking us down, that you keep getting in bed with the devil to do it."

Jax looked towards the window before facing David again. "It happened with Stahl and now it's starting to happen with Zobelle," Jax pointed out. "People die or they get hurt like Opie and Donna. What happened to Donna is because Stahl set it in motion and you know it."

"That was not on me," David argued, leaning towards him. "So don't pin it on me, when I had nothing to do with it."

"But you were the one helping her," Jax said, not taking his eyes off David. "What's it going to take for you to realize that Zobelle is the bad guy here? Is someone else going to have to get hurt by almost dying? Is that person going to have to be Carrie for you to finally get it?"

"Get out," David ordered through clenched teeth. Both men continued stare at each other before Jax shook his head and left.

Leaving David, to go over the surveillance video of the meth house explosion. "Oh shit," He muttered, rewinding the tape and freezing the frame. Looking at the very familiar face staring back at him.

Even though Carrie had been able to get some more rest now that Opie had come home. She was still feeling fatigued and to make matters worse sometimes she'd get hit with dizziness or nausea. Sometimes even suffering from intense headaches. Which wasn't sitting well with her but she chalked it up to her body still feeling the effects of the stress she had been under. Which the stress load hadn't fully been lifted, with Opie still avoiding being at home with his family. Not spending more than a couple hours with Donna or the kids. It was up to Mary and herself to continue to help out.

Mary was still around, but Carrie could see her aggravation and frustration in regard to Opie not fully stepping up. Leaving them to still care for the kids, while helping Donna and Mary wasn't having it anymore. Carrie knew it was only a matter of when Mary decided to pack her bags and leave and not a matter of if she would do it.

Which was why it came as no surprise when she walked through the front door, seeing the packed bags sitting off to the side. Feeling the sudden throb of a tension headache beginning, Carrie rubbed her temples in hopes of easing the ache. Hearing a throat clear from the kitchen.

"I'm sorry, honey. But I can't keep doing this. I love my son, Donna and the kids but he needs to man up. I know he's still hurting over almost losing Donna but the kids need their father. Donna needs her husband."

"I get it Mary," Carrie nodded, turning to look at Mary. "Believe me I do. I'm thankful you stuck around this long when you could have left the day after she came out of surgery."

"Believe me I would have but I didn't think it was fair to drop all the responsibility on you. Especially since Opie had hit the road but then."

Carrie gave Mary a small but grateful smile. Before closing the distance, hugging the woman, who had she had almost attached to. Pulling back with a wince as a specifically sharp throb ran through her head.

"You okay sweetheart?" Mary questioned, concern for the young woman running through her. Noticing how she had grown pale and the tight grip she had on the back of the chair.

Carrie took a deep breath, slowly letting it out as a wave of dizziness hit her full force. Slowly opening her eyes once it had passed. "I'm fine Mary, just been feeling a little ill. I'm sure its stress related. You know better than anyone how much stress we've been under lately."

"I get it. I can't imagine working at the hospital is making it any better," Mary patted her back, carefully keeping an eye on her and making sure she was truly alright. "I can stay a few extra days if you want me to. At least until you're feeling better."

Carrie shook her head, waving her off. "No Mary, I can't ask you to do that. I'm fine, if I can't handle it I'll get Piney, Opie or Gemma to help for a bit," she said giving her a weary smile. "You know how much she loves to be in everyone's business. At least this way she'll be of use by helping me out."

Mary laughed. "Don't let her hear you say that though," Mary replied shaking her head. Knowing if the SAMCRO queen heard, Carrie wouldn't have an easy time dealing with the woman. "I dropped off the kids at school. Donna went to therapy but she said Gemma would give her a ride home. So you don't have to worry about that, get some rest and take care of yourself. I'm going to stop by the garage on my way out of town. Let my son I'm leaving, hopefully that will help him step up."

"Take care of yourself too Mary, I hope you'll come and visit soon," Carrie said, turning to head down the hall. When another dizziness spell hit, this one turning her vision to blackout and hearing off except for the ringing in her ears. Feeling like she couldn't catch her breath before she fainted.

Mary had watched as Carrie turned becoming unsteady on her feet. She had questioned her if she was alright, moving to steady her. But she was too slow because before she knew it, Carrie was falling forward. Completely unconscious, her breathing was shallow as Mary quickly checked her over for any injuries from the fall.

"What the hell happened?"

Mary stood as Opie and Piney stormed down the hospital hallway, followed by the rest of the club and an injured Gemma. "She'd just gotten home from her shift, we were talking," Mary began to explain the situation, omitting the part the conversation had been about her leaving. There was no point to deal that blow just yet, at least not until they knew more about Carrie. "I told her to get some rest, you've seen how sickly she's looked recently. I noticed and mentioned she wasn't feeling well but she played it down."

Mary shook her head. "We kept talking for a bit more, before she turned to go lay down. That's when I noticed she was a little unsteady. I asked her if she was alright but she didn't answer. I saw her become deathly pale and it seemed like she was struggling to catch her breath before she went down. I checked her over but I couldn't see any visible injuries from the fall. I brought here after she came to."

"Shit," Opie muttered. Feeling worried for his sister. He'd almost lost Donna already, the last thing he needed was for something to go wrong and end up losing his sister.

"Yeah, scared me half to death too," Mary nodded, sympathizing in her son and ex-husband's worry. Even though the old man had yet to voice his feelings, she could see the worry in his eyes.

"Is she doing okay?" Gemma spoke up.

"Doctor is still checking her," Mary answered, looking at Gemma. Before turning towards Piney and Opie. "I called you as soon they took her in. She hasn't been back there for long but the nurse said a doctor should be out soon to give us an update."

Mary had just finished telling them when a Doctor walked out, pausing at the sight of them. He looked to be in his late thirties-early forties. With dark hair, that was starting to gray at the temples, and dark eyes. But was clearly intimidated but the leather wearing men, although he recovered rather quickly before approaching them.

"Family for Carolyn Blake?" He questioned, already knowing his answer before he voiced it. Since they were the only ones in the waiting room.

"Yeah, what's the verdict doc?"

"I'm Doctor Green," He introduced himself, cautiously looking around. Not believing they were all family but not really willing to oppose that statement. "I'm the physician in charge of overseeing Carrie's treatment while she's here. Which one of you is an immediate family member?"

"I'm her brother," Opie informed before pointing towards Piney. "This is her father."

Doctor Green nodded. "Do you mind if I discuss it here or do you prefer to do it privately?"

"They're going to find out anyways, might as well just relay the information once." Opie answered.

"Okay, well," Doctor Green paused to clear his throat. "Her oxygen levels were low. We're giving her some oxygen, to bring those levels up. We're running tests to narrow down the cause so we can administer further treatment."

"In the meantime we're going to keep monitoring her, make sure she doesn't have another spell like the one earlier," Dr. Green informed looking around the group. "While we wait for those results, we're also giving her fluids through an IV, given as she's dehydrated. That's all we know as of right now."

The group let out a collective sigh of relief. Before Piney spoke up. "Is she awake? Can we see her?"

"Yes, she is awake and you may see her," Doctor Green informed, giving them a small smile. "A nurse should be by shortly to take you to her room. I suggest limiting the amount of visitors going in at once. Just so she doesn't get overwhelmed."

"Thanks doc," Opie nodded, staring as the doctor left. Before turning to look at the group, he was going to tell them they could leave. But not only had they taken up the seats, sitting down around the room. Their intent clearly made without question, a nurse chose that moment to step in.

"Who's going to see Carrie right now?" The red head asked looking around the room.

"You three should go. We'll wait out here," Clay spoke up, motioning towards Mary, Piney and Opie.

"I'll bring Donna over as soon as she's out of physical therapy," Gemma informed Opie, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Opie nodded before the three of them followed her to Carrie's room. Where she softly knocked on the door before opening it and motioning them in. "You've got visitor's," she said, slightly pulling the curtain back to reveal Carrie laying in the hospital bed. Still looking a little pale and fragile. "I'll leave you guys to it. I'll be back later to check on you."

"Thanks Kenz," Carrie said, sounding a little weak. Watching as Mackenzie left, closing the door behind her to give them privacy. Before turning to them, giving them a weary smile. Trying to ease the worry that was clearly showing. "I'm fine."

"Yeah we can see that sweetheart," Piney pointed to the machines she was hooked up to.

"This is just a precaution and for show," Carrie answered, trying to play the situation off. While she was stared down by all three of her visitors. "I'll be out of here in a couple of hours."

"I told you to take it easy," Donna argued. "But did you listen to me? No, you were too stubborn to admit that it was getting to you."

Carrie gave Donna a dry look. Not bothering to reply as she ate her jello.

Not like she'd hear what I'm saying anyways, Carrie rolled her eyes as Donna kept lecturing her.

"You do know I'll be out of here soon right? This isn't that bog a deal," Carrie stated, immediately regretting her decision as Donna opened her mouth. Luckily the knock on the door followed by Dr. Green, cut off any response from Donna.

"I see you're getting some color back," Dr. Green made the observation as he came to a stop at the foot of the bed. "You're results came back in. Everything seems to look good but your iron levels are a little low. I'm going to prescribe you some iron supplements that should help bring them back up to normal."

"You also need to cut down on your stress levels," stated. "Your stress led you to have a anxiety attack, which caused you to faint. Which landed you here."

Donna gave her a pointed look. "You hear that Carrie? Doesn't it sound familiar?"

Carrie rolled her eyes, before sighing. "So do I need to go on medication for anxiety?"

Dr. Green shook his head. "Not at the moment. You mentioned this was the first time, it happened. What we'll do for now is just monitor it, make sure to keep your stress down. I know sometimes it can't be helped but try to not let it get to this point again. Your blood pressure was higher than normal because of it."

"Make sure you keep a well balanced diet and take your supplements. I recommend you to make an appointment with your physician, so they can continue to monitor your levels. Make sure they're back to normal," he gave her a smile. "Other than that a nurse should be in, in a little bit. She'll give you your discharge papers and prescription. Also, I recommend you to take some time off work or make some changes in your life, anything that will help manage your stress."

Dr. Green left shortly after that, leaving Donna to give her a smug look. "Will you look at that. He pretty much told you, what I've been telling you for the past three weeks. Are you going to listen now?"

Carrie once again rolled her eyes but she knew it wasn't going to be the last time. Something told her Donna was going to get payback for the times Carrie had been on her while she was recovering.

There we go.

Not much happened in the chapter other than Jax confronting Hale and Carrie ending up in the hospital. Along with Carrie snooping for info.

But at least she's fine and Donna is doing better.

So when it comes to Donna's recovery this is when it starts to get a little into the fiction side lol. Just because I don't want to drag out her recovery.

Anyways thank you guys for continuing to read and comment. I appreciate the support.
